Losing It (Ringside Romance Book 4) by Christine d'Abo (21)

One Month Later

Justin rolled across the bed, enjoying the stretch of his muscles as he twisted and turned. King had joined him on the bed at some point, and was currently curled up beside him, snoring. Justin gave him a gentle scratch behind the ear and a few moments later, King wriggled onto his back, looking for a belly rub.

“Silly dog.” Justin made sure to pay special attention to the tiny arm pits, rubbing them until King’s tongue emerged from the side of his mouth. “Where’s Finn? Go find Finn.”

King twisted and bolted from the bed, leaving Justin alone to flop back onto the pillow.

The last couple of nights had been far longer than he was used to. The contractors had put the finishing touches on the apartment, and he was ready to unveil the end result to Zack today. It had been a long haul, with more than a few unexpected pitfalls, but everything had turned out better than Justin had hoped. He’d had a real estate agent in yesterday to give him an idea on what they could list each unit at if they were all up to the standard set by their model. If they even got remotely what he’d been quoted, Zack would make back his money and then some in no time.

The smell of frying bacon filled the bedroom air. Finn had gotten into this habit of cooking enormous breakfasts whenever Justin stayed over. It was comforting in a way he’d grown far too accustomed to.

Pulling his discarded T-shirt on, he adjusted his twisted boxers before heading out to the kitchen. “Good morning.”

“Shit.” Finn pouted as he flipped a pancake. “I was hoping to give you breakfast in bed.”

“Blame the bacon. It called to me.” Sneaking around the island, he took a piece of the troublesome pork to shove into his mouth, but dropped it instead. “Hot!”

King snatched it before Justin could grab it, and ran over to his bed to enjoy his prize.

Finn chuckled. “That’ll teach you.”

Since the day of the fight, Justin had spent most of his time with Finn than without. He’d given up trying to remember to bring his overnight bag a few weeks ago, and had taken the radical step of buying some toiletries and hiding them in a corner of Finn’s bathroom. It hadn’t felt strange at all, using the toothbrush here more than the one back at his apartment.

Finn set a plate in front of him and turned to put coffee in the mug Justin had claimed for his own. “So, today’s the big reveal?”

“It is. I’m fairly confident Zack is going to be impressed with the end result.” He took a sip of his coffee and moaned. “I’m happy to be able to see this through to the end before I start my new job. Nothing worse than having two bosses with competing agendas.”

Justin was anxious to start his new position as a project manager for the contracting company who’d worked on the condo. He’d never have guessed that renovating old buildings would be such an enjoyable prospect.

Finn gave his hand a squeeze. “Zack will love it.”

“I know he will. He’ll probably also end up kicking me out because I have no doubt that there will be so much interest, he’ll need the space.”

Finn nodded as his face flushed.

Justin had been around long enough to know when Finn’s brain was working overtime. “What?”

Finn shrugged. “Would that be such a bad thing?”

“Well, it would mean I’d need to find a new place to live, so there’s that.”

Finn turned around and started wiping down the stove. “You wouldn’t really have to look that hard.”

Justin set the mug down and stared at the back of Finn’s head. He’d grown to love that head, and everything else that was attached to it. He hadn’t thought he’d ever have the opportunity to have this sort of open and honest relationship—not to mention being able to have incredibly hot sex whenever he wanted. They were still working on the whole communication thing, which was why he wasn’t sure what Finn was getting at. “What do you mean?”

Finn spun around and took a deep breath. “I mean you’ve been over here with me almost every night for nearly a month, which is awesome. But it sucks the nights you go back and stay at your place, and I know, yes, you have reasons for that, but I still miss waking up next to you. And King whines when you’re not around now, which is super annoying. And like you said, Zack will probably want to sell the place anyway, so why don’t you just move in here with me?”

Justin leaned back against the counter. “Pardon?”

Finn dropped the cloth in the sink and stepped against Justin, kissing him hard for a moment. “Move in with me. Please.”

The last missing piece from his life slipped silently into place as he relaxed. “Of course I will.”

“Thank God.” Finn wrapped his arms around Justin and kissed him again.

As things seemed to go between them, they temporarily forgot about the food and made their way back to the bedroom. It took little effort for Finn to strip Justin of what clothing he had on, and stretch him out on the bed. The warmth of Finn’s mouth swallowed down Justin’s cock, drawing a sigh from him. It felt natural to run his fingers through Finn’s hair, touching the man who’d become so precious to him in such a short time.

Justin widened his legs and let Finn press two fingers into his ass. He was still stretched and a bit tender from their lovemaking last night, but Finn always knew when he needed to be gentle, to go slow. Justin let the excitement, the pleasure wash over him. “God, I can’t wait to do this every day. Be with you.”

Finn moaned around Justin’s cock, sending ripples of pleasure through him. He licked up the side of Justin’s shaft before getting to his knees. “I want you in me.”

A full-body shiver raced through Justin. “Lie back.”

With their positions now reversed, Justin took the chance to place kisses on every inch of Finn’s skin he could reach. He spent extra time teasing Finn’s nipples, loving the sound of his laugher as Finn tried to squirm away. Laughter in bed with a man he loved. How did he get this lucky?

It only took him a minute to stretch Finn with his fingers and use enough lube that there wouldn’t be discomfort. They then stretched out together, Justin pressing into him from behind. Hooking his arm around Finn’s body, Justin closed his eyes, rested his head on Finn’s shoulder, and slowly began to make love to the man who’d stolen his heart.

Finn bucked his hips in a counter thrust that pushed Justin nearly all the way in. Finn then reached down and began to fist his cock, stroking it in near-perfect harmony. “Feels so good.”

“I love you.” Justin said the words against Finn’s skin, licking and nipping the spot beneath his mouth. “I love you and I’m never going to let you go.”

Finn craned his head around, and they kissed sloppily. The warmth spread through Justin, his body keyed to every move Finn made. It wouldn’t be long now before they both climaxed. Holding Finn as close as he could manage, Justin kissed up the side of his neck and then sucked on his earlobe. “I want to feel you come.”

Nodding, Finn started to increase his strokes, his body shaking and twitching. Justin slid his hand down Finn’s side, until his fingers brushed Finn’s pubic hair. Finn moaned and his eyes shut. “So close.”

Justin moved his hand again, this time holding Finn’s hip to make sure their thrusts stayed in sync. He, too, closed his eyes and let his senses guide him to the place he most wanted to be. Finn’s body squeezed around his cock, and Justin’s balls tightened. “Me too.”

Sweat covered them both, and the sound of their damp bodies slapping together filled the room. Finn turned his face into the pillow as his muscles twitched uncontrollably. In the next moment he shouted, and Justin pounded into him as hard as he could, given the angle. Only when Finn finally settled, did Justin let himself go. His orgasm filled him with pleasure that even he couldn’t adequately describe. Over and over, he thrust into Finn, until the pleasure began to taper off, leaving him a contented sweaty mess.

It was a few minutes later when his softening cock slipped from Finn and forced him to get up and head to the bathroom. He cleaned himself up, before getting a warm cloth for Finn. When he came back to the bedroom, he couldn’t help but smile at the sight of the handsome man lying there waiting for him. “For you.”

Finn took the cloth and gave himself a quick wipe, before tossing it in the direction of his hamper. “Come here.”

Justin didn’t need to be told twice. Climbing onto the bed so their positions were reversed from moments ago, Justin cuddled in. “So, this will be a thing that we do every day?”

“Yup.”

“Did I ever tell you how cute I thought you were on the night of the speed dating?”

Finn shook his head.

“I did. You’d crashed and burned so often, but you didn’t give up. Then you told me about Leo in the kitchenette and rambled on to the point where I wasn’t sure if you’d taken a breath. I couldn’t believe that you were the same man who’d barely been able to say two words to the men upstairs.”

Finn pressed his nose to the side of Justin’s neck. “I guess I only needed the right man to give me the type of inspiration to motivate me. You helped me find my voice.”

“And you helped me find my purpose.”

“I did?” Finn pulled back to better look down at him. “What’s your purpose?”

Justin cupped Finn’s face. “To love you.”

Justin had finally found the place he’d always meant to be.
