Money Can't Buy Love: (A Sexy Billionaire Bad Boy Novel) by Ali Parker (65)

Chapter 59

Michael

For the entire car and plane ride, I couldn’t take my mind off Rainey’s little strip show in the car. At first, when I heard her clothes rip, I was reminded of every time we had sex. And my dick agreed with me. I was semi-hard for the entire trip. Even though Rainey changed out of her damaged skirt, which was unfortunate since I couldn’t stop imagining smacking her ass and taking her for myself, the way her blouse was undone was enough of a tease to keep me incredibly turned on.

I hoped the numerous movies and television shows programmed into the in-flight entertainment center would distract me, but I had no such luck. Rainey sat across from me, and while she read her novel, I could barely take my eyes off of her. She absently played with her hair and chewed on her lip when she read. After an hour into the flight, I had to get away from her. I went into the office area which was situated in another section of the plane so I wouldn’t be distracted. I checked my email but finished with all of my pressing deadlines within an hour.

The food was served, and I dreaded going back out there. How the hell was I going to get through this weekend if I kept thinking of Rainey like that? Did she have to be so damn sexy all the time?

Every surface around us had so many possibilities for Rainey and me. I could have taken her over the bar. She could have ridden me in the oversized leather chairs. I wasn’t new to the Mile High Club, but the one person I wanted to punch my card with had thrown up impenetrable walls. I knew if I wanted to, she would submit eventually. But past mistakes with her being pissed off at me after we’ve fucked came to the front of my mind. I wanted to show Rainey how her life would be if she were with me. There was no limit to what I would give her. She only had to say yes. I had to play my cards just right.

I was relieved when we landed. The heat from outside cleared my head from the pent up sexual frustration I’d experienced for the entire flight.

“I thought we could take the boat over,” Rainey said when we were on the tarmac.

“Sounds fun,” I said. At least we wouldn’t spend a lot more time in a small space together. I wasn’t sure how long I could control myself if we did.

The boat ride over to the island was less than an hour. Rainey had arranged for a private one, which had me feeling more than I should have. She knew me well already. I hated to travel with other people. The unpredictability of chatty travelers forced me to make all of my arrangements with limited interaction from people I didn’t know. I wondered if that would have been the way to go earlier today. My annoyance at some other person might have distracted me enough to keep my mind away from Rainey and how badly I wanted to fuck her.

I stood next to her at the bow of the boat while the captain remained at the stern. There wasn’t much in the way of obstacles to keep him back there. I could have driven the boat, but there were plenty of people to do it for me - people I was paying.

“This is beautiful,” Rainey said. She’d put her hair up, exposing her back and shoulders. My cock twitched at the sight of her. Beautiful.

I remembered holding her there while I screwed her from behind the other day. I had to look away from her.

“It is,” I said. “When was the last time you were on vacation?”

She scoffed. “My honeymoon. We went to Vegas, which didn’t really leave much time for relaxation. I’m looking forward to relaxing a little, you know?”

I nodded. We were here on business, but I wanted to experience the place as Natalia would. Sun bathing was definitely on the schedule. I wouldn’t be opposed to Rainey being topless either.

We stood there for the rest of the ride, both taking in the water in front of us. We spoke few words, mostly business, but I could tell Rainey was excited. She talked about the cabanas and their amenities. All the while I couldn’t stop staring at her lips and how I wanted to taste them again.

When we arrived, a car was waiting on the dock for us. It was a black sedan. I smirked. Rainey knew I liked to travel in style no matter where I was.

We drove for about thirty minutes until we arrived at the property. I liked the distance from the dock, giving the location more exclusivity from the others who came to the island. The resort was on the other side from the touristy part of the private island. There was two other hotels, but the island was big enough to share. And since thick forest separated the two, there wouldn’t be a need for anyone from that side of the island to wander to ours. Though I wanted to check out the rest of the place in addition to the private resort so I could give Natalia a full report. She liked her alone-time, but she also fed on interaction with others. If this was going to be her spot, a mix of privacy and fun was exactly what she’d want.

The driver pulled up a long driveway, and I peered through the window to see the resort.

The scenery changed immediately. The cobblestone driveway was smooth as the car drove over it without any bumps. The forest opened up to reveal the main house in the distance. Rainey was right. It was perfect. But even more so in person. I glanced toward the beach. White sand stretched out into the horizon, and the five cabanas popped up from the water like the heads of seals. They were a bit of a distance from the main house, which would be perfect for any of Natalia’s visitors.

The driver stopped in front of the house, and several uniformed workers came out through the front door.

“That’s the housekeeping staff,” Rainey said. “The agent for the family stocked the house for us with food and toiletries.”

I was impressed by her negotiation skills. I expected to have to fend for ourselves while we were there, but Rainey was trying to make this a true to life experience for the both of us.

The primary caretaker for the house introduced himself as Paulo.

I caught his name, but nothing else as he mostly spoke to Rainey regarding the logistics of our stay.

The main house had four massive support columns in the front and a wraparound porch on both levels. Looking through the open doorways of the lobby, on the other side of the house was an in-ground pool and several lounge chairs for anyone who preferred to stay on land. A long bar peeked out from the side of the pool, and that made me like the place even more. Drinks in the pool, who wouldn’t love that?

And I knew Natalia would.

Paulo led us through the lobby to tour the house. There were four bedrooms in total. Each suite took up a corner of the house, each with their own bathroom. Each had their own elegant theme. I wasn’t sure Natalia would necessarily like the themes, but she completely overhauled the rooms in the cabin when she arrived as well. She had a keen eye to see past what was in front of her. And having money helped as well.

When the tour was over, Paulo told us to let him know if we needed anything.

Rainey turned to me once he left. “What do you think?”

“It’s great,” I said.

“It’s so great,” she agreed.

It was the sexy and romantic place that Natalia was looking for.

“What room do you want?” she asked.

“I like the blue one,” I said.

“Of course you do,” she said with a smile.

“How about you?” I asked.

She hesitated, but only for a moment. I caught it though. Did she think we were going to sleep in the same room? I wouldn’t mind, but that would have been too forward.

“I’ll take the yellow one,” she said. It was the one right next to mine.

“For the views,” she said quickly. Those two rooms faced the ocean. The other side of the house faced the pool and the island in the background. Both were great, but if we were staying at a beach resort, we had to have beach views.

“I think I’m going to change before getting a bite to eat,” she said, lifting her bag from the ground where Paulo placed it. “What are you going to do?”

I didn’t want to spend a moment away from her. “I have reservations in place for dinner.”

“Okay,” she said, a little wary.

“Why? Did you have big plans?” I asked, unable to hide my disdain. If I had to play the boss for her to stick around with me, I would.

“I wanted to check out the shops in town. I think Tanner would like something authentic to here. Maybe go out onto the patio for some reading. But dinner sounds nice.”

“Good,” I said.

She sniffed then walked away. Once the door to her room closed behind her, I headed downstairs. I found Paulo in the kitchen with a woman, another worker.

“Mr. Carrington,” he said with a smile. “What can I prepare you for lunch?”

“Ask Rainey that when she comes down,” I said. I didn’t want her to know what I was doing. For all she knew, I was in my room. “I want to make reservations tonight for dinner in town. Can you make that happen?”

“Certainly,” Paulo said. “There are several options—”

“The most expensive option is fine,” I said, cutting him off.

“Absolutely,” he said. “Any particular time?”

“Seven,” I said.

“Very well, Sir.”

I nodded and turned away from him. Like hell was I going to allow Rainey to wander this place alone when she was supposed to be with me. And I’d be damned if she had time to read a book. She could finish her book on the plane ride home. This was my time.

I explored the first floor of the house, allowing my shoulders to relax, now feeling as if I were on vacation. The place was beautiful, I had to give that to Rainey.

When I made it back to the lobby, I stood in the open entrance to the house, staring out at the ocean beyond. I imagined Rainey standing in her bedroom too, sharing the same view. This trip was going to change everything for us. I had a feeling in the depths of my soul. I only had to get Rainey on board, and everything really would be perfect.
