Healing Gabriella (Red Devils MC Book 8) by Michelle Woods (12)

Chapter Twelve

Gabriella moaned as she rolled over in bed, her hand going to her forehead. Her mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton wool and her head was pounding. She cracked open one eye letting out another loud groan of displeasure when she saw the bright light streaming in the widows. God, how much did she drink last night? Turning her head, she searched for Kyle, but he wasn’t in the bed next to her, making her already terrible morning worse. Had he told her he was going somewhere this morning? Or had she done something while she was drunk that he didn’t like? Shit, trying to wrack her brain for the events of last night made her head ache even more than it was already.

What the hell had Pearl put in those damned daiquiris last night? Sitting up slowly she couldn’t help whimpering as her eyes starting throbbing and her stomach roiled in protest. She was never drinking on girl’s night again. She’d been to several of them in the last year and she couldn’t remember ever getting so drunk that she felt this bad the next morning. She’d had a slight headache, but never this throbbing pain that made her want to curl up in a ball and just sleep for days. Hearing the door open she swung her head in that direction seeing Kyle walking into the room carrying a tray.

“Morning, firefly,” Kyle said as he moved towards the bed with the tray.

He was grinning and she wanted to hit him for being so damned happy when her head felt like someone was beating on it with a hammer. Gabriella flopped back onto the bed instantly regretting it when it made the drumming worse. Her hand flew to cover her head and she let out a loud groan.

“Aww, does your head hurt? I’m sorry you feel like shit, but I have just the thing to make you feel better. It’s Aunt Mae’s hangover helper. I promise it works wonders. Tastes like shit going down, but you won’t regret it five minutes later when you feel better.” He chuckled sitting down on the edge of the bed, placing the tray beside her. She peeked at him from under the arm she’d placed over her eyes. He lifted a glass of what looked like green goo. Um, no way was she drinking that. Kyle held it out to her expectantly.

“I don’t think so.” Gabriella said covering her eyes again.

“Firefly, I know you feel like crap, but I guarantee that this will help. You trust me, don’t you?” He asked again, making her squeeze her eyes shut as she debated whether she could trust him or not. Gabriella knew he was trying to make her feel better, but that stuff looked toxic.

“No thanks.”

“Come on, Gabi. I promise it will help.”

“Ugg, fine, but if I die from drinking that I’m coming back to kick you in the balls.” Gabriella sat up moaning as her head throbbed again. Kyle let out a laugh as he handed her the nasty looking drink. She stared at it for a long moment with her nose wrinkled and her stomach rolling. Then she tipped the cup to her lips and drank it. It tasted awful and she managed to get about half of it down before she was gagging and shoving it back at him. God, that shit was disgusting. Pretty Boy took the cup she shoved at him and chuckled a little as he handed her a glass of water to wash it down with.

Despite the taste, her stomach did feel a little better, so maybe he was right and it would help. She lay back against the headboard watching as he moved the tray he’d brought over her lap. It had eggs, grits, and bacon piled high on the plate. She glared up at him.

“I can’t eat this.”

“Firefly, it will help too. Hangover cure and grease for breakfast works every time. I know, I’ve been in your shoes more than once.” Kyle said, smiling at her before he leaned over and kissed her on the forehead and climbed off the bed. “Eat up.”

She watched as he headed into the bathroom for a shower, tossing a grin over his shoulder. Gabriella sighed before looking down at the food in her lap. She was kind of hungry so she picked up some bacon and began eating it. Her mind wandering back to the night before and what had happened. She remembered Pearl bringing out the third pitcher of daiquiris, but after that things got a little fuzzy. Trying to piece things together she remembered Tiny carrying Racheal out of, Dog and Terry’s house. That memory made her blush a little because she was pretty sure she’d been feeling Kyle up when that happened. Shit, had she really tried to strip him in the middle of her friends living room? She was almost positive she had.

Her cheeks heated and she stared over at the bathroom door hearing the shower cut on and Kyle whistling. If she had, he didn’t seem too bothered by it thankfully. Of course, that though had other thoughts flooding her brain. Images of her riding his lap and then—shit. Had she really let him lick her into an orgasm? Dear god. She was a little shocked that she hadn’t had some kind of freak out, but the more she thought about it the more it made sense. When she’d been with the Jackals she’d been forced to do things or they’d hurt her. Last night with Kyle she knew was safe and she’d been in control of what was happening between them.

Maybe that was the key to making their relationship work. The only question was could a man like him allow her to be in control during sex. He’d allowed it last night, but would that type of vanilla sex be enough for him? Or would he eventually leave her because she couldn’t handle rougher sex. She didn’t know, but as she ate the breakfast he’d brought her she realized it was too late to save her heart. It had been involved from the moment she’d walked into his arms over two years ago. She heard the shower shut off and her eyes were drawn to the door of the bathroom as it opened a few moments later. Kyle walked out wearing only a towel slung low over his manly hips.

He paused in the doorway watching her and she noticed that his cock stiffened as she watched him feeling a blush spread over her cheeks again, but she didn’t look away. Kyle let the towel drop and she gasped a little, but her eyes devoured the view. Her heart picked up as she let her eyes travel up from his cock to his hip where he’d marked himself with her name. Then up to his slightly damp abs and then further up to his hard pecs, her body heating as she got to his eyes which were filled with dark desire as he let her look. His lips were curled into a slightly smug little smile as he waited for her to meet his eyes.

Damn, the man was sexy as hell and for some reason he wanted to belong to her. She just couldn’t figure out why he wanted her. She was damaged goods in so many ways. It wasn’t that she felt like what the Jackals had done was something she deserved or something that tainted her. No, none of that was true, but it had created scars that might not ever heal. No one who went through abuse as severe as what she’d gone through would be able to walk away without being more than a little splintered inside. She wasn’t really sure what would happen from here but she knew that she was going to do everything in her power to make him happy.

Pretty Boy stood in the doorway of the bathroom watching the emotions playing on her face with a smug little smile. She wanted him as much as he wanted her. It wasn’t that he hadn’t known that would be the way it was between them, but he’d been worried she would try to push him away again after last night. He wasn’t sure if he could handle her doing that after he’d finally tasted her sweetness. It was hard enough before he’d had the pleasure of her withering in orgasm on his tongue. Now that he’d had that sweetness, he didn’t think he would handle it well if he were denied the pleasure.

Taking things slow was ok, but a complete stand still would make him insane. He let her look and get her fill as he stood there waiting on her burning gaze to meet his. He needed to know that she felt the same needs he did, even if she wasn’t acting on them. As long as he had her in his bed and the knowledge that she belonged to him as much as he belonged to her, he was good. It was funny how before he’d met her he hadn’t understood why any man would tie himself to a woman. After his childhood, he’d never really connected with anyone other than Log and his other brothers in the club, but even then it seemed like there was a barrier between his emotions and the people around him, but with Gabi that barrier wasn’t there. From the moment, he’d first looked into those grey-green eyes he’d known he was done for. She was it, and he would walk through hell for her and that hadn’t changed in the two years he’d waited on her to heal.

Her soft eyes were filled with desire as they finally met his and he felt something inside him shift as she watched him silently. It was time to start moving things forward. Not right now while she was feeling the effects of last night’s party, but later when she was feeling better he’d start taking things between them to the next level. He’d get his hands on her and see what she could handle because she was finally ready. Smiling, he winked at her before he walked over to the dresser pulling out a shirt and some jeans. He turned to face her making sure she was still watching him and grinned widely when he noticed she’d been staring at his ass. He loved the red flush that covered her neck as she realized she’d been caught ogling him again.

He waited a minute for her eyes to meet his and then he turned towards her, watching as her eyes fell to his cock and widened comically. Her lips parted and she turned redder than she was already. He loved her reaction and let out a little chuckle.

“Like what you see, firefly?” he teased.

“Umm—ga—I wasn’t looking,” she lied.

“Liar,” he snickered as he pulled on his jeans commando while she watched him with those wide eyes taking in his every movement. Pretty Boy felt ten feet tall knowing his woman liked watching him. He took extra time to allow her to look her fill and loved every second of it.
