Decker's Wood by Kirsty Dallas (24)

DECKER

12 months later

There was something missing, and I had spent the last two weeks staring at the fucking thing, trying to figure it out. A wall here, a doorway there, and in the end it had been simple. Lighting. More windows. I had duplicated the floor to ceiling arched bay windows that were already present at the front of the apartment and then added skylights, three at the front and another three at the back. Perfect! I grinned at the finished plans before me. It was my final assignment for college which would inevitably be the plans for mine and Andi’s new apartment. When I say new, I mean a refurbish of the old one. Steele Structures had acquired the building beside Andi’s, and we would begin renovating within weeks. I had made sure the apartment directly beside Andi’s had become mine. I was going to knock out the wall and double our space. As much as I loved the quirky retro themed studio apartment, it wasn’t big enough for two. My architect’s easel took up most of the window space. I liked working in front of the big windows, the lighting was perfect. The bathroom needed to be bigger as well. I couldn’t seem to keep my damn hands off Andi, even when she was in the shower; we needed one of those double header babies. Remembering my mauling of her sweet little body the previous night as she had been soaking in the bathtub had me grinning from ear to ear. One year together and my once rebelling and impassive dick was still raging hard for Andi. It seemed the little Texan had conquered my manhood and my heart. An ear splitting scream cut through the air and I dropped my ruler and pencil, storming down the stairs to the back room where I was sure the scream had come from.

“Andi!” I called out, skidding around the corner, into the storage room. She was standing on a crumbling box, fear in her big doe eyes.

“GET THAT FUCKING THING AWAY FROM ME!” she yelled. My gaze followed hers. A rat had been caught in one of the traps I had put down here. It was as dead as stone.

“Christ, Country, you scared the ever loving shit outta me.”

She pinned me with that fiery gaze that could move mountains. Or freeze them. Basically that gaze put man and nature at her very fingertips. I scooped up the lifeless rodent and trap, throwing it in a box of trash by the door.

“I’ll put it out back in a sec,” I confirmed quickly, my hands held high. “I just gotta give you a hug. You took ten years off my life, and you look as though you need one.” The box she was standing on crumbled beneath her, and I lunged forward, catching her before she had a chance to fall to the floor. She was trembling under my hands. “Poor little rat, you scared it to death,” I joked.

She thumped my back. “You’re worried about the rat?” She huffed.

“'Course I am, you’re so big and tough, he didn’t stand a chance.” She gave a little jump and I accepted her weight in my hands, her legs wrapping around my waist.

“This seems familiar,” she whispered.

It had been a little over a year since we had been here, like this. The day Andi had flown into my life and changed it for the better. One year of ups and downs, mostly ups though. Being recognized in public was still something that bothered Andi, but I can't say I blame her though. As much as I wish I could change my past, I couldn’t. All I could do was concentrate on our now and our future. I put every ounce of my time and effort into that and it was no hardship. Knowing today and tomorrow had Andi in it made each and every day perfect. Even on the not so perfect days, they were bearable as long as Andi was by my side.

Things had gotten interesting when Bradley and Leah started dating a few months back. It was good to have him back in New York. It was good to see him going through some semblance of what I went through. Finding your ‘it’ could be daunting. The chance of losing ‘it’ was enough to make a grown man tremble. I kissed Andi’s neck, nibbled the bottom of her ear lobe, and finally found her lips which were just as sweet, soft, and perfect as always. She opened her mouth to let me in and I didn’t hesitate. My tongue plunged inside, tasting and tangling with her own. My cock punched hard at the zipper of my jeans, and Andi rubbed hard against me, a long moan drawing from her incredible mouth.

“Oh for Christ’s sake, you scared the bejeezers out of me!” squawked Casey from behind us.

I reluctantly pulled my lips from Andi’s and glanced over my shoulder. Casey held a sopping wet Pomeranian under one arm and a bottle of shampoo in the other. Lionel had a golf club.

“You own golf clubs?” I asked a little surprised.

“Protection that you don’t need a license for,” he explained, looking around the room for the intruder.

“Rat in the box to your right. Andi killed it with her terrifying screams.”

Lionel smiled. Casey rolled his eyes.

“I guess that would explain the post rat killing exploits.” He pointed at us. “Nothing like a little rodent murder followed up with some vertical fuzzy bumps.”

Andi burst out laughing as Casey turned indignantly and walked away.

“I’ll lock the door behind us,” Lionel sang, also turning to leave us.

My attention swung back around to Andi but was quickly interrupted again. “And I’ll dispose of this,” Lionel murmured as he came back to grab the box containing the dead rodent.

“Thank you, Lionel,” Andi and I called out at the same time.

“Right, one rodent down, one vertical fuzzy bump coming up.”

I walked Andi to the wall and pushed her hard up against it, pulling her dress over her hips and rubbing my still very erect cock against the barrier of her panties.

“Decker?” she panted.

“Yeah, Country?” I breathed as I fumbled with my fly. When she went still, I pulled back and saw the mischief in her eyes.

“On the roof,” she purred in my ear.

“The roof?” I said a little shocked and intrigued. “I didn’t think voyeurism was your thing.”

“The sun’s going down. You finished the greenhouse, and I wanna christen it.”

I nodded. “Your wish is my command.” I placed her feet back on the ground, and as she stepped around me, I gave a quick smack to her ass. She yelped and laughed all at once.

“First one there gets to be on top,” Andi sang before gifting me a cheeky wink, running towards the stairs that led to the apartment, then up to the roof. I chased her, cause let’s face it, as much as I liked my cowgirl to ride me, I kinda liked to ride her too.

Yep, life with my little piece of country in the big ol’ city didn’t get much better than this. With my dick as hard as a fossilized wood, I chased her. I’d always chase her; she was so damn worth it.
