Gunner: Northern Grizzlies MC (Book 3) by M. Merin (23)

Riley

After classes and the library, I head to Gunner’s shop. The door is locked but he opens it quickly after I knock, the warmth of his body chasing away the chill of the outdoors.

“Didn’t expect you, Sweetheart! Everything alright?” He says in between kisses.

“Uh-huh. Just have more reading to do but with the storm warning, I wanted to leave campus earlier than planned. Thought I’d read here and watch you work,” I say while I kiss his neck and nibble on his earlobe.

“Don’t mind the distraction one bit!” He leads me in and explains the specially ordered piece he’s working on.

I explain about my earlier meeting on campus and about the report I received; he basically shrugs it off but starts focusing on my breasts, instantly turning me to putty, he quickly slides my sweater and bra up out of his way. So much for reading here…

Moving his hands away, I kneel in front of him. Rubbing my face against his crotch while I work to unfasten his belt and jeans, I eventually pull his cock through the slit in his briefs. Sucking him into my mouth, I get very enthusiastic as he hardens with my tongue working around his wide cock.

As Gunner slowly works to thrust more and more of his length into my mouth and throat, we are completely oblivious to the change in the background noise. The door is not only open but when I take a breath and focus my eyes, three men are standing there. I fling myself off of him and behind the closest piece of furniture. My freak-out causes Gunner to swear and look around, grabbing his fully extended cock.

Three of us are calling out some version of ‘Shit’, ‘Oh my God’, or ‘Fuck’; while Hawk calmly says, “Hey Riley, nice to see you again,” As he closes the door behind him.

Gunner moves to pick me up and quickly carries me towards the back room, knowing how mortified I am. He coos into my ear and places me on the old sofa, working to get his package back in his pants.

“Gunner, I…” I stop, not even knowing what to say and too horrified to consider facing them.

“The two you don’t know are Jasper and Vice. Take a couple minutes but you’ll have to face them eventually.” He drops a kiss on my forehead, heading towards the main room; he veers suddenly towards the kitchenette. Pouring a finger of whiskey and delivering it to me, he heads out to meet his Brothers.

I look at the drink a moment then shoot it. Knowing my face is still bright red, I adjust my bra and sweater and follow Gunner back out to the main room. The men continue talking as I approach, but Gunner reaches a hand out toward me and I focus on that; knowing the others are watching me.

He pulls me into his side, drops another kiss on my forehead before replying to a question from the shorter man standing next to Hawk. I gradually study the three invaders.

Hawk gives me a small nod before looking quickly back to Gunner. The shorter of the other two keeps his eyes on Gunner, though from the twitch of his mouth I know he’s aware of my gaze. The tallest of the three is close to Gunner’s height but only carries about half his weight. His eyes are assessing me, unblinking. The darkest eyes I’ve ever seen.

I work to meet his stare unblinking and I quickly realize the look isn’t unkind, just curious. I know without being told this is Jasper. When their discussion pauses, I move forward with my hand out.

“Jasper? I’m Riley. Believe it or not, I’ve had more embarrassing days, not by much mind you.” I quip with some whiskey courage in me.

The shorter man snorts at my comment, “Vice?” Jasper hasn’t taken my hand so I drop it, just nodding at Vice.

“Hi Hawk. How is Anne?” I ask, hoping for a reply from one of these men.

“She’s good, I’ll tell her you still have her earrings on.” He smiles back at me.

I step back until I’m met with Gunner’s chest and he puts a hand on each of my shoulders.

Jasper looks over my head at Gunner. “Flint said he’ll back your claim when you make it. Are you sure?” I shift between either foot, wanting to kick this man who won’t acknowledge me.

“She’s mine. I’ve told you, I’m not letting her go.” Gunner firmly states. Jasper finally looks back at me and I’m too annoyed to blink or look away. Moments pass until he finally nods his head. He turns to leave and the other two follow him; “Welcome to the Club, Little Girl,” He calls over his shoulder.

We stand there even after the door has been closed behind them. I finally step away from Gunner, turning; “What the fuckballs, Gunner?”

“Fuckballs?” He tilts his head, smirking at me.

“Gunner!”

“Riley, Jasper was going Old School. He knows, whether he’s thrilled or not, that I’m going to claim you. He wasn’t going to acknowledge your greeting yet, in case it pissed me off.” He fiddles with his cock through his jeans and continues, trying to suppress a grin. “Vice is kind of a talker, so others will hear about this.”

“Can you take me there sometime? The clubhouse?” I don’t know why I feel the need to specify. I just know that everyone’s hesitancy about who I am is not going to go away if I don’t have the opportunity to get to know the men he calls his Brothers. “Me, spending time there might help?”

“You’re right, I meant to do it sooner, I just like having you to myself.” He says after staring at me a moment. “Maybe in a night or two, let me get Bree to be there, okay?” Stepping towards me and smiling at me, “Now where were we?”

“Keep it in your pants, Gunner! That door is unlocked!” I jump away from him, laughing as I hightail it to the door; I call back “See you at home!”

Turning to blow him a kiss, my big, scary giant pretends to catch it and plant it on his cheek. “I’ll be there in an hour. Let me just finish the sanding here?”

Giggling, I get into my truck, my embarrassment already a faded memory.

Locking up an hour later, I text Riley to let her know I’m heading home. I’ve already reached out to Bree and Connal; they’ll all be at the clubhouse the next night. That’ll be a nice group to get Riley comfortable. With Ol’ Ladies present, the Girlies generally move parties to the back rooms; so that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

I’ve been able to get a good amount of inventory built up and am going to discuss the possibility of the store with Flint and Jasper the next day. I know Jas is still dealing with the embezzlement issue, but I want to get his read on it.

Frowning that Riley hasn’t texted me back, my next call is to Hawk. I start to run the idea of a store past him but he quickly mumbles something about ‘the boss’ and hands the phone to Anne. She is interested in further formulating the plan and will talk to Danna; the third person I had thought to include. I try not to get too excited, but this just might work.

I walk into a nearly dark apartment with the sound of Riley’s raised voice coming from the bedroom. Following that down the hall, I enter the bedroom to find her pacing. Phone in hand.

“Mother, that simply isn’t true.” Seeing me, she points to the bed. I sit on the end and am momentarily surprised when she curls up on my lap. I pull her into me, hiding my grin. Placing my chin on the top of her head, I’m so pleased she finds comfort in my presence; as I do hers, that I barely pay attention to her conversation.

Until she exclaims, “For the love of God!” Looking up at me, “Gunner, are you grooming me for a sex ring or to be a mule? Mother isn’t sure which, but apparently it’s one of the two!”

Rolling my eyes, “Neither, I’m keeping you all to myself and out of trouble.” I reply in a voice loud enough to be heard, given my proximity to the phone.

“I didn’t lie, he wasn’t here and now he is; why would it even matter if he’s with me or not?” She asks, giving me a bad feeling. It would only matter if someone were coming to get Riley and wanted her alone. “Whatever, enjoy Boise.”

Riley pitches the phone over my shoulder and turns to straddle me. She starts relaying the conversation, one that lasted nearly ten minutes but got nowhere.

“Sweetheart, when she first called, did she ask if you were alone?” I ask her softly.

“What?” She’s started nuzzling my neck. “Oh, yeah, she asked if you were here. The whole conversation was weird. I don’t think we’ve ever talked that long.”

Getting up, I place her on the bed, moving to the gun nook I built into my side of the bed frame. I put my Glock in the back of my jeans and go to check that the doors are locked. Looking out the front window, I’m relieved to see a fairly empty street.

“You think they were going to try to take me, don’t you?” I can barely hear her voice though she’s not more than ten feet behind me.

“Sweetheart, I don’t know that.”

Riley

I don’t even know what to say at this point. I turn back to the bedroom and quickly get into bed, hugging a pillow to my chest.

“Hey, Sweetheart, it’s going to be alright.” Gunner has followed me back and slides in behind me. Turning into him, I worry about how much more of my family drama he can stand. He continues to rub my back, telling me about going to the MC bar the next night to hang out a bit. I smile, hardly distracted, but happy that I’ll see Bree again.

Moving closer into him, I notice him shifting away from me. And remember the unfinished business from earlier. Grinning to myself and not saying anything, I keep moving into him and he moves back, unaware that I’m in slow pursuit of the object that he seems determined not to share with me as he continues to soothe me.

A giggle finally escapes me and he draws back from me, frowning. “Something funny, Sweetheart?”

I start laughing and he starts growling at me. “I’m trying to make you feel better, dammit!”

“Why don’t you make us both feel better, Gunner?” I coo.

“Be careful what you wish for Riley.” He rolls off the bed, removing his clothes and telling me to do the same. After I do, I lay back, spreading my legs for him; frowning as he moves towards the bathroom. “Picked this up for you the other day,” He comes out rubbing something all over his cock. “Get that ass in the air, Sweetheart. I’m making that tight, little hole mine tonight.”
