Going All In by Tory Baker (4)

Cash

“Mia, Darlin’. We gotta get up and moving if you’re going to get to work today.”

I speak low into her hair, not really wanting to get up. I’m wishing she could just stay in my arms for the rest of the day, while we lay in the sun and talk.

And I do mean talk.

I don’t really talk much, but if it means hearing Mia’s voice then, fuck… I’d do it. For Mia, I think I’d do just about anything. Even though I just met her, there is something between us. It’s deep inside of me. It’s the way her face lights up when she looks at the land surrounding us, and in the way she likes us to constantly touch. Whether it’s her holding my hand or me holding her side, or just a touch of my finger drawing her hair behind her ear so I can gaze into her eyes… I can tell she loves it and she doesn’t try to hide the fact that she does.

“But, I don’t really want to move. I know I need to, especially since I just started at the bed and breakfast. It’s just so pretty outside and I love being here with you. It just feels…good.”

She’s almost talking too fast for me to hear it all. I see her face is red all the way down to her chest—and by God, she still hasn’t done up her shirt. That blush goes all the way down to her luscious tits. I want them all over again. I want them in my face as she’s riding me, my dick in between them, and I want to watch them bouncing while I fuck her hard.

“I know Darlin’, but we’ll come back. Having you in my arms first thing this morning is now one of my favorite memories. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring us.”

I turn to her and brush the back of my hand along her nipples, not wanting to say goodbye to them, but knowing I have to. I close her bra and then put her top back the way it’s supposed to be.

Reluctantly.

I do it knowing I can’t wait until the next time, and hoping I’ll get her completely naked so I can see all of her gorgeous body then.

Once she’s back to rights, I slowly get up and reach my hand down to help her up. Her gaze goes to my face, then she’s on her toes, touching her mouth to mine, and giving me a kiss. It’s a simple kiss, nothing heavy, but it’s a kiss I know I’ll remember for the rest of my life. The sweet words she gives me next will always be in my memory too.

“Thank you for last night and this morning. I guess I should be embarrassed because it happened so fast, but you… You made me feel alive for the first time in a long time. I just feel safe with you.”

Her words nearly knock me to my knees. I don’t know what happened in her past, all I know is that I want to hold her, to protect her from the storm that she’s had to withstand on her own.

“Come here Darlin,” I mumble, as I grab her by the waist and pull her in to hug her—sensing that she just needs to be held. I hate to pull away, but I won’t be the one to keep her away from her new job.

“How about I make a promise that we’ll come back here—back to my house soon. That way you can see more of the land and the animals.”

“I’d really love that, Cash.” Her voice is husky as she speaks.

“Sounds good. I guess I should get you back to your car.”

“Uh… my car is at home,” she murmurs.

“How did you get to the bar last night?” I ask.

“I walked. My car is kind of broke down at the moment. So, I’ve been walking around town if I have places I need to go, just until I can get it taken care of.”

She’s looking at her feet again, while talking to me. I lift her chin up, so I can see into those soulful eyes that seem to drag out every male instinct I have.

“I’ll take you back to the bed and breakfast, then I’ll take a look at your car and see what’s going on,” I demand.

“No, Cash. You don’t have to do that. Honestly, I’m working and saving up some money and then I’ll get it fixed,” she says frantically.

“Mia, there’s no point in arguing with me about this.”

“Cash—”

“I am not going to worry about you getting hurt or attacked while walking everywhere. It’s not going to happen. If you won’t let me fix your vehicle, then I’ll just be driving you everywhere. While I would love that, I do have a lot of work here on the farm. So, I’m going to fix your car. That way if you want to drive to my place, drive to work, or just drive to get groceries, you can. Then, I won’t have to worry.”

This upsets her, but I’m not about to back down. I can see from her face that she wants to say no, but it won’t do her any good. I cross my arms at my chest and wait for her to work that truth out for herself.

“Can I at least give you the money I have saved up, so it doesn’t cost quite so much?”

Her wheels are turning and she’s grasping at straws, because there is no way I’d ever take a penny of her money.

“Abso-fucking-lutely not!” I growl, not really raising my voice, but it’s harsh enough that she backs up and keeps backing up—until she hits the truck. Once I see my error, I walk to her and do my best to soften my voice. “Mia, Darlin’, I’m not yelling at you, but there is no damn way I’m taking your money. I don’t know what kind of boys you’ve had in your past, but I’m a man and a man does not let his woman pay for shit. That’s who I am, Baby. I will not take your money for anything. I’m not built that way, it’s just not in me,” I respond, holding the back of her neck, so she can see the truth in my eyes.

“Alright, Cash. Can I at least make you dinner at your house as a thank you? I mean, as long as that’s alright with you. My place is kind of small.”

She’s looking into my eyes now, and I like what I see.

“Sure Darlin’, now let’s get loaded up and head back into town.”

“Thanks, Cash.”
