My Omega's Baby: An Mpreg Romance (Bodyguards and Babies Book 1) by S.C. Wynne (12)

Chapter Twelve

Wyatt

Blade was up when I came into the kitchen the next morning. He looked pale and tired, with dark circles under his eyes as he leaned against the sink, sipping coffee. “Morning,” he said softly.

“Good morning.” I poured myself some java. “Did you sleep okay?”

“Not really.”

I glanced at him as I stirred cream into my coffee. “I’d have thought you would sleep better since my Russian friend was neutralized.”

“I’m still pregnant,” he grumbled.

“Oh. Well, yeah.” I grimaced. “How are you feeling?”

“Let’s see, I’ve puked five times already this morning, so I’m feeling fucking awesome, Wyatt.”

I bit my tongue because I realized he had every reason to be upset. “I’ve heard ginger helps morning sickness.”

He exhaled impatiently and dumped his coffee into the sink. “I don’t see how I’m going to be able to take three months of this.” He rested both hands on the counter and hung his head. “Jesus, women have to do this for nine months? I’ve been expecting two days and I’m ready to give up.”

“I know. I’m sorry.” I felt guilty that he was the one who had to handle all of the hard part of this pregnancy.

“This never-ending nausea is really starting to piss me off.”

“Don’t they make things for that?” It seemed in this day and age surely doctors must have figured out a cure for morning sickness?

“Trust me, I’ve researched until I’m cross-eyed, and apparently nothing in the world helps.” He exhaled roughly. “I feel horrible that I never really appreciated what women went through.”

I hated how miserable he looked. “You have today off, why don’t we go do something fun?”

He scowled. “Are you even listening? I don’t feel good. I feel like I have the flu.”

What was I thinking? Of course he didn’t want to go out. “Can I do anything to help?”

He glowered. “No.”

I cleared my throat, and I set my coffee down. “I was thinking… maybe I should stay here a while longer.”

He frowned. “Why?”

“Because what’s happening to you isn’t anything either of us is equipped to deal with.”

“Then how exactly does it help me to have you here?”

I laughed stiffly. “We can fumble along together.”

He narrowed his eyes. “You’d actually be willing to do that?”

I shrugged. “Why not?”

“Seriously?” He straightened. “You don’t like me. Remember?”

“I like you.”

He snorted. “It’s okay. You don’t have to lie.”

I laughed gruffly. “I feel differently about you now.” I glanced at him, feeling sort of embarrassed for showing vulnerability.

“Yeah?”

I nodded. “I mean, you saved my life.” I shrugged. “And even before yesterday, I’ve been having nicer thoughts about you lately.”

“Well, well.” He smirked, but then his smile faded. “I’m still not sure it’s a great idea for you to stay.”

I was shocked at how disappointed his answer made me. “Why not?”

He swallowed, looking a little queasy. “I doubt you’ve thought it through.” He grabbed a paper towel, wet it, and squeezed the excess water out. Then he pressed it to his face, slumping a little.

“You okay?” I moved closer.

Closing his eyes, he said, “Just give me a second.”

My stomach ached watching him. I wanted to hold him and comfort him, and the thought of that surprised me. “If I was here I could cook dinner and… you know… take care of… things.” I’d started to say “you,” but I knew him well enough to know he’d have rejected the idea he needed taking care of.

He licked his lips and faced me. “Wyatt, if you stay here when you’re not my client, people will think we’re gay. It’s not like either of us needs a roommate for financial reasons, so why would we live together?”

I moved closer still, unable to keep my distance. “They can think what they want.” I touched his arm, and he flinched. “Look, I’ve decided to face the fact that I’m apparently bisexual.”

“Just like that?”

He shrugged. “All I know is I liked fucking you, and I’m not going to lie about it.”

His nostrils flared and his pulse beat faster in his throat. “Can you just suddenly become bisexual?”

My laugh was tense. “I still like girls, but I really liked being with you too. Call it what you want.”

He swallowed. “I… I liked it too.”

I pressed closer and the heat of his body made me weak in the knees. “Then what’s the problem?”

“I’m a private person, and I’m not ready for all of my coworkers and friends to know my personal business. That’s all. I’m not sure I can handle the extra attention right now.”

I frowned. “Why would your coworkers have to know?”

He laughed uneasily. “They have a way of finding shit out.”

“They don’t have to know anything that we do behind closed doors,” I whispered. “It’s none of their business.” Hunger for him flared in my gut, and the little sigh he gave turned me on even more.

His full lips were too tempting, and I leaned in and kissed him softly. He returned the kiss, and when it ended he said, “Don’t worry, I brushed my teeth after puking.”

I smiled and kissed him again. He pressed into me, a small whimper escaping him. I pushed my tongue between his lips, and we kissed passionately for a few seconds, sharing warm breaths and rubbing against each other hungrily. But then he pushed me away and moved to the other side of the kitchen. My cock was painfully constricted in my underwear, and I watched him, feeling frustrated. “What’s wrong?”

“I have enough on my plate right now, Wyatt.” His voice shook and he looked scared. His eyes glittered and his lips were swollen from my kisses.

“Let me stay here.”

He blinked at me uncertainly.

“You can’t go through this alone. Who else do you have, Blade?” I took a step toward him, and he stiffened. “You need me.”

“I don’t need anyone.”

I sighed. “I don’t mean you’re weak. But you’re carrying my baby.” I stepped closer and I put my hand on his abdomen. I expected him to shove me away, but he didn’t. He allowed me to stroke his stomach softly. “I want to keep you and our baby safe. It’s impossible not to want that, Blade. I’m an alpha and I need to watch over you.”

I could see his lust buzzing in his eyes, and his robe tented from his erection. He wanted me every bit as much as I wanted him, but his fear seemed to overwhelm him. “I’m not sure.”

“Shhh.” I slipped my hand between the folds of his robe, and he gasped as my fingers touched his bare flesh. I pressed my palm to his stomach. “You have my baby in there.” I kissed the side of his neck, and he shivered and sighed. “Let me take care of you, omega.”

He rested his head against my shoulder. “You really want that?”

“Yes.”

“Just temporarily, right?”

“Sure.” I kissed a trail up his neck, along his jaw to the side of his mouth. “Whatever you say.” I slipped my hand from his stomach down to the soft hairs of his crotch.

He moaned as I touched the wet tip of his cock, and he melted against me. “What are you doing to me,” he whispered.

“Pleasing you.” I slipped to my knees and I opened his robe, exposing his erect cock. The tip glistened with precum, and I licked the head with a sigh of pleasure. His spunk was tangy and thick on my tongue, and I swallowed his cock with no warning.

“Oh, fuck.” His body shuddered.

I slipped my lips down, down, down his thick length, opening my throat so I could take him deep. He hissed and his hips began to move in a slow rocking motion, his fingers tangled in my hair. I wanted to satisfy him and give him pleasure. He needed me to take care of him, and I wanted him to understand that I could put him first.

He groaned as I sucked harder, working his thickness with my tongue. I was so turned on my cock pressed my zipper with a horrible ache. I wanted to be inside him more than anything in the world, but I knew he was too fragile right now. Sucking him off was perfect because all he had to do was stand back and enjoy himself.

His thrusts became quicker, and his fingers clutched my hair painfully. “Oh, fuck, oh, fuck,” he whimpered.

I pulled off him a little so I could use my hand and my mouth. I gripped the thick base of his cock, and I worked the sensitive head with my mouth relentlessly. Bobbing my head up and down, I was spurred on by his husky, desperate words of encouragement. I’d never been one to put the other guy first. My own pleasure was usually an important thing to me, but right now all I could think about was pleasing him.

My cock was so hard I knew if I even touched myself I’d come. So I ignored my own needs and just fixated on sucking my omega dry. My omega. The thought of that made me stutter my movements briefly, but then the idea filled me with renewed lust. Blade was mine. He was my omega, and he was carrying my offspring. I didn’t feel weird about him being a man anymore. My alpha wanted what it wanted, and that was Blade Carr.

His hips bucked faster now, his head thrown back and his mouth parted. “Wyatt,” he whispered. “Oh, fuck. Feels so good.”

I increased the suction, and he gasped and fucked my mouth harder still. His breaths were jagged and desperate as he pumped into my mouth. I couldn’t wait to taste him, and I knew he was close. I stroked his balls and sucked harder, and he gave two clumsy, hard thrusts and came.

A flood of hot cum bathed my throat, and I sucked harder still as he groaned and emptied his cock into my mouth. His movements slowed and he panted and stumbled slightly as if his legs had almost given out. When I was positive I’d swallowed every last drop, I let him slip from my mouth. Then I stood and kissed him, and he wound his arms around my waist.

We held each other for a few moments, and then he moved away and pulled his robe closed. I studied him in silence, waiting for him to tell me his decision.

“Was that you trying to influence me?” He had a half smile as he spoke.

“Did it work?”

He laughed. “Maybe.”

I lifted one shoulder. “Full disclosure: that was just me trying to give you some pleasure because I can see you’re suffering.”

He rubbed his stomach. “Yeah. This sucks.”

“If I’m here I can take care of all your needs.” I tried to sound coaxing. “And you know I’m a good cook. Sex and delicious food. What more can a pregnant omega ask for?”

“A magical cure to make me unpregnant?” He scowled.

“Well, that’s out of my skill set.”

His lips twitched. “Just hearing you admit you’re not perfect is a nice change.”

I hung my head. “I have no illusions I’m perfect, Blade. Far from it.” I glanced up under my brows. “But I want to take care of you.”

He remained quiet for a moment, and then he said, “Since when?”

I sighed. “Since that night.” I gestured to his stomach. “The night got you pregnant. I can’t stop thinking about protecting you and making you happy.”

“God, who are you?” He looked at me with his eyes wide.

My face warmed. “It’s instinct. I can’t help it.”

His gaze softened. “I guess I get it. I feel like I need that now, and I’m sure you know needing people isn’t my thing.” He twisted his lips as if deep in thought. “What exactly would happen? You’d stay here with me the next few months, and then we’d go to the compound in the mountains to… have the baby?” He looked like he was embarrassed as he finished speaking.

“Is that what you want?”

“I don’t know what I want.” He tensed his jaw, and then he continued. “But I know I can’t do this alone.”

Excitement filled my gut. “Really?”

He nodded hesitatingly. “Yes.”

I straightened and restrained myself from hugging him like I wanted to. “So then I’ll just stay.” I bit my lower lip to hold back my enthusiasm.

“What do we say to people?”

I cocked my head. “About?”

“Us.” His expression was shuttered. “People aren’t stupid. Maybe if you stayed here a week no one would notice. But two months? Someone’s going to notice.”

I shrugged. “What do you want to say to people?”

Confusion washed through his light gaze. “I guess that all depends on whether I want to be a part of this child’s life.”

“You mean you may want to?” He’d been so against that idea, I’d assumed me and my mom would be raising the child without him.

He narrowed his gaze. “Probably not. I don’t know. Maybe.”

I couldn’t help but laugh, he sounded so muddled. “We have three months to figure this out. Let’s not stress about it right now.”

He looked relieved and the tension left his face. “Yeah. We have plenty of time.”

I clapped my hands together. “Well, I have to go to headquarters to talk to Tork.” I hesitated. “Promise when I come home I won’t find my stuff out on the porch?”

He gave the first real smile I’d seen all morning. “I promise.” A mischievous gleam entered his eyes. “I mean, if I kicked you out, who would cook my dinner tonight?”

I grinned and went to go change.
