Quick Start (Quick Family Ranch Book 2) by Aden Lowe (13)

Chapter Thirteen

Marynne

Amazement rippled through my mind as everything I knew about sex and men turned over. This man showed me something incredible, and asked for nothing in return, in spite of his obvious need. I lay there with my head pillowed on his chest, trying to process it all.

Then the anger arrived. How could Grandmother lie to me about something so beautiful? Was she really that hateful? I didn't know why I even asked, when I already knew the answer. Yes, she was that hateful. Her every interaction with me had been guided by some sort of spite, or other negative emotion. I couldn't even bring myself to ask why. It didn't matter. She had poisoned my mind. How many other things had I missed because she made me fear them? She had taken advantage of a bad experience as a result of a poor decision, and used that as a weapon against me any time she thought I might start trying to decide things for myself again. She took every opportunity to remind me of the results of my poor decision making skills.

I thought about her resistance to my driving, or learning to cook, or really learning anything truly useful. Thinking back, it looked as if she wanted to keep me from enjoying any of the things that made life worth living.

Over the next several days, Sam and I slipped away at every opportunity. He always brought me to orgasm, but refused anything more until I took matters into my own hands, so to speak. Even though my body was satisfied, my mind wasn't. The bulge in his jeans intrigued me to no end, and I finally got my nerve up and opened his belt.

He hissed, as if in pain, and grabbed my hand as I unbuttoned his jeans. I pulled away from his grasp, then returned to my task, determined. This time, I would satisfy him.

"Marynne…You don't have to do this." His voice rasped, betraying his need.

"I think that's partly why I want to." I slid my hand along the hard ridge.

Sam

I gritted my teeth and held onto my self-control for dear life. Marynne's hand on my hard-on, even through the cloth of my underwear, was almost too much to bear. And then she did the unthinkable, and pulled me free. I watched her, carefully, determined to call a stop if she showed any signs of fear.

The expression on her face made me need her even more. A mixture of lust and apprehension as she looked and stroked silky fingers over my cock. She wrapped an experimental hand around my shaft, and my control slipped. My hips arched, instinctively begging for more.

When she leaned down and flicked her tongue out for the drop of pre-come waiting for her, I groaned and my muscles locked, ready to finish. "Marynne—"

"Shhh." Her warm breath on sensitive skin nearly undid me, but then she pressed the head into her mouth. The whole time she licked and kissed and learned my reactions, I struggled to maintain my discipline. I wanted to tell her I loved her, but saying it while my dick was in her mouth seemed insincere. I wanted her to have no doubts.

Her naked body pressed against me grew more tempting by the second. I had to touch her. I stroked along her belly and down until I found her wet heat and began to torture her in earnest. It was only fair, considering what she was doing to me.

She moaned as I slid one finger inside her, and with that tiny sound, she broke my resolve. Blind with desire and need, I thrust into her mouth, lost in the sensations. Without warning, my orgasm hit like a freight train. Fuck, I didn't intend to come in her mouth like that.

But instead of the disgusted spitting I expected, she swallowed every drop and licked me clean. "Mmm. I just found another thing I like to do."

God, this woman…It took forever to catch my breath and slow my heart rate. "Where did you learn to do that?"

She looked up at me, suddenly shy again, and bit her lip. "I talked to Ande. It turns out, she has quite the collection of books, ones she calls smut. I've read a couple of them. I wasn't sure if what they said was true, but Ande assured me that at least some of the things were."

Those words had me ready to go again. But one thing she said made far more impact than the sudden vision of her reading sexy scenes. She cared enough to go outside her comfort zone and ask another woman for advice. And she did that for me. For us. And I loved her even more for it.

Later, as we walked back to the house in the chilly evening, I realized our little outdoor adventures were about to come to a forced end. The weather wouldn't allow us too many more warm days to lie naked under the sun.

"We need a place to go. The Lookout is going to be too cold soon." For some reason, I didn't want to continue our little games in the house. Having others hear the sounds she made for me felt too much like sharing her, and I wasn't ready for that. No, we needed privacy. A place of our own.

"I'm sure we'll find convenient places." The smile in her voice warmed me. This woman had changed me, and it seemed I had changed her.

One day, I might even manage to confess. I loved her, and had known for a while, but the time just never seemed right to say it. With every passing day, I needed more of her, and I realized our current arrangement wasn't going to work forever. I needed all of her, and not just sex. That bullet was just going to have be bitten, and soon.
