A Heart Reborn (The Doctors of Atlants Book 3) by BK Harrell (13)

Chapter Ten

Sarah awoke the next morning feeling sated and sore in all the right places. Even though they had napped after their first two rounds, Coop had woken her up several times throughout the night to make love to her again. She was thankful that they had the day together before leaving for their respective parties, and if all went well, she’d end up in his bed tonight as well. Sarah disentangled herself from Coop, needing the bathroom and coffee. After finishing her morning ritual, Sarah was standing in front of the coffee maker waiting for it to finish her cup of caffeine. At the rate, they were going, she was going to need a nap before this evening. Just as she picked up her coffee to drink it she felt a set of strong arms encircle her waist.

“Good morning, beautiful. I didn’t like waking up to an empty bed.”

“Sorry, but nature called and I wanted some coffee. I need my energy to keep up with you. I swear, all I did was catnap all night long.”

Coop smiled at her, “It’s been three weeks. What did you expect? I remind you, you started it all yesterday. I meant to talk to you about this yesterday, but you had other ideas. You don’t have to come to Sunday dinner. I can tell mom that you already had other plans.”

“No can-do cowboy. I already told her we’d be there yesterday. You can’t rid of me that easily.”

“I don’t want to get rid of you. I just don’t want you to feel obligated. Mom, can be…a little overbearing at times.”

“I don’t do anything I don’t want to do. I’d like to see your family again, and meet your nieces and nephews.” Sarah caressed his face with her fingertips and looked in the azure blue eyes that were blazing with want. Sarah sat her coffee cup down, and kneeling in front of Coop, she pulled his flannel pants down. As his erection sprang free, Sarah took the shaft in her hands and the crown between her lips. She proceeded to give Coop the best wakeup blow job she had ever given. As she worked him over, Sarah noticed that he had a white-knuckle grip on the countertop. Sarah just hoped that Coop didn’t collapse on top of her. She loved the taste of his salty musk, and kept up her efforts until she felt his release spill down her throat.

“That was…earth shattering. I could get used to this every morning.” Coop picked Sarah up and carried her back to bed where he ravaged her body for the next few hours before he ravaged her in the shower.

Sarah felt boneless after her fifth orgasm of the morning since waking up. She sat at the vanity drying her hair and getting ready for the day with the girls. The bachelorette party was starting at three with a shower and drinks. Sarah was thinking ahead to her night and the afterparty she planned to surprise Coop with. She had selected a form-fitting mini-wrap dress in siren red that would match the new heels she bought for yesterday’s outfit. The big surprise for Coop was that she would be commando under the dress. After finishing her preparations, Sarah said good bye to Coop, but didn’t let him get too frisky for fear of ruining the surprise.

The bachelorette party started at Nicole and Lincoln’s lake house. Nicole had a caterer set-up and a bartender taking care of the drinks. Everyone was having an extraordinary time. Sarah enjoyed watching Marcie blush every time she opened a new gift. She and Elisha had picked out particularly bawdy gifts from their trip to Starship. Elisha gave her a double hot double penetrating vibrator which Marcie looked at with an amused smile, but clearly had no idea what the other end was for. Sarah’s gift was a Rabbit vibrator with pineapple lube.

By the time the presents had all been opened and the beverages consumed, the party bus had arrived. Sarah, Nicole, and Marcie all took an overnight bag with them because they had plans for later. Elisha had helped Marcie with a costume for later, and arranged with the girls at Cheetah to get Cole alone in the Executive VIP lounge.

They set off for dinner at Rathbun’s in Buckhead. Dinner was great, the girls all enjoyed their steaks, but the most fun was had sitting around the fire pit drinking wine and smoking cigars. Apparently, Nicole had pilfered a large number from Lincoln’s stash and had something for everyone. Sarah was a cigar virgin, and was excited to have that cherry popped by her girlfriends. Even more so, she was thrilled that she found out that she enjoyed smoking cigars. It would give her and Coop something they could enjoy together. Although she had extremely limited knowledge in cigars she certainly enjoyed the Davidoff that she was smoking. Sarah could smell the cigar Nicole was smoking and thought it was very nice. A lot heavier than hers, but it seemed pleasing to the palate. “Nicole, if you don’t mind me asking, what are you smoking?”

“Not at all. It’s one of my favorites, an Opus X Shark by Arturo Fuente. He’s a friend of Lincoln’s and keeps him stocked in exchange for the donations and the charity work he does with his foundation in the Dominican Republic. I have more if you would like to try one.”

“I don’t think I could handle a whole cigar like that, could I try yours just to see the difference?”

“Sure.” Nicole said with a hint of evil in her eye. She wasn’t sure what she was in store for, but she wasn’t sure she was going to like it. Sarah took the cigar from Nicole and took a long puff. She coughed from the strength of the cigar, and felt like she might actually hurl.

“See, Marcie. That’s why I keep telling you that you’re not ready for the heavy stuff. See, Sarah there is turning a little green around the gills. Stick to your Davidoff Millenniums and Nicaraguas. Sorry, Sarah. I don’t mind sharing, but that is a big boy and big girl cigar. I’ve been at this for a few years.”

Sarah’s coughing fit finally subsided and she said, “No shit, that’s a big girl cigar. Damn, if I’d started with that one, I’d never want to never smoke another cigar.” Everyone laughed.

By the time they finished, the party bus was back to take them to Hunk-O-Mania for a little male entertainment.

Sarah sat beside Elisha and Nicole, watching as the women kept stuffing dollar bills in the G-strings of the men. All Sarah could think about was that none of these men came close to comparing to Coop. Although she was getting a little turned on, it just made her want to get to Coop sooner rather than later.

Elisha looked over at Sarah and said, “You know, most of them are gay, right.”

Sarah choked on her drink. “Really?”

“Really.”

After they had filled the coffers with money and embarrassed Marcie with several lap dances, the girls boarded the bus to crash the guys party, even though none of the guys knew they were coming. When they arrived at the Cheetah, Elisha, Sarah, and Nicole took Marcie to the dressing room to get her changed. Elisha had worked it out with Bunny to take Cole to the Executive VIP lounge and get him ready. None of the guys had seen the ladies because they had avoided the VIP area.

Coop sat there staring at the stage, wishing that Sarah was here with him or actually that he was home with Sarah watching her dance for him. The guys were all well on their way to being wasted. It was fun watching his bosses indulge in the activities. He had a new respect for them as guys that could be serious, but still have a good time with their friends. Coop still wasn’t sure exactly how he got invited, but he was glad he made the effort to come. The girls all seemed to know these doctors and their friends, and there was a parade of gorgeous women that came by non-stop. Even when they tried to buy him a lap dance he politely declined. Coop was sitting their daydreaming when he thought he saw Sarah. That was crazy because she was with the women at their party.

Suddenly, a stripper he knew as Bunny came and took Cole away to the Executive VIP lounge for a private dance. That was one of the advantages of having money. You could do these things in private so that no one ever knew. Just he turned back around from watching Cole disappear into the room, a set of arms encircled his chest and a familiar scent filled his nose.

“Miss me stud?”

Sarah was here. Coop thought he must be living right.

“Hey beautiful. Did you come to dance for me?”

“As a matter of fact, I did.” Sarah turned his chair around and straddled his lap moving seductively to the music. Coop hadn’t been hard all night, but within a minute of Sarah arriving he was hard as a diamond.

“Did you come here just to see me?”

“Nope. We have a little surprise for Cole.”

Bunny sat him down in a chair in the middle of the room.

“Remember, baby, no touching.”

“I can remember.”

Cole sat there watching as Bunny swayed to the music and started to take her top off.

“Your friends thought you might like this.”

Cole sat there as she went behind him and then easily handcuffed his wrists to the chair and blindfolded him. Cole wasn’t sure he was going to enjoy this. He hated losing his sense of sight. He could still feel Bunny’s hands on his shoulders and back as the music thumped through the air. Then suddenly her hands disappeared.

Bunny moved away as Elisha and Marcie silently entered the room.

Elisha took Bunny’s spot behind Cole rubbing his shoulders as Marcie straddled him and started to gyrate to the music.

Cole thought this was interesting. Two for the price of one, but damn he couldn’t see them. Then he caught a whiff of the stripper in front of him and he knew that scent. That scent belonged to Marcie, but why would the stripper smell like Marcie? Unless, no it couldn’t be. Then the hands at his back were gone and blindfold removed to reveal his goddess in front of him.

“Hey stud. I hear you’re getting married, and wanted to make this special for you.”

Cole smiled as he watched Marcie move to the music and slowly remove her clothes. She was the most beautiful woman in the world. He wanted to reach out and touch her, but he was restrained and remembered the rules of no touching.

Marcie straddled Cole and ground her heated center on his manhood. She felt the shocks permeate her body every time she brushed her engorged nub across the hard ridge. Marcie took Cole’s head in her hands and kissed him deeply before going down and freeing his erection.

Cole was pretty sure this wasn’t allowed, but who was he to argue as his soon to be wife gave him a blow job to end all blow jobs.

Marcie finished with a flourish and released Cole’s erection with a pop from her mouth as she licked her swollen lips. “Did you like your surprise?”

“Loved it. I’d love it even more if I could touch you right now.”

Marcie reached over to the table and picked up the handcuff key to unlock Cole. Once she did his arms encircled her and pulled her down on his lap. “Thank you for this. Best bachelor party ever. Want to get out of here? I got us a suite at the Four Seasons. Hell, I got everybody a suite at the Four Seasons.”

“Nowhere else I’d rather be.”

Coop sat in the VIP section with Sarah on his lap as they watched Cole and Marcie emerge from the Executive lounge. He couldn’t help but laugh at the big, dumb, goofy smile Cole was sporting. Whatever went on in there, must have been epic. As they sat there, he considered getting Sarah a lap dance, but as his hand wondered up and down her thighs his fingers finally discovered that she was commando under the dress. Looking to see that all the other men were indisposed with their women or a dancer, Coop looked at Cole and Lincoln and said, “Thank you for including me, but time to get the check, and make like a baby and head on out.”

The guys all laughed at Coop’s OB reference, and waved goodbye as he was practically pulling Sarah out the door behind him.

“Wait, I have to grab my bag. I was planning on this being an overnighter.”

Coop waited while Sarah grabbed her things and hailed a taxi to take them to the Four Seasons. The ride up to the suite was taking way too long, but Coop didn’t want any video footage of what he planned to do to Sarah when he got her to the room. Finally, they arrived outside the door to the suite and Coop was so anxious that he kept fumbling with the key before Sarah took it from his hand and slid it into the lock.

“No need to be nervous stud. I’m a sure thing,” she said with a little bit of sauciness in her voice as she opened the door and pulled him inside. Sarah quickly looked around the room and was amazed at the opulence of their surroundings. This was bigger than her first apartment in college and all for one night. She looked over to see the sliding glass door leading to the balcony. She pulled Coop over to the door and opened it, exiting onto the balcony. She stood there admiring the view, while Coop was pressed against her back, trailing kisses down her neck.

“I know you’ll think I’m crazy, but I want you to do me out here. I want you to fuck me from behind so the world could see us if they were watching.”

Coop was taken aback by the request from this once shy and timid girl, but who was he to say no. With her heels on she was the perfect height and a mini dress with no panties she was his for the taking. He quickly lowered his zipper freeing his erection and slid it between her thighs teasing her with each stroke. Coop slid home, and he heard the catch in Sarah’s voice as he slid in and out of her. He really wanted to savor this moment and the sensations that were coursing through him threatening to make his heart burst. Alas, Sarah had other ideas and prodded him to pound her hard and fast. Coop was already turned on from earlier and the thought of someone seeing them, took it up a notch. He was so close to finding his release, but his rules were simple; the woman always gets hers first. He wrapped his hand around and stroked Sarah’s clit in time to his thrusts. In no time at all, he could feel her clench around him, milking his cock and pulling him into the abyss with her.

“I can’t wait any longer, Sarah. I love you. I never stopped loving you.”

Sarah’s breath caught in her throat as tears pricked at her eyes. She turned around and took Coop’s face in her hands, and kissed him deeply and passionately. “I love you too, Coop. I fear though there may come a time when you feel like you can’t love me, and I don’t think I can go through not having you again. This first time when I walked away, it nearly killed me.”

“Then don’t walk away, Sarah. Fight for us. Fight for the future that we deserve.”

“Coop, I…will fight for you every day. Every…DAMN…DAY.”

“Then why are you so sure there will come a day that I can’t love you anymore?”

“It’s just a feeling. I’ve been so hesitant to tell you how I feel because if you don’t know, then when you walk away or cast me aside it won’t hurt as badly.”

“I don’t get it, Sarah. Never mind, I can see I won’t change your mind tonight. Just know that this thing between us is real and there is nothing you can do to change my mind.”

Sarah broke down in tears knowing the secret she possessed. She clung to Coop like it was the last time she would ever see him. With her tears finally subsiding, she looked at Coop and said, “Take me to bed, Coop. Make love to me until the sunrises.

Coop did as he was asked and made love to Sarah. When they finished their last bout of love making, they laid in bed and watched the sun slowly start to rise and the bright reds chase away the darkness of the night. Coop pulled Sarah close to him. Wrapping a possessive arm around her as she peacefully slept next to him, his mind thought back to their conversation on the terrace the night before. He still couldn’t begin to decipher what she meant by not being able to love her in the future. He’d loved her since he met her, even though they had been apart for ten years. Coop felt Sarah stir in her sleep and pulled her closer. His thoughts were unsettled as he finally drifted off.

Sarah awoke with a start, looking at the clock realizing it was eleven-thirty and they had to be in Lawrenceville by one.

“Shit…Coop. COOP!!! Wakeup. We’re going to be late.” Sarah jumped out of bed as Coop finally stirred awake. “It’s eleven-thirty, Coop. We can’t be late to your mother’s house for lunch.” Sarah ran into the bathroom and marveled at the marble countertops and the shower big enough for four. Not having the time to stop and think about the opulence of the bathroom, Sarah jumped into the shower before the water had a chance to warm up and let out a yelp.

Coop came running into the bathroom. “What’s wrong, Sarah?”

“Nothing, just jumped into a cold shower by mistake. Hurry up, we’ve gotta get ready.”

Coop started to get into the shower with Sarah, and nearly made it before she put her hand up shooing him away.

“We’ll never make it if you get in here, and after the way I was re-introduced to your mother, I can’t afford for us to be late.”

Coop just laughed, but he backed off and went to shave and brush his teeth while Sarah finished her quick shower. The only problem was, the clear glass provided a spectacular view of Sarah’s body. He marveled at the water as it slushed off her body and nearly lost it when she bent over to soap her shapely legs. He had always had a thing for her legs. They were long and wrapped around him with such grace. Coop tried to shake himself away from his thoughts before he got an…never mind he thought too late. He had a raging hard-on and wasn’t going to be taking care of it in anyway except for an ice-cold shower.

Sarah looked over at Coop and just smiled her seductress smile at him. “Problem, big guy?”

“Nothing a cold shower won’t fix.” Or ten minutes with you in the shower.

“Well then, you better jump in and hurry up.”

Remarkably, they were dressed and in Coop’s Porsche 911 Carrera S in thirty minutes. Sarah, wished that he would slow down, not because he was driving badly, but her nerves were in a knot knowing that she was about to face his family again. Sarah sat quietly staring out the window as the scenery passed holding on to Coop’s hand as her lifeline. Finally, they pulled into the old colonial style home. She saw that they were the last ones to arrive and gritted her teeth, because she assumed his mother would think they were late due to some extracurricular activities.

After Coop parked the car, he looked at Sarah and said, “Don’t worry. They only bite after dark. I’ll have you out of there long before that.”

Sarah tried to smile but failed miserably. “Please don’t leave me alone. I don’t think I can handle an inquisition today.”

“I won’t leave you alone. I promise.”

Coop took Sarah’s hand and led her up to the front porch, and before they could open the door, it swung open and Harrison’s mother came through the door and engulfed them both in a big hug.

“Mrs. Cooper, I mean Alice. It’s so good to see you again. Thank you for inviting me over for lunch.”

“You’re welcome, Sarah. It’s nice to see you fully clothed this time.” Alice said with a smirk.

Sarah blushed from head to toe. “Yes, ma’am. Sorry about that again.”

“Don’t be sorry. I told you, I was young and crazy once, and it explained why Coop had seemed so happy lately. Come on in. Everyone’s in the family room. Make yourself comfortable. Harrison, your dad had to run to the office to take care of a problem, so he won’t be here for lunch. He sends his apologies.”

“No problem, Mom. I understand.”

Coop led Sarah into the family room. He hugged his brother and sister, Evan and Lucy. “I know it’s been a long time, but I hope you guys remember Sarah.”

The reception that Sarah received less than enthusiastic, icy would have been better. She knew that she deserved whatever they dished out for her. Sarah had left Coop devastated. She had no doubt of that. Sarah extended her hand to greet each of them and exchanged a luke-warm greeting. All the while, Coop held her hand giving her strength.

Alice came into the room and surveyed the scene before her and shook her head. “Lucy and Evan, could you help me in the kitchen for a minute.”

Alice turned around glaring at both of her children when they got to the kitchen. “I don’t know what’s going on in there, but you two know better than to treat a guest in this house the way that you are treating Sarah. Whatever happened in the past, is just that - the past. The only person that can make a decision about whether or not to let Sarah back into their life is Harrison. They have to work out whatever issues they had, and you will not cause them any problems. Am I understood?”

They both looked at the floor rather sheepishly before responding, “Yes, ma’am.”

They all walked back into the family room to find Harrison playing with the kids and Sarah watching him with rapt attention.

Sarah smiled as she watched Coop get down on the floor and play with the kids. Deep down though, she felt guilty for depriving him of the time with Harry. He would make a great father, and she only hoped that she would get the opportunity to watch him with Harry. Sarah saw his mother and siblings walk back into the room. She didn’t know what was said in the kitchen, but they seemed to have a different attitude.

Lucy walked over and sat down beside Sarah. “I’m sorry for the way I acted earlier. I love Harrison and don’t want anyone to hurt him. I just want him to be happy. If you make him happy, that’s all I can ask. Please don’t hurt him again because the last time nearly destroyed him.”

“I’m sorry for what happened. I never had a sister growing up, and well, I thought we could have been close. I’ll promise to try and not hurt him in the future.” God, she was going straight to hell for lying. She was sitting here telling Lucy a boldfaced lie, because she knew when Coop found out he was going to be hurt.

Before she could say anything else, Alice called everyone to the dining room to eat lunch. They all sat down and enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch.

After lunch, they sat around the family room and drank coffee catching up. Sarah felt more comfortable with everyone as the afternoon went on. She was glad that they didn’t seem to be judging her for the past, but she was sure that they would talk about it after they left.

Finally, Coop stood up and thanked his mom for lunch and made an excuse for them to leave.

Sarah hugged everyone as they said their goodbyes, but it wasn’t until they were in the car on the way to Lincoln’s house that she let herself relax.

“Sorry, about that. I’ll kick their asses later for the way they treated you when we got there.”

“Don’t say anything please. It’s obvious that they love you and just want to protect you. I know I hurt you deeply ten years ago. I still feel like I have a lot to atone for.” More than you know. “I can take it. I promised your sister I would do my best not to hurt you again. We just all have to try and move forward.”

“Fine, but I won’t tolerate it if it continues. They should accept that I choose you, and they don’t get a say in it. After all, I didn’t get a say in their spouses. I love you, Sarah, and nothing is going to change that. I’m having a hard time understanding your reluctance to let go of the past and move forward. I’ll give you whatever time you need, even it takes a few more years. Mind you, I don’t want it to take that long, but I’ll wait for you.”

“It won’t take a few years, but we still have some growing and understanding to do. I promise you, if you still want me in a few months, we’ll absolutely move forward. Maybe I can finally move out of my mother’s house. Oh my, that sounds so bad. A thirty-one-year-old woman still living at home. At least I don’t have any cats. Hell, I don’t have any pets for that matter.”

“It’s not sad. Why move out when you’ll eventually end up moving in with me.” Coop said with a smirk.

“You seem sure of yourself. Just remember, I told you so if it doesn’t work out.”

Sarah had been so lost in their conversation that she didn’t even realize they had finally reached Lincoln’s house. After pulling into the driveway, Coop walked around to open her door and grab her bag. Sarah was sad to end the weekend, but she had to get home to Harry and get ready for the week, even though it was rather light, since she was helping Marcie with wedding stuff. Sarah kissed Coop goodbye, and let him close her door before driving off. She hated that she couldn’t just go home with him, but she had a real life and the fairytale that was Harrison Cooper had to wait.
