My Best Friend's Brother by Candy Gray (130)

Chapter 2

Sam

"Thanks for meeting me for lunch," my mother says, picking up her mimosa. Some of the orange juice and champagne sprinkle onto the white tablecloth.

"Yeah. I'm glad I am able to grab some time with you, mom." She smiles and takes a sip. I stare at mine. It’s the eve of her wedding to her second husband, Stanley Gold. I have only met him once. They have been traveling around for most of their relationship. He owns an international company across Europe and my mom goes with him everywhere. I am happy for her. They met as soon as I graduated college and I got a job out of state as an editor for a fashion catalog. So after five years of dating, they finally are getting married.

"Stanley is so excited to have you here," she says again placing her hand on my arm. I smile and stare at the mimosa. "And I just want you to know that it might feel strange or weird about having a stepfather but I promise that he is wonderful."

"Mom, I'm really happy for you two!" I reassure her.

"I know, but I just know we haven't been as close as we normally are these past few years, and I worry about you. "

"I'm doing great; you don't have to worry about me."

She raises her eyebrows and stares at me.

"Well, and I feel guilty that we never discussed your break up with Micah. I mean, I was so busy with my own thing, I guess it’s been a long time?"

"Mom!" I slam my hand on the table. I didn't mean to go that extreme, but I am very annoyed. "Micah and I are done forever now. That is the last time we will ever get back together. So, stop stressing about that on your wedding." I lean back in my chair and take a second to compose myself. Micah and I got back together right after college, but the relationship was rough and draining. I finally caught it off.

"Okay...okay...but you know Stanley's son will be here and he has a lot of friends who will be attending the wedding."

"Mom," I drag her name out and put my head in my hands. "Enough."

"I want this to be fun for you."

"I know," I smile. I need to be nicer. She is just doing what mothers her age do when their twenty-seven-year-old daughter is single and nowhere near signs of commitment. She is also swimming in pre-wedding glory and her belief in romance is renewed. "I don't need a guy to have fun. I will have an amazing time here as long as you do. This is your day, not mine. I am the last thing you should worry about."

"I love you, Sammy, but I am your mother. I only worry about you," she sighs, clasping my hands hard in hers. I squeeze her hand back.

"I love you too, mom."

We make our way out of the small restaurant and head toward the resort the wedding will be held at tomorrow. It's a small venue in the north, by a clear lake and forest, providing a very romantic and natural feeling. Tonight, we will have the rehearsal wedding and dinner. This is nothing too big. Their second time around, both my mom and Stanley wanted to have something small and intimate. So here we are. It is a quick walk back to the resort hotel, but when we walk in I see nothing but swarms of distant family members.

"How many did you guys invite?"

She looks at me and shrugs.

"Maybe too many? But now it will be more like a party."

"Let's meet back down here at six, alright?" she asks me. I nod. She knows I want to avoid conversation with most of these people. I make my way up the grand winding stairs in the new cabin themed resort and into my room. I pull out the dress I packed to wear tonight and set it on the bed. My eyes stare at it for a long time. Perhaps it is too formal. But then I remember my mom talking about Stanley and his wealthy business. I think back to everything we talked about over lunch, and how lonely I am. She shouldn't worry about that stuff. Suddenly, a feeling to have Jordan with me creeps up out of my stomach. We hardly kept in touch over the last few years since our lives were so busy, but she would know what to wear and how to flirt with my new step brother's friends. That's right, my stepbrother. I find it hilarious I don't even know his name. I walk over to the shower and turn the water on. I wonder what he is like and if he likes my mother. I'm sure he does; she is wonderful. Does he have handsome friends?

The idea of a bunch of men downstairs turns me on slightly. I could have my pick. I need a little fun after the whole Micah incident. It's just like that one night in college. I can barely remember it, but I know that I went to Micah that night, and that's how we started talking again. But fuck him. I tilt my head back. I deserve a man, not some weak little I couldn't outgrow. But a real man who knows how to please a woman. My hand slides down my leg. Maybe one of these men can come stay with me tonight, help me forget. My fingers find my clit. One of them could fuck me all night long, driving their long, hard shaft into me. He could hold me down and reclaim my body. Micah was the last one to have me. Fuck - I want someone to grab my hips and fuck me from behind, making me scream into the pillow while I cum on their shaft. I need that. I need a hungry mouth to sit on top of and lick every inch of my slit, till his mouth is wet and my cunt is dripping.
