Chapter Five

Well?”

Mindy’s chipper voice crossed Meg’s eyes as she walked into the kitchen. “Coffee,” she muttered, hand out, expecting she appeared like a zombie needing steaming brain matter.

Mindy smirked and poured a mug full. “Well?” she repeated, handing it to Meg.

“Well, nothing.”

“Nothing?” she half-shrieked, hands flying to her hips. “I gave you the perfect opening!”

“Yeah, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so embarrassed in my life.” Meg lowered herself onto a bar stool, propped elbows allowing her to lean and cradle her coffee.

“Well?” Mindy demanded.

“I said no.”

“Are you freaking kidding me? I laid in my bed, wide awake, trying to read, imagining all sorts of yummy scenarios Kayla and I left you to, and you’re telling me nothing happened? You couldn’t have had a better opportunity!”

“What?” Kayla asked, shuffling into the kitchen behind Meg.

Closing her eyes, Meg sipped her black coffee. “Mindy’s on the warpath.”

“She said no.” Mindy clinked the coffee pot against a mug rim.

“Are you shitting me?” Kayla settled onto the stool beside her, and Meg peeled her eyelids open. “The perfect chance to knock off bucket list number one fantasy and you said no?” She accepted the coffee from Mindy’s outstretched hand. “What happened? Are you okay?”

“I’m not going to break them up.” Silence accompanied Meg’s next sip, and she glanced between her friends. They peered at her, Kayla’s eyebrow cocked, Mindy’s furrowed.

“This is different than that situation.” Kayla’s words barreled over Meg, stinging her eyes.

“It’s a fling, not an adulterous relationship,” Mindy said. “We’re leaving in four days. You’ll never see them again.”

Meg focused on her coffee and sipped, her foggy brain wanting to hide beneath a pillow for a few more hours.

“Both of our hot neighbors want you. Even a mole rat could see that.” Mindy’s frown deepened. “Hell, the sexual tension between all three of you could…well, could be cut with a knife.”

“So original,” Meg muttered into her mug.

“Bitch.”

Meg flipped Mindy the bird, a smirk playing on her lips.

“You’ve got four days to right your wrong,” Mindy said, turning to pour herself more coffee. “If you don’t make a move by our last night, I’ll…I’ll…”

“You’ll what?”

“I’ll hate you forever.”

“Yeah, okay.” Meg forced her butt off the stool and made for the hallway, Kayla’s mumbled “Leave her alone” reaching her ears.

* * *

Meg packed up her easel into its carrying case, grabbed her tripod stool, and strode out the back door. Kayla and Mindy sat on the dock in their bikinis, waiting for the sun to crest the trees and peek from the fluffy clouds lazing across the sky. Her gaze wandered to the neighboring dock. No boat. She breathed a sigh of relief.

“I’m heading out to the point,” Meg called to her friends.

Both glanced over their shoulders and smiled as though over the fact Meg hadn’t taken advantage of the opportunity they laid at her feet to fuck both of their neighbors at the same time. “Paint something colorful and full of life!” Kayla called back, giving Meg a thumbs up.

Meg picked her way along the shoreline, intruding into more than one squirrel’s habitat, and they screamed a chitter or two as if warning her away. The scent of decaying leaves from the fall before rose with each step, her Vans near silent on the soft layer of moss and pine needles.

Tiny waves lapped at the shore on her left, and a fish jumped close by, splashing and rippling the water. The peninsula came to a rocky point. Meg paused and scanned left to right, taking in the lake as it stretched away, bending out of sight on either side of her.

A handful of boats dotted the water, one towing a brave skier. One hugged the shoreline, and another nestled against a small island to her left, their occupants casting lines.

Trevor and Jack, she noted. Her gaze lingered on the distant pair, her body warming, the heat settling in her cheeks and between her thighs.

She tore her gaze off of them and turned to the right. A log cabin nestled in the trees on the opposite shore, blooming lilac bushes on either side of its farmer’s porch bathed in the rising sun.

Finding a flat area to set up her easel proved more difficult than Meg anticipated, and she ended up a few yards away from someone’s lawn. A good study of the plot, and Meg decided nobody was home.

Fifteen minutes later, she perched on her stool, palette in hand, and gaze on the picturesque setting across the water. A small smile lifted her lips, and she dipped her two-inch brush into the paint and set to work capturing the beauty of New Hampshire.

The world and its cares passed from Meg’s mind as her view transformed onto her canvas in shades of blues and greens with every swish of her brushes. Sunshine reached high overhead, and Meg’s stomach growled. Rather than pack up and head back to the cabin for lunch, Meg pulled out a chocolate coconut protein bar from her bag and nibbled, allowing the sounds of nature to once more reach her conscious.

She breathed deep, enjoying the buzz of passing boats and twittering birds. Somewhere behind her, a squirrel scampered through the leaves, his claws rasping against a nearby tree as he flitted up the bark to the treetop above.

Footfalls reached her ears—two pairs, but she didn’t turn, expecting her friends had come looking for her for lunch. The hairs on her body rose as goosebumps prickled her skin.

Them.

Still, Meg didn’t turn toward her left, but put the last bite of her protein bar in her mouth and slowly crinkled the wrapper as they came into her periphery in the woods.

“Are we disturbing you?” Jack asked as they drew nearer, his low voice bringing to mind the sounds of his groans as Trevor had taken him the night before.

A fresh rush of moisture coated her panties. “No,” she managed, her voice sounding more breathless and needy than she had hoped for.

The two men stopped walking, and Meg’s body hummed even though they stood a good twenty or so feet away. “How did you know where I was?”

“Mindy told us,” Trevor said.

Of course she did.

“Ever since last night

“Don’t.” Meg’s clipped word cut Jack off, and she finally turned to fully face them. Heat and nameless other emotion shone in both sets of eyes, Trevor’s blue and Jack’s hazel-green. “Please.” She softened her tone. “I’d rather not discuss it. I’m sorry for watching what I had no business seeing.”

“We’re not,” Trevor said, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Why do you think we left the light on? The sight of you standing in the window on full display turned us both on.”

“But, it felt like a piece was missing,” Jack said. “If we begged, got on our knees, would you agree to one night with us?”

“Just one,” Trevor echoed, his tone and eyes pleading.

On their knees

Meg imagined both worshiping her, tongues lapping at her arousal, roaming fingers searching out her secrets. Her thighs pressed together as though on their own. “I can’t,” she whispered.

“Why not?”

Meg inhaled until it hurt, gazing into eyes the color of the bright sky. Perhaps spilling her family secrets would finally get them to stop their pursuit of what couldn’t be. Her breath left in a rush, and she slumped on her stool.

“My dad talked my mom into having their best friend join them one night, and it led to an ongoing affair. Lines got crossed, and my father eventually decided he loved David more than my mom. He told her to leave, and David moved in with him not long after.”

Jack shook his head.

“That’s not the worst part,” Meg said. “Mom became an addict and killed a young couple along with herself when she crashed her car three months ago.” Her words concerning her mother’s death came out matter of fact and emotionless for the first time since the accident. No tears stung her eyes. No thickness ached her throat.

Trevor’s lips pursed, a memory of grief flitting in his eyes, and Meg’s emotions once more felt as though they tangled with his in understanding and solace.

Her father and his new husband David—even if Meg still hadn’t accepted the man into her own life—had been by her side and ignored by the other side of her family, judgmental, religious idiots, while burying her mother. Every single one of them, grandparents who had chosen to ignore their own daughter’s prescription drug addiction, included.

Having a step-dad had proven tough for Meg with her mother’s family not-so-quietly whispered gossiping about the two men’s sinful affair. She still struggled even though she wanted nothing but happiness for her father.

Now that her mother was gone, she expected the thin thread tying her to that side of her family had snapped. Any effort to reach out to them had gone unanswered. Dismissed, and without doubt, written off since she chose to eat at a sinner’s table.

“I’m so sorry,” Jack said, bringing her back to the present. The compassion in his voice and on his face brought on the stinging eyes Meg usually experienced when speaking of her loss.

“Thank you,” she said.

“Your mother…” Trevor began, “did she want David, too, or did she only agree to please your father?”

“She said she’d never wanted David in that way.” A frown flitted over Meg’s brow. “She was insecure and always wanting to please everyone, though. She just wanted to make Daddy happy.”

“Jack and I both want you. More than you could possibly imagine.”

Meg’s heart fluttered in her chest, and she bit on the inside of her lip, her gaze passing between the two men.

“It’s true,” Jack said, running a hand through his hair. “Neither of us can sleep, and we can’t seem to scratch the itch of you beneath our skin no matter how much we try.”

Meg’s imagination ran off, images flashing through her mind of the two men fucking. Face to face. Jack bent over the kitchen table, Trevor on his knees, their tongues tangling, trying to scratch that itch

She cleared her throat and shifted on her stool.

“I can hear your mind working.” Trevor’s sexy smirk sent another rush of moisture to her already soaked panties as her face heated.

“What are you thinking about?” Jack asked, his gaze glued to her face as he walked a few steps closer.

“The two of you. Together.” Why could they pull the truth from her so easily?

“You liked watching us.” Trevor didn’t voice the words like a question.

“Yes,” Meg whispered anyway.

“You came when we did, didn’t you?”

Meg nodded as Trevor moved alongside his lover, her gaze flitting to Jack and the growing bulge in his shorts. She licked her lips.

“Do you want to watch us right now?”

Meg’s attention jerked back to Trevor’s face. “Wh-what?”

Trevor reached over and ran his hand along Jack’s erection. “Would you like it if I got on my knees and sucked his cock down my throat?”

“H-holy…” Meg swallowed, her gaze riveted on Trevor’s hand as he squeezed. A low moan rose from Jack.

She would leave a wet mark on the stool for sure.

Trevor didn’t wait for an answer, but sank to his knees, his hand on Jack’s hip turning his lover, offering Meg a better view. Not close enough to touch, but near enough she was tempted to lean forward and try.

Her gaze flitted out over the lake, but no boats floated nearby. Although the three of them were just inside the woods, if anyone sped past, they would surely get an eyeful.

Jack moaned again, and Meg jerked her head back around. Trevor had freed Jack’s cock and ran his hand down the long, hard length while gazing up at him. She licked her lips again, and Trevor leaned forward, taking Jack into his mouth.

Drool flooded Meg’s mouth.

“Fuck.” Jack’s hands grasped Trevor’s head as he moved up and down, saliva glistening at the base of his cock.

Meg dug her fingernails into her palms to keep from snaking a hand beneath her leggings as Trevor continued to work Jack over. She squirmed on the stool, unable to look away. They were beautiful together, moaning and groaning their enjoyment. They were life, and God help her, she wanted to be a part of what they shared.

Trevor fondled Jack’s balls. “God, yes. Just. Like. That.” Jack thrust into Trevor’s mouth with each word. “I’m going to come.” He pushed at Trevor’s head, but Trevor growled and held him close, his cheeks hollowing while taking him deep.

“Fuck.” Jack slammed into Trevor’s mouth over and over, each grunt pulsing Meg’s pussy. She glanced up to find Jack staring at her, pupils dominating his eyes, his full lips parted.

One low moan, and he held Trevor’s head tight against him, spasms rippling his body and tilting his head back once more. A few more slow thrusts, and he stilled.

Trevor backed off, licking his lips and lifting his gaze to Jack before flitting over to Meg. “Are you wet?”

God, that sexy voice… “Yes,” Meg heard herself answer.

“Touch yourself,” Trevor said, angling to face her while Jack tucked himself back into his shorts.

She shook her head, but uncurled her hands and reached inside her leggings.

“Slide your fingers into your pussy and show us how much we turn you on,” Trevor said.

Unable to deny the command, Meg did as told, her arousal coating her fingers for them to see.

“God, what I wouldn’t give to taste you right now,” Jack said, Trevor groaning his agreement, his own hand running over the long ridge in his shorts.

“Come with me,” Trevor said, pushing his shorts down enough to free his thick, curved-upward cock.

She’d never seen or done anything so kinky in her life, but Meg imagined him sliding deep into her ass, and she slipped her hand back inside of her panties, spreading her legs open for better access.

Jack knelt beside Trevor, kissing his neck while reaching around to grab Trevor’s balls.

Trevor grunted, smearing the beaded pre-cum down over his length. “Reach deep inside your pussy and imagine it’s my cock inside of you.”

She gasped for air while doing as he said, and reached her other hand beneath the straining waistband to rub over her clit.

“That’s right,” Jack said, settling his gaze between her thighs as he squeezed Trevor’s balls.

Trevor groaned, fisting his length faster, veins popping along his forearm. “Fuck your fingers, Meg.”

She bit her lip to keep quiet, too gone to care about the sight the three of them would make to a passing boat.

“Let go,” Jack said, wrapping his hand around Trevor’s. “We need to hear you.”

Tingles came to life in her toes, radiating up through her legs to her belly. “I’m going to come.”

Trevor groaned, his hand jerking beneath Jack’s. “Yes.”

Her climax swept over her, and Meg gasped, fighting to keep her gaze on Trevor as shudders rippled through her body. “Oh, God. Oh, God!” A deep moan rose from her chest, and a jet of cum shot from Trevor’s cock landing inches from her stool.

“Fuck, Meg,” Trevor growled the words while milking himself.

She imagined him shooting his cum deep inside of her, and another wave rolled over her. Her groan drew another from both men.

Meg heaved for breath and stilled, surprised the stool hadn’t folded beneath her trembling body. Reality settled back over her, and ears buzzing, she glanced around. A boat approached. She yanked her hands out of her leggings.

“Let us taste you.”

Her gaze flew back to Jack as he moved forward on his knees, careful to avoid Trevor’s cum between them.

Jack’s warm hand closed around her wrist as Trevor moved beside him, and she didn’t fight as he lifted her hand to his mouth. “God you smell so damn good,” Jack said, breathing her in. He ran his tongue up along her middle finger and settled down over, sucking it clean.

“Mmm,” he moaned and backed off, offering her hand to Trevor.

Trevor’s lips closed over her index finger, tongue gliding along its length.

A shiver slid down over Meg, pebbling her nipples to points.

“So good,” Trevor groaned. “Fuck, Meg.”

“Give us one night,” Jack said. “Please.”

She peered into his eyes, temptation swirling through her body. Just one night. She wouldn’t see them again, anyway, right? No harm in one little fling. Checked off number one bucket list desire

Trevor kissed her palm. “Please.”

“I want to…”

“Then say yes.”

Meg bit the inside of her lip.

“Say yes,” Jack echoed Trevor’s command.

They were beautiful together, a stroke of artistic genius in a world sorely lacking.

She wouldn’t be the one to ruin a picture of perfection. “I’m sorry. I can’t.” She stood, her legs shaking, and moved to the other side of her easel. Her hands trembled as she struggled to pack her paints away.

From the corner of her eye, she watched the two men stand. She expected them to be angry with her for refusing them, but rather than stride away, Jack picked up her stool and folded it while Trevor reached for the canvas.

Meg lifted her gaze to his face as he studied the unfinished painting.

A smile curved his lips. “Your muse is coming back to life,” he murmured, meeting her gaze.

She melted a little at the warmth in his eyes. Because of you two, she wanted to admit, but bit her tongue instead.
