Tempt the Boss: A Forbidden Bad Boy Romance by Katie Ford, Sarah May (52)

CHAPTER NINE

Becca

Slowly, I tiptoed around the big room, looking for various parts of my uniform. I couldn’t afford to lose even one piece, as we were hard up for cash. Let me rephrase that – I knew Trina couldn’t afford to lose even one piece, because she was always borrowing money from me.

As I searched for my panties and that damned maid’s cap, I let myself look once again at the big man slumbering peacefully in the bed. He was gorgeous, his body massive and solid, a veritable wall of flesh pressed against me most of the night.

Well, most of the night when he wasn’t in me. He’d made me come so many times that I’d lost count, my body limp and lifeless, like a rag doll after my fifth or sixth orgasm.

“Stop!” I’d breathed when I felt his hand questing near my cunny again. “I can’t!” I’d protested.

“Oh yes you can, little one,” he’d rumbled into my ear, his hand finding my love button unerringly. “You will,” he promised.

And he’d been right. We’d made love most of the night, only stopping a few hours before dawn to drop into a deep, dreamless sleep wrapped in each other’s arms. Surprisingly, he’d wanted to hold me close, whispering sweet nothings in my ear as he cuddled me close, wrapping his bulk around my womanly frame.

With a satisfied grunt, he’d fallen asleep right away, a heavy muscular arm draped over my waist and a thick thigh pressed between my legs.

This wasn’t the way most one night stands ended, right? Usually someone got kicked out in the wee hours of the morn? I knew it was me, and I wanted to escape before dawn, avoiding any awkward conversation.

Of course, no such luck.

“Whatcha doing, little one?” came a deep voice as I peered under the bed. Shit! He’d woken up.

“Um …” I fumbled as my cheeks reddened. “Looking for my underwear.”

He gave out a loud snort of laughter, looking absolutely adorable with his mussed hair, his green eyes surprisingly candid and friendly in the light of day.

“Well, where are you going, Trina?” he asked gently.

“I, um, have to get to school,” I fibbed.

“In that outfit?” he asked, an eyebrow arched as he looked over the French maid uniform.

“I’m going to go home and change first,” I stated. The truth was, I was already late for my job at the TV station, and my pay was going to be docked.

“A pretty girl like you doesn’t need to go to school,” he said silkily. “You must have plenty of suitors.”

I paused. The air had shifted subtly. “Um, well I have exams, and like I said last night, I’m not dating anyone,” I repeated. “Not that I’m asking you to date me,” I rushed on. “I’m just really busy that’s all.”

His eyebrows almost flew off his forehead.

“Not dating anyone, huh?” he repeated slowly, a cloud descending over his eyes. His face lost any semblance of friendliness, becoming a hard, unyielding mask. “Give it up Trina, I know you’re a liar.”

Now it was my turn to gape in surprise. “Lying about what?” Okay, I had been lying about a lot of things, including my identity, but I just needed to get out of here asap. “Never mind, I have to go,” I said, dropping the search for my underwear. It was useless. Trina was going to have to buy a new maid’s cap.

“You’re not going anywhere,” the big man ground out. “I know everything about you.”

What? This made no sense at all. This was like my worst nightmare come true, Prince Charming changing into an ogre right before my eyes. Quickly gathering my stuff, I didn’t reply and began heading for the door, my head ducked low.

But not so fast. The big man was like a panther and blocked the exit, his huge, naked body a wall that I had to pass through.

“I need to leave,” I stated firmly. “Right now.”

“I need to leave,” he jeered, repeating my words. “Forget it slut! I know you’re a gold-digger, Trina, I just needed to prove it. And now that I have my proof, you can kiss Caleb goodbye,” he growled. “Kiss that diamond ring goodbye too,” he sneered.

What the? What role did Caleb have in this?

“Who are you?” I asked slowly. “How do you know Caleb?”

“Your act is getting old,” he said coldly. “I’m Dominic, Caleb’s older brother. I always knew you were a tramp interested only in his money. You conveniently forgot all about your fiancé last night as soon as a richer man came along.”

My hand flew to my mouth. This couldn’t be happening. Caleb’s older brother had organized a sting to prove my sister was a gold-digging whore? This mistaken identity thing had gotten out of hand.

“I’m not Trina,” I said slowly. “Let me explain. I’m her twin sister.”

“Whatever,” he jeered. “The old twin excuse? You’re not even imaginative. You’re a redhead working Trina’s shift with a badge that says Trina,” he said, nodding at my nameplate. “You are Trina.”

“No, I’m not,” I said, shaking my head frantically. “My twin couldn’t make her shift, so she asked me to fill in last minute,” I rushed. “I’m Becca, her older sister.”

“Please, bitch,” he ground out. “You can’t stop lying, can you? You’re a lying, gold-digging whore, who can’t keep her legs closed.”

I didn’t have to take this. I charged the door, thinking he’d step out of the way, but just ended up running into his massive, naked bulk. His arms encircled me, holding me captive as I struggled furiously.

“Let me go!” I screamed, my legs kicking out wildly, hitting home on one of his shins.

“Oof!” he grunted. “Not so fast, bitch. You think I’m going to let you run off to Caleb and make up some sob story? I’m locking you away, and when Caleb realizes his fiancée was nothing but a lying, scheming whore, he’ll drop you like the garbage you are,” he rumbled.

“This is kidnap!” I screamed, my arms and legs flailing wildly. “You can’t do this!”

“Oh yeah?” he asked. “And who’s going to stop me? I had my PI check you out and you’re an orphan. No one’s going to even notice that you’re gone!”

“My sister will notice!” I screeched. “Trina will call the cops as soon as she realizes I’m missing.”

“STOP!” he roared. “Stop lying! This twin sister bullshit is getting old. Just shut up, no one’s every going to find you where we’re going.”

The enormity of the situation overtook me, and I fainted.
