Landon
Wendy is always causing fucking trouble. She has this idea that I will mate her because she and I have sex when I want, but I would never marry a cold-hearted female.
I hear her whispering to Davina, but I have more pressing issues. The elders walk in, and I don’t need them making a scene. I lead them away from my homecoming party. My brother James follows me.
“I’m glad you decided to come home and take a mate…” Oren one of the elders says.
“I’m here to let you all know, do not attempt to give me an order. I’m the ruler, the king of this pride and anytime you need a reminder I’ll be more than willing to give it to you.” I growl, as my eyes change to an amber glow.
The anger I feel at this moment could have me wanting to rip heads off. My brother James comes and puts his hand on my shoulder to calm me. I look at him and take a deep breath.
“Landon it’s only right for you to take a mate and start having cubs. It’s the only way the pride will survive.” Another elder speaks.
“My brother has not been in town for a day, now he has given you an answer, either you take it, or you find out why I’m the beast in the family.” James snaps.
I nod to my brother, and the elders leave one by one. James walks over to me and raises his brow smiling. I know what he wants to talk about the feisty female lioness named Davina.
“Landon, I see how you look at her and don’t pretend with me. You know your secret is safe with me, but where did you find her?” He asks.
“I walked in a small diner, and she was working there. I’m still trying to understand why she’s been on her own.” I reply.
“Doesn’t really matter you have made her a part of our pride, now the only thing you need to do is make sure the other females who are waiting to mate with you don’t kill her.”
“I think they would have a tough fight on their hand if they try, besides if they hurt someone I bring into my pride, it’s punishable by death.”
I turn and leave returning to my home.

After the house becomes empty, I find Davina in the kitchen sitting and drinking.
“Would you like to shower or take a bath?” I ask.
She looks up at me and nods yes.
“Landon where will I live, if I’m to stay here in this community?” She asks.
“You will stay here, there’s no other place currently, but I can have a home built for you within a year.”
“I’m not staying with you a year.” She growls.
“I’m not your enemy, and you are staying here, I promised you protection, and I can do that best here.”
“I can take care of myself, I don’t need you.”
“I know you don’t need me, but I want you to stay.”
“You have Wendy to keep you company, besides everyone is talking about you needing to take a mate.” She counters.
I move closer to her and bend, so I’m face to face with her as she still sits. My interest grows more every time I’m near her. I won’t let her leave, she belongs here I know it.
“You know I’m not used to someone wanting to be away from me. I’m not sure if it’s because you don’t trust me or if you find yourself attracted to me as I do you. Whatever the reason, you out in the world alone is wrong. You deserve to be with your own kind, and I will try to help you see that.”
I move closer wanting to kiss her again, but this time she turns her head.
“No, we shouldn’t.”
I stand and hold my hand out to her.
“I’ll show you to your room.” I simply say. I’m not used to rejection, and this only makes me want her more.
When I get to the door of the room where Davina will sleep, she tries to slip past me.
“Why are you rushing away from me?”
She stops and looks at me with this gorgeous eyes and my hand automatically reaches for hers.
“This will never work.” She says, looking at our hands joined together.
“We will never know unless we try,” I move closer, and I can smell her arousal. “How about I get us some dessert and wine.”
“Ok dessert and wine, nothing else?”
“We’ll see, you may attack me.” I laugh, and she smiles.
I take a shower and slip on a pair of my pajama bottoms.
After I pick up one of the pies left in the fridge and a bottle of wine I head back to Davina’s room.
I knock on the door, and she doesn’t answer, using my keen hearing I can tell she’s still in the shower. Opening the door, I begin to set us up in front of the fire place, cherry pie with wine has to make her want to stay.
As I’m lighting the fire place the bathroom door opens, and her scent fills the space in the room.
“Landon, I’m not dressed for you to be in here.” She says, softly.
“You smell wonderful…I’ll stay facing the fireplace until you are appropriate.”
“I smell wonderful compared to the dirty smell from being in a car and walking through the woods…”
“Whoa, you know what I meant, and besides I wanted you the entire car ride.”
She doesn’t reply, but I hear her bag open. She fumbles around, and it’s not long before she’s walking toward me. I turn and see her in a pair of white pajama pants with a tank top on. Her breasts are perfect, and her nipples are hard and ready for me.
“Cherry pie is one of my favorites, do you have whip cream?” She asks, sitting down on the floor.
“No, but I’ll remember for next time. Would you like some wine?” I ask as I’m pouring us both a glass. She looks up and sees both glasses full.
“I guess I do, it’s already poured, Landon.”
After I hand her our glasses, I position myself as close as possible to her. We are silent for a while looking into the fire eating pie and drinking wine.
“Landon tell me the truth are you here because they want you to mate with one of the females?” She asks, avoiding my eyes.
“I’m not going to lie and say no, but I’m not mating anyone until I’m ready.”
“You’re loved here that’s for sure. Seeing all those people greet you when we walked up was amazing. I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
“Did you ever seek out a pride to join?”
“No, I never wanted to be a part of a pride. I figured if my own parents didn’t want me, then why would a pride.”
“I want you.”
“I’m no good for you, Landon you need a mate, and that’s not what I’m ready for.”
She thinks she’s not good enough for me, but Davina is wrong, she’s exactly what I need. I may not want a mate right now, but having her around will not be a bad thing.
The pie is soon gone along with the entire bottle of wine. Davina stretches out on the floor on her stomach. I position myself behind her with my legs straddling her hips from behind. Slowly she turns and looks at me with passion in her eyes. I’m not sure where this will go between us, but I’m certain I can’t leave now. I must have her.
Gently I push my hands up her tank top from behind and begin a slow massage. She moans in pleasure, and I want to hear that sound more. I put a little more pressure using my hands wanting her to relax. I pull the shirt over her head and flip Davina over to see those breasts. Once she’s on her back, I lean down and lick one of her nipples. Davina purrs and reaches for my arms pulling me toward her.
I begin kissing Davina, and her hands are in my hair pulling me closer to her. I slip my hand in her pants and find her wet. I slip in a finger, and her body starts to move with me, I slip in another, and her body completely relaxes.
I pull out my fingers and place them in my mouth sucking her juices off. She watches me with her eyes barely open.
Quickly I pull off my pants then push hers down her legs. I slowly lift her legs onto my shoulders as I slip inside her. My head falls back, and my mouth opens, with no sound. Davina feels amazing, and I try to hold on, but her body meets me with such force with every thrust…in and out, in and out. I begin kissing her neck sucking as I continue thrusting inside of her. The more she moans, the more I want.
“Louder.” I coax.
She moans and screams pulling at my arms as I hold her legs in place. Once I feel her legs shaking I pick up the speed watching to see her come apart for me.
“Come for me Davina I want you to clench around my shaft.”
She looks at me, and with a loud roar she comes hard and fast. Her body is shaking , and her claws come out slightly scratching my arms causing blood to run out. I find my release soon after her thrusting hard enough to push us both forward on the ground.
I pull out and rest beside her. Davina turns into my arms and falls asleep. Once I know she’s sleeping good I pick her up and place her in the bed and leave her to rest.
