When I saw K4T enter the cabin on the ship, I thought that I was going to faint. I could not go be his prisoner again. I hated him. I hated myself for being tricked by him. I hated myself for letting him touch me. At the time I did not know; I thought he was my friend. But it turned out that he was deceiving me the entire time and had me prisoner without me knowing it.
So when they took us off the ship, I thought it was the end. I thought I would never see Jion ever again. I would never have any sort of freedom ever again. “Here, I think this is food and water,” I said pointing to a cabinet that I opened.

“The reason we are going to Xeion is to plead to the king. I will plead my case. I will tell him all that happened. I will tell him that his son forbade me to go find you, but I did it anyway. It will be up to him to let us stay on Xeion and to let us stay together, or exile us, or possibly even take you from me,” he said.
My eyes grew wide. “If that is the case, then why go there at all? We can go anywhere.”
“Because I am an ambassador. I do have some pull in decisions, though not as much as the king. I have always been in good standing with the king. I believe that he will be angry, but the chances are good that he will side with me. The most important thing to the king is that we mate with a human female. I think he will think of it in those terms. I have to try. I love my home and cannot abandon it without trying. You would be happy there, and you would be safe.”
“Yes, I understand loving your home and wanting to be there. I love Earth. But I don't understand. You mean that the captain is the king's son? He is a prince?”
“Yes, he is one of the king’s sons. He has several. So defying the captain was actually defying a member of the royal family. It is not good. But I do think that once the king hears everything, he will make a just decision. I believe in it.”
“I don't understand why the Kynon have such a fascination with mating with human females. It is just sex,” I said.
“No, it is more than that. There is something that I have not told you. The females on my planet are dying. They have acquired some sort of plague. We don't know what is going on. But it has gotten to the point where the race could become extinct if we do not do something about that. So we searched far and wide across galaxies for females that would be compatible with us. That is how we found the human females. We need you to save our race,” he said.
