Trystan

IT’S BEEN A few weeks since my confession to Camryn, which resulted in one of the best nights of my life. Having her back in my arms, my bed, and my home was better than the countless dreams I have had over the years. Her walls have come tumbling down, brick by brick. We both decided to take things somewhat slow with our relationship. That may seem silly to some people, but a lot has changed in the years she has been gone. We both wanted to make sure we did this the right way. Navigating a relationship in your thirties is much different than dating in high school and college. We are the same people in many ways, but age and life experiences will change you. Getting to know this version of Cam has been a breath of fresh air.

Sadly, with me trying to wrap up this case, and being a single dad, it has left very little alone time for her and me. We have made up for it with daily texts, long phone calls at night, and a few dates snuck in here and there. To say she has been patient is an understatement. Cam made it perfectly clear she understands Caleb is my priority, and she and I would figure it all out as we go along. She is also very encouraging when it comes to my work. This case touched us both personally. After Michael Johnson gave away some of the biggest names of those distributing Rohypnol, we have been taking down name after name. They are all scrambling, and therefore turning on each other. It has made the process much easier for all of us, but very time-consuming nonetheless. It is starting to wind down now, which hopefully means more family time, and most definitely, more time with my Sunshine.

It’s been a long time since I took more than a few days of vacation, so my boss was ecstatic to give me two weeks off, now that most of the hard work has been done regarding this case. I just dropped Caleb off at at his coach’s house, where he will head to baseball camp for a week. He begged to go and it’s an experience of a lifetime where he will get to work with college and former professional players. Jackson suggested it to him, and he has done nothing but talk about it for weeks. With him gone for a week, my plan is to steal Camryn away for a surprise trip. And when Caleb returns home, he and I will have a week together doing some fishing and hitting up a few MLB games. Hunter has been so helpful at conspiring with me regarding this trip. Everything is booked and paid for. He assured me if I showed up at their place, he would have her bags packed and her passport ready to go. His approval and support of our relationship means a great deal to me, because I know how much of a pivotal role he plays in her life. My bags are packed, and I am just waiting for the car service to come grab me, before we make our way to get my girl.

Pulling out my phone, I shoot off a quick text.

Trystan – Hey, Sunshine…I am headed over to your place in a few. Just wanted to make sure you were ready.

Camryn –Ready for what? You wouldn’t happen to know why my gusband is acting strange? He’s acting sneaky.

Laughter falls from my lips. Of course Hunter couldn’t be subtle. And I have come to terms with the fact that Hunter is her gay husband and always will be. Sharing her with him is something I know I have to do to keep them both happy.

Trystan – No clue what’s going on with him. Just make sure you’re ready. See you in a few.

Camryn – Again I ask the question, ready for what?

Trystan – Ready for me.

Camryn – Pretty sure we have established I am always ready for you.

Trystan – Sassy thing. We will definitely be testing that theory again and again. See you in a few. I am getting on the road now.

As if on cue, the car service pulls up to my house. With my bags stowed in the trunk, I climb in the back seat and head to get my girl. Five nights of uninterrupted time with her is just what I need. Time to continue getting reacquainted with each other in a tropical paradise sounds perfect to me. Getting lost in her morning, noon, and night is most definitely on the agenda. I am hoping the time away helps her also. She has mentioned feeling lost in regards to what to do with her time. After caring for Gigi, she has no interest in going back to nursing full time. But she wants to do something with her time and money.

We make our way up Cam’s driveway, and she is sitting on her front porch in a swing. Her eyes are focused on her phone in her hands so it takes a few moments before she glances up. Her face scrunches up in confusion when she sees the sleek black car pulling up. Hopping out of the car, a smile appears on her face when she sees me. She makes her way to me, wearing a simple black and white striped maxi dress that hugs every curve she has. My mouth waters at the sight.

Wrapping my arms around her, I take in her scent. “God, I have missed you. You ready to go, Sunshine?”

“Missed me? It has only been a few days.” Her tone is sarcastic. “Where are we going anyway? Where is your truck?”

“So many questions. It’s a surprise. So patience is required.”

She huffs like she is annoyed, but the smile on her face says otherwise. “Patience? You know I don’t have patience. Give me a hint.”

As if on cue, Hunter opens the door, with a suitcase in hand.

“Hey, T. All packed and ready to go.”

“Hunter, where are you going? And why do you have my luggage?” she probes.

“Sunshine, that is your suitcase, and you are all packed. Courtesy of Hunter.”

Stumped, she stutters over her words, “What do you…wait…I am confused…Who is going where?”

I can’t help but laugh at her loss of words. “I am taking you away for a few days. Hunter was kind enough to pack you a bag and get all your necessities together. Speaking of that, do you have her passport?”

He fishes it out of his back pocket and hands it over to me. “This was a bitch to find. You should really put it in a more convenient place, Buttercup,” he scolds her jokingly.

Putting her hands up defensively she retorts, “Hello! I am right here. Where are we going and why do I need a passport?”

Silencing her, I place a finger over her lips in a shushing manner. “Less questions, more moving. We have a timeline we need to meet. Our flight leaves in a few hours, and the airport can be a bitch to get through on the weekend.”

Hunter grabs her in a hug and whispers something in her ear I can’t quite make out. He looks up and offers me a smile and wink. “You two kids have fun. Let me know when you make it to your destination. And, Cam, try to relax and trust Trystan. You look stressed and that will give you premature wrinkles.”

She swats his chest. “Fuck off. Wrinkles. I don’t have wrinkles. I am not sure how I feel about you two conspiring against me. Kiss me, Hun.” She offers him her cheek and he obliges the request. “Love you! I will call you when I get wherever it is we are going.”

After loading her luggage in the car, we made relatively good time to the airport. Cam was fairly quiet for the ride, which surprised me. I thought for sure she would be firing questions off at me the whole way to the airport. I chose to let her have some time with her thoughts.

“Well, since we are here and will need to check in, do you want a little hint on where we are going?”

“Oh, now you want to tell me. You know I hate flying. Did Hunter fill you in on that little detail? The whole car ride here, I was trying not to think about meeting my demise in a horrific plane crash.” The worry in her tone is evident.

“Sunshine, it is safer to fly in a plane than it is to walk on the street, drive a car, or eat sushi. You catch my drift. Hunter did mention your fear, and he also packed some Xanax in your carry-on to help you through it.” Placing a kiss on her forehead, I grab her hand and pull her toward the check-in.

“You picked a beautiful day to fly to Aruba. The skies are clear and you should have a smooth flight,” Antonio, the guy behind the counter, exclaims. “You are all set. Gate nine is where you depart from. Enjoy your trip.”

“Aruba! We are going to Aruba, Trystan?” Cam squeals in excitement. Hunter may have filled me in that Aruba was a top destination for her. Honestly, I wanted this time away to be memorable for her. The last several months have been rough for her, and the time away should do her some good. My motives may not stop there, however. Having her at my disposal for several days, no interruptions, with unfettered access to her luscious body, may have played a role in my decisions to steal her away.

“Yes, Sunshine. Aruba. You heard Antonio correctly. We have a beachfront condo, right on Eagle Beach. It supposed to be the best in Aruba. So prepare to relax, drink, eat, and have plenty of time one-on-one with me. You think you can handle that, darlin’?”

The smile on her face is huge. Her big sunglasses are perched on her nose, blocking my view of her beautiful honey-colored eyes. But I am sure if I could see them, they would bright and shining with happiness.

“One-on-one time, huh? And what exactly do you plan to do with that, Detective?” Her mouth twists into a knowing smirk.

“Wouldn’t you like all the details, Sunshine? I don’t blame you for wanting them.” I grin as if reading her thoughts. “Trust me when I tell you this, you will get details of my plans for you throughout the flight. When we arrive, you will be panting and starving for me,” I growl softly in her ear.

Her cheeks flush and her breathing turns heavy. I can see each lungful with slight movement of her perfect chest. After a few moments of silence, she pulls my head down and meets my lips with a blistering kiss. Her lips soft and supple, her tongue teasing and playful. She stops abruptly and finally replies, “Two can play at the game, stud. You started it, and I intend to finish it. Game on.”

My lips curl into a smile full of amusement. “Well, this plane trip just got a lot more interesting.” My intentions are to have her wet and panting with need and desperation. I want her to be so ready for me by the time we land, that she is breathless and begging me to take her. “Game on is right, Sunshine. Let’s head to our gate, shall we?”

The plane ride goes much how I expect it to after the gauntlet is thrown down by both us. Teasing is an understatement. My dick has been rock-hard for the better part of five hours. We have a quick hour plane ride from Savannah to Atlanta. Then from Atlanta to Aruba direct results in four additional hours of torture. More than confident, I am not the only one suffering, I watch Cam squirm in her seat as we make our descent. Her face and chest are flushed red. Her eyes look hungry and full of need. One thing our little game of tease and tell does is to keep Cam’s mind off the flight itself. She barely seems to register we are in the air. Her focus is on torturing me. My girl has turned into quite the dirty little thing. The words that come out of her mouth, in whispered tones, would bring the strongest of men to their knees. Little does she know the payback I have in store for her.
