The Zoran's Touch (Scifi Alien Romance) (Barbarian Brides) by Luna Hunter (7)

Chapter Ten

Beast

My breath returns to me.

What just happened?

My head is buried in Miah’s neck, her blonde hair surrounding me. Her fingers are tracing circles on my back, my cock still inside of my human mate.

My human mate.

Those are words I’d never have thought possible. If you told me that a month ago, I would have laughed in your face. Or snapped your neck, depending on my mood.

This human… she changes everything.

Everything.

Hate and anger have filled me since Pazar. After the injustice. After the disgrace. The humans wanted a beast, so I gave them a beast. One they would never forget.

It was an escape. A way out. A coping mechanism. The only way I knew how to make sense of the world.

Miah?

Her touch has showed me a different way.

She has awoken parts of me I thought had died that day.

Compassion. Empathy. Kindness.

Love.

The human female is incredible, in every way imaginable. When our lips touched, when my cock entered her, when our two bodies become one, I felt something change inside of me.

Something fundamental.

I didn’t know I was still capable of feelings this intense

“What are you thinking about?”

“Hm?” I ask, glancing up.

Her eyes are blue, like a clear blue’s sky in the spring, when the world is still and everything feels right in the world.

I’ve never admired the sky before, but right now, it feels like I have a whole new perspective on the world.

“You look lost in thought.”

“Yeah,” I answer.

Where do I even begin? How do I explain what she means to me without scaring her off? I know most humans are scared off me.

And with good reason.

How do I explain she awakened feelings I thought dormant? I thought had disappeared completely?

She runs her thumb down my cheek.

“Tell me what’s going on in that head of yours,” she says. “I want to know what you’re thinking. All of it.”

“You don’t,” I answer. “Trust me.”

“Try me,” she says. “I might surprise you.”

“You certainly have,” I admit.

“How so?”

I look down, my eyes darting across our entwined naked bodies.

“I didn’t expect to mate with a human female, for one.”

“Likewise,” she laughs. “If my sister saw me now, she’d have a heart attack.”

“You have a sister?”

Miah nods. “I can’t wait for you to meet her. If we…”

“If we ever get you back home,” I finish her sentence.

“Yes,” she says. A look of pain flashes across her face, and it just about breaks my heart.

What the hell is wrong with me? My armor hasn’t just been pierced — it’s been shattered. Me, caring about a human… it’s a damn miracle.

“We’ll find a way out of here,” I tell her. “I promise.”

“You know what? I think so too. Not that I have anything to go on, but it just feels that way, you know? Or am I talking nonsense?”

“No, I agree,” I tell her.

Miah’s hand slides down to my shoulders. She admires my tattoos, and I can already guess the question that’s burning on her lips.

I don’t want to talk about it. Not right now. I don’t want to break the good mood I find myself in.

“You called me Egon,” I say. “Why?”

“Well, that’s your name, isn’t it?” she says. “I feel like the moment you start eating me out, I kind of earned the right to use your real name, don’t you?”

“Can’t argue with that,” I laugh. A rush of blood travels straight to my cock as I recall her taste, as I recall the sight of her wet, quivering pussy, seeing the female arch her back in pleasure, throw her head back and moan my name.

If anyone has earned the right to use my given name, it’s Miah.

I thought Egon had died that day, but perhaps, it’s not too late for me

“Call me Egon then,” I tell her.

“Are you sure?” she asks.

“I’m certain, Miah.”

“Okay, Egon,” she smiles.

I lean and kiss her. No matter what happens, for the first time in months all feels right with the world.

Miah

I want to stay down here forever… but I know we can’t. We need to keep moving and find the research pod, if there even is one.

Real life beckons.

I’m not ready for it just yet.

I want to lie here a moment longer. I want to feel Egon’s breath on my neck just one more, kiss him one more time, feel his heart beat just one more time

“We should go,” my Zoran savior says.

“I know,” I sigh. “I don’t want to.”

“Neither do I,” he says. “But we should.”

We get dressed, stopping a few times to fool around and let our hands wander. I need to swat Egon’s hands away to stop his hands from roaming my thighs, which has got me laughing like I don’t have a care in the world.

I haven’t felt this carefree since I was a teen and dating my first boyfriend. Only Egon is more man than he will ever be..

Hand-in-hand we head back into the darkness of the tunnels, following a small stream from the other side of the lake.

“Are you sure this will lead us outside?” I ask as the darkness envelops us once more.

“Yes,” he says. “I can smell it. We’re close. Trust me.”

That’s one thing I do completely: trust him.
