Frottage (Drawn Together Book 2) by Aly Hayden (17)

Phoenix

Phoenix woke with the distinct feeling that something was different than normal. Still half-asleep, he couldn’t quite place it. Lucy was in the bed, but that was nothing new. The covers were pulled around him, but he felt more confined than normal, and—

There was someone in his bed.

He cracked an eye open, then the other. Ace was still there. More specifically, he was still in Ace’s arms. The sun was just starting to peek through the blinds, so it had to be morning. Had they really stayed there all night?

Ace was still fast asleep, his chest rising and falling steadily. He looked so much softer with his eyes closed and his face relaxed. He looked beautiful. Most people wouldn’t use that word to describe him, opting instead for ‘handsome,’ or ‘attractive.’ But there was a certain beauty in how he looked.

His gaze moved up, to Ace’s hair. He’d thought about touching that hair more times than was probably normal, but there had never been an opportunity to. Besides, he didn’t even know if Ace would be okay with it. But after the way Ace had run his fingers through Phoenix’s hair the night before, he was fairly sure Ace wouldn’t mind.

Slowly, as not to wake him up, Phoenix slid his fingers through the silky auburn locks. It was softer than anything he’d ever felt before—softer even than Lucy’s fur. Ace had to put something in it to make it that way. No one’s hair felt like that. Certainly not his own, which could be incredibly coarse when he didn’t condition it. He ran his hand through Ace’s hair again, shivering lightly. His breath came quicker, and his body was starting to take notice of what he was doing.

Ace stirred and Phoenix froze, his hand still in his hair. He swallowed hard, unsure whether he had time to move his hand or not. He didn’t. A moment later, Ace blinked awake.

“Good morning,” he said with a bleary smile.

“I’m sorry.” The response was automatic.

“What for?”

“I’m touching your hair. I didn’t ask if I could.”

Ace shook his head. “It’s okay. It feels nice.” Rolling onto his side, Ace draped one arm over Phoenix’s hip. “Do you want to keep touching it?”

“Yes.”

“Then go right ahead.”

Ace’s voice was lower and thicker than normal, and it sent a shiver down Phoenix’s spine. He stroked Ace’s hair again, and Ace hummed in appreciation. The noise went straight to his cock.

“Maybe I should stop,” he whispered.

Ace frowned. “What? Why?”

“I um…I’m…” He let out a slow breath and gestured to the covers.

Instead of being upset or disgusted, like Phoenix had feared, Ace just smiled. “A few more minutes and I’d be in the same situation. It’s not a bad thing. In fact, I would hope if we’re dating there’s some sexual attraction there.”

“There is,” Phoenix said quickly. “Trust me.”

That drew a soft laugh from Ace. “Good.”

“I didn’t expect you to still be here when I woke up.”

“Really? Why not?”

Phoenix shrugged. “I just thought you would leave before now. You’d realize I’m not exactly the kind of person you can have a relationship with and you’d duck out.”

“I’m not going to do that!”

“I wouldn’t have blamed you if you had.”

It would have stung, that was for sure. Phoenix was used to being alone by now. In fact, most of the time, he was okay with it. But Ace had somehow wormed his way into Phoenix comfort zone, and the thought of him leaving—while understandable—left him feeling cold inside.

“Well, I’m not going to do it,” Ace said firmly. “I wanted to make sure you were okay, and I wanted to be with you.”

Phoenix let out a slow breath and nestled closer. Dear god, don’t let me be dreaming. It felt oddly nice to be held by Ace. Hugs had, for the most part, been good. But this went far beyond a hug. This was perfect. He shifted so they were face to face. With anyone else, it would be too close. But this wasn’t anyone else. It was Ace. Phoenix was finding out very quickly that Ace was the exception to almost every rule.

The last time they’d kissed, Ace had been the one to initiate it. Phoenix wondered if it would feel any differently the other way around. He leaned forward, cupping Ace’s cheek, and pressed their lips together. Every time Phoenix had thought of kissing him, he had imagined Ace’s lips would be firm and unyielding. But they were surprisingly soft, and parted underneath his. This was new territory, and Phoenix wasn’t entirely sure how to go from here. Fortunately, Ace seemed to understand.

Ace changed the angle slightly and deepened the kiss, his tongue stroking the inside of Phoenix’s mouth. It was a little intrusive, but a tingle ran through his body, taking his mind off of the feeling. He moaned, and Ace wrapped his arm tighter around Phoenix’s waist. His hips rolled forward, brushing against Ace’s, and the moan broke off. Ace was just as hard as he was.

When they broke off, Ace was panting. “We don’t have to go any further if you don’t want to,” he said.

Phoenix wasn’t sure. On the one hand, what they were doing so far felt amazing, and he wondered what it would feel like to do more. But there was still a part of him that wasn’t sure about this. Would Ace think less of him for doing this after a first date? Sure, they had slept in the same bed, but having sex was different. Some people cared about it more.

“It’s okay if you want to stop here,” Ace assured him. “But if you’re wondering, I want this.”

That changed things. If Ace wanted this, then he did, too. Only, he wasn’t sure exactly what Ace wanted.

“Just so we’re clear, when you say this, what do you mean? I don’t feel comfortable with anal sex, but oral or a hand job is fine.”

Ace’s eyes crinkled around the edges. “I’m fine with either of those, too. Which one sounds better?”

Phoenix didn’t know how well he would like the giving part of oral. He’d tasted his own spend a time or two and it hadn’t been horrible, but for the first time, a hand job was definitely safer.

“If it’s all the same to you, a hand job might be better.”

He was fairly sure Ace had never experienced this before—treating sex so formally—but Phoenix worked best with plans. As long as he knew what they were going to do, he would be fine. His cock had gone soft in the negotiation, but it didn’t matter. He still wanted this.

They were both still clothed, but that was easy enough to fix. Phoenix unbuttoned his plaid shirt, the one he’d been wearing on the date, and slid it off his shoulders. He made quick work of his undershirt, too. When he looked up again, his mouth went dry. Ace had tugged his t-shirt off, revealing a tanned barrel chest.

A dusting of hair trailed from his pecs down to his waistband, and Phoenix’s mouth watered. The hair on his chest was lighter than on his head, and Phoenix wondered whether his pubic hair matched. Pushing his jeans and underwear down was harder than porn made it look, given the sheets, but he managed fairly well, watching as Ace did the same. His curiosity got the better of him, and he threw the covers back. It matched the hair on his head after all.

Ace’s cock was red and hard and Phoenix felt as though he was going to have to play catch up. He took it in his hand, before remembering that the entire point of this was for the both of them to get off—not just him.

“Sorry. You just have a bit of a head start.”

“Then let’s fix that,” Ace purred.

He wrapped his fingers around Phoenix’s cock and stroked slowly but firmly, and Phoenix let out a broken gasp. He’d gotten himself off plenty of times, but none felt as fantastic as this. Ace seemed to know his body just as well as Phoenix did. He stroked up and down, his thumb brushing over the slit every now and again.

“Wait,” Phoenix breathed. “I want… want you to get off, too.”

Ace’s hand stilled, and he nodded. “Okay. Do you trust me?”

“Yes.”

It was true, too. Phoenix didn’t trust people very easily. It had taken him three months to open up to Joel, and his friendship with Ben had formed over the course of their senior year of high school. But it had only taken a matter of days for him to trust Ace.

“Lie on your back, then,” Ace said.

Phoenix did, and a moment later, Ace climbed on top of him. The feeling was the most delicious thing he had felt in his entire life. He’d dreamed and fantasized about how Ace’s weight would feel. Now he had his answer. He never wanted to move again.

“Is this okay”

Nodding quickly, Phoenix arched up to kiss him. “It’s perfect.”

Ace grinned, and he rolled their hips together. “I’m glad. Now let me make you feel good.”

He wrapped his hand around Phoenix’s cock again, but this time it was different. This time, Ace’s cock joined his. Slowly, Ace rolled his hips, thrusting into the tunnel he’d made with his fingers. The friction from Ace’s hand and cock made Phoenix groan.

“Feels really good,” he breathed.

“Oh trust me. It’s going to get better.”

He kissed down Phoenix’s neck, and Phoenix shivered involuntarily. It was a strange sensation, but not altogether unpleasant. But Ace didn’t stop moving. He kept kissing down Phoenix’s body. Phoenix realized what he was about to do just before he did it. His mouth closed over Phoenix’s nipple. The sensation went straight to his balls. Ace licked and sucked and nibbled around the sensitive bud. All the while, he kept moving, their cocks sliding together with each thrust.

Phoenix was reduced to a whimpering, babbling, incoherent mess. Normally, that would have bothered him, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. It felt too good. Ace clearly knew what he was doing, and for that, Phoenix was grateful. At least one of them could be useful.

A few minutes later, Ace switched to the other nipple. Phoenix gritted his teeth and slid his fingers through Ace’s hair, tugging slightly. The sensations were bordering on too much. Between the wet heat of Ace’s mouth on his chest, the hand around him, and Ace’s cock brushing against him, it was overwhelming. But he knew he wouldn’t last much longer.

He wrapped his legs around Ace’s thighs, determined to keep him as close as humanly possible. Ace’s breath was labored, and a light sheen of sweat had started to form on his skin. He looked perfect.

Ace pulled up and kissed Phoenix again. “Not going to last much longer,” he gasped.

“Me either.”

His toes curled, and he bit the inside of his mouth, but he couldn’t hold back any longer. He came hard, shooting spurt after spurt against his stomach and chest. Moments later, Ace followed, finding his release as Phoenix’s chest heaved.

His mind was racing, and he couldn’t translate any of those thoughts into words. So instead, he pressed a kiss to Ace’s cheek. Hopefully that would convey just how much he had enjoyed it. After a few seconds. Ace rolled onto his side, still facing Phoenix. He threaded their fingers together and brought them to his lips.

“Was that okay?” Ace asked softly.

Phoenix nodded, still not quite able to speak.

“You want to know what we just did?”

He licked his lips a few times, trying to formulate a coherent sentence. Finally, he gave up and just nodded again.

Ace smirked, as though they were about to share in a joke. “It’s called frottage.”

A giggle built inside of him until he couldn’t contain it any longer. He laughed, finally realizing why Ace had seemed so odd when he’d talked about frottage in an art sense. Ace laughed with him, and he reached over to twine their fingers together. They lay there together for a few more minutes before Phoenix realized something was missing.

“Where’s Lucy?” he asked, his voice scratchy.

“She slipped out before she saw anything traumatizing,” Ace assured him. “Around the time we started kissing. Will she be okay out there?”

“Yeah. She has a doggy door leading out to the yard.”

“Good.” Ace pulled him closer, so his head rested on Ace’s chest. “We can stay like this, then.”

Phoenix smiled. He could most certainly get used to waking up like this every morning.
