Big Dad D: A Bad Boy Standalone Romance by Vanessa Kinney (37)

Rose

Best date of my life. Those are the only words that are going through my head. I can’t remember laughing this much. It’s been too long since I’ve felt so relaxed.

The three of us get into the elevator. Blake and Max push their bodies against me. Each fighting for my attention.

We took a walk through Central Park after the Firehouse Grill. Blake and Max argued about which one of them got to hold my hand. It got so heated that a couple heads turned at the entrance to the park. I got them to quiet them down by offering a hand to each of them.

The simplest solution is the best solution.

The dinging of the elevator fills the small space. Both the men breathing hard next to me, stealing glances my way. I pinch myself just to remind myself that this isn’t a dream.

A couple weeks ago, I couldn’t even get a date. Now, two hunky men are fighting for my attention. Each one wanting time alone with me.

There’s a mixture of feelings coursing through me. Both Blake and Max are amazing. Each better than any guy that I’ve ever been with. Each with their own unique qualities.

Blake is sarcastic, funny, and a tease.

Max is down to earth, punctual, and quite serious at times.

Both of them are ripped with muscles from inch to inch. A common trait for firefighters, from what they’ve told me.

I’m suddenly aware of everything around me. The dinging of the elevator as it whizzes past each floor. Blake and Max pressing against me, their body heat warming me up. My mouth is open a little and throat parched.

The elevator dings one more time and the doors open to our floor. I’m the first to walk outside, both of them nipping at my heels. I can feel their gaze on my body. Taking me in and wanting more.

I want more. It’s been too long since I’ve had the touch of a man. There’s just one problem.

I don’t know which one to choose. Both of them are great in their own regard. Both of them make my knees weak and head woozy.  Both of them get me more wet than a cold shower.

The keys jingle in my hand as I turn the lock. Max is behind me while Blake leans against the doorframe.

I open the door a crack, half stepping inside. I can’t decide. Choosing between the two of them is impossible.

“Thanks for the date,” I say to Max. His blue eyes light up and he smiles.

“Don’t worry about it.” He shrugs his shoulder and takes my hand. His touch lights a fire inside my stomach. I hold my breath as our fingers interlock and my mouth gets parched. “I’ll see you back at the apartment, Blake.” He takes a step forward, but Blake grabs his shoulder.

“Not so fast, Speedy.” Blake pulls Max away and takes my hand into his. “I’ve enjoyed this night with you.” He brings a hand to my cheeks and I give into his touch, my head falling into his palm.

I open my eyes to see the two of them staring me down. My head swivels left to right. Left to right. I bite down on my lip. I don’t know what the hell to do.

Blake is the first to make the move. His head moves toward mine. My mouth opens wide as his lips crash against mine. He moves his tongue along my lips, letting me taste him for the first time. My knees grow heavy and I’m about to fall when Max pushes him to the side and pushes his hand into the crook of my back.

He presses me against his chest and I let out a breath. Through half opened eyes, I watch as lips slam against mine. His touch is more subtle and tame than Blake’s. When he pulls away, I can feel the heat face coming to my face in full force.

“I…I don’t—“ I mutter.

“Sleep tight,” Max whispers and shoots me a smirk. Almost as if he knows that I won’t be able to get a wink of sleep tonight. Both of them walk to the end of the hallway and shut the door to the apartment.

I lean against the apartment door and almost fall onto the floor. Forgetting that I’d opened it. I rush inside dying of embarrassment. I hope to god that they didn’t see me.

I slam the door shut and lean against it, slowly sliding to the floor. I put my head between my legs and want to scream. There’s a constant throbbing between my legs. My panties are completely soaked.

At this rate, I have a better chance of dying than getting laid.

“Why are you calling me?” Alex’s voice breaks through the silence in the apartment. I weave through a couple rows of unpacked boxes. Something that’s still on my to-do list.

“Thanks for being an awesome friend,” I mutter back and pour myself a drink. A little wine to take off the edge from tonight. And a helpful dose of Alex, to make me feel better.

“Well, I figured you would call in the morning. After Max helped you break in your new bedroom.”

“Oh shut up. This date wasn’t anything like that,” I lie. I wish that one of them had come in. I could tell that they wanted to. And I would have been more than willing.

“Was your date that bad?” Alex asks. She always assumes the worst in me. Might have to do with the fact that I haven’t gotten laid in over a year. Something that she never fails to remind me. Not like I needed the remainder. The constant throbbing between my legs is enough of a reminder.

“No, it wasn’t that bad.”

“So, it was bad,” she quips.

“No. That’s not what I mean,” I shoot back. “There was nothing wrong with the date. Everything went well. And they teased me at the entrance of my apartment.”

“They. Hold up. What do you mean by they?” Alex yells into the phone. “You know I don’t like being kept out of the loop. I’m coming over.” I can almost hear her rushing to her walk-in closet and putting on her shoes.

“There’s no need for that.” I end up talking to the ring tone at the end of the line. I walk over to the sink and grab another glass. This is going to be a late night.

It doesn’t take longer than 30 minutes for Alex to show up.  Another 30 minutes and three glasses of wine for each of us for me to get done telling her everything.

“I wish I were in your shoes,” Alex says, downing the last drop from her glass. She wipes her mouth and lies back on the couch, her eyes half open.

“What do you mean?”

Her head whips up and her hands dig into the couch. “Two hot firefighters fighting for my attention. That’s every girl’s dream.”

I shake my head. “Your dream. Not mine.”

“Oh please, if both of them were here and willing to take you into the other room, you wouldn’t be saying those words.”

I think about her words for a second, rubbing my legs together. There would be no way that I could turn them down. The thought of having both of them at the same time would be too much for me to handle. I don’t even know how any of that would work.

“I would have to turn them down,” I lie.

Alex rolls her eyes and laughs. “You and I both know that’s a bold-faced lie. And I doubt they would let you say no that easily from the sound of it.” She grabs the bottle of wine from the table and holds it over her glass. A couple drops drip down and she shakes it before setting it down hard on the table. “I require more wine,” she demands.

“If I were to be okay with the idea. And I’m not saying that I am. I don’t know what I would do with both of them.” I grab another bottle from the back. It doesn’t look like either of us are going into work tomorrow. Not that it matters for Alex. She works for her father and calling in sick is common for her.

“You wouldn’t have to do anything,” she says. “I’ve never been spit roasted before, but I can’t imagine it would be very hard. One would take you from the front and the other from behind.”

“Oh my god, Alex, I can’t believe you just said that.” I shake my head and close my eyes, doing my best to fight the dirty thoughts streaming into my head. I look at my bed. The thought of having both those men on that tiny bed is too much to handle. I rub my thighs together and turn my body to the side.

Alex shrugs her shoulders. “This might be your chance to show me up for once. Experience something I’ve never done before. I hate to say it, but I’m so jealous of you right now.”

“Well, I better go ahead and do it then. This might be my only chance,” I answer with thick sarcasm.

“That’s the spirit,” Alex mumbles and falls onto the couch, her eyes closing. “Once in a life time opportunity.” The glass of wine in her hand tips to the side and I lunge over and take it out of her hand.

I clean up and bring a blanket for Alex. She snuggles against it and I’m almost back into my room when I hear her cough. “Do it for me,” she mumbles under her breath, and she falls back asleep.

I laugh under my breath and shut the door behind me.

The heat between my legs is more intense than ever before. There’s no way that I’ll get a wink of sleep.

Not with Max and Blake on my mind.
