What He Hides: Desires Book 3 by E.M. Denning (2)

Chapter Two

Xavier

The last thing Xavier expected to see were a pair of bondage cuffs strapped to Everett’s wrists as if they were fucking decoration and not a screaming statement that he was a submissive. His greatest fantasy had come to life.

Seven years ago, Everett came to stay with them. Xavier showered twice a day for privacy to rub one out and keep his dick under control around Everett. Everett didn’t even see him, not like that. Xavier hadn’t been too upset about it. He understood it would be weird for Everett, being eight years older than him, if Xavier’s crush came to light. So he kept it close to his chest. He especially didn’t tell Andrew.

Then, Everett left, but the browser history on their computer hadn’t been cleared and he left behind some interesting websites. At the tender age of fourteen, Xavier discovered the kinky world of BDSM. Xavier then spent the next seven years exploring himself. He definitely wasn’t a sub. His brain didn’t work that way. He thought his crush on Everett was dead and buried because there was no way since Everett wasn’t a Dom. Xavier had come to terms a long time ago with the fact that none of his fantasies involving Everett would ever come true.

Then Everett opened the door and Xavier saw the leather cuffs and all his dreams and fantasies came flooding back. He had to find out if Everett was a submissive. Normally he didn’t use his Dom voice, but he needed Everett like he needed air. He had to know if he could affect him.

He commanded Everett to let him shoot a guest spot and when Everett agreed immediately, Xavier’s dick thickened. His heart slammed into his ribcage and he managed not to let on how excited he was.

“Oh, fuck no.” Andrew said.

Xavier snapped his head to the side and glared at Andrew. “I’m pretty sure you don’t get a say in what Everett does with his vlog. If he’s willing to have a guest on, that’s his business.”

“There’s no way he’s okay with this, Xavier.” Andrew shot an indecipherable look at Everett.

Everett shrugged. He rolled his shoulders and slumped a little and Xavier hated that Andrew cut him down so easily and made him feel small.

“It’s his channel, Andrew, butt out.” To ease the tension in the room, Xavier turned on the charm. He wore his cheesiest smile and dramatically waved his hand in front of his body. “Don’t you think his fans deserve to see this?” Xavier batted his eyelashes at Andrew, who rolled his eyes and didn’t hide the expression of disgust on his face. Xavier glanced down at Everett, desperate to read his reaction.

“It’s not a terrible idea, Drew.” Everett flinched at the choking sound Andrew made. “I’m so close to getting sponsors. There’s interest, but it’s not enough. This might help.”

Xavier’s heart lodged in his throat. He’d only wanted to see if Everett was a submissive because of the sexy bondage cuffs he wore. But now that he understood he could help Everett, he wouldn’t let Andrew screw it up by being a prude.

“Then it’s settled. We are going to shoot a Crock Cock episode together.” Xavier loved the way Everett glanced down when he broke out his Dom voice. God, he’d be an amazing submissive.

A sick dread punched Xavier in the stomach. Unless Everett wore cuffs because he already had a Dom. Had Xavier inadvertently stepped on some unknown Dom’s toes by using his listen to me closely little sub voice on Everett?

“So, Everett, you single?” Andrew shot Xavier a quizzical glance, and he shrugged. “I thought, you know, if he’s a single gay man, he might be able to tell me all the good places to hang out where I might meet other guys.”

“Did you seriously ask my best friend to take you out cruising?”

Not really. “Yeah. Why not? I don’t know anyone here besides the two of you and I’m not going cruising with my brother.” Not that he wanted to go cruising with Everett. He wanted to cruise Everett, pin him against the wall and kiss him until his knees turned to jelly. He wanted to strip the clothes off his body and see what he had hidden underneath them. He wanted Everett naked and on his knees.

“I don’t go out much.”

“See. He doesn’t go out much. It’s true, too. You practically have to get a crowbar to pry this hermit out of his house.”

Everett shoved Andrew. “Shut up. I’m not that bad.”

Andrew choked on his drink and miraculously managed not to spray it everywhere.

“Okay. I am a little bad. But yeah, we can go out one night.”

Andrew’s eyebrows all but disappeared into his hairline. “Did I hear you right?”

Xavier watched with barely contained glee when Everett reached over and slugged Andrew on the upper arm. “Don’t be a dick. Do you know how much it sucks to move somewhere and not know anyone? Right, you don’t, because when you moved here you already knew me and I dragged your ass around town to a million straight bars. Hell, I was your wing man until you decided that it wasn’t fair for your gay best friend to get all the attention.”

“Awe, man, I wish I could’ve seen that.”

Andrew shot him a look. “Fat chance, little bro. You were like…”

“Thirteen, genius.” Xavier took a sip of his wine. “Twenty-one minus eight is thirteen.”

“Whatever. Anyway. When are we going out?”

Xavier almost choked on his wine. “Nuh-uh. No way. You are not coming out with Ev and me.”

“He’s my best friend.” Andrew whined like a petulant five-year-old.

“Dude, Ev will show me all the places to go pick up dudes. You are not coming with me. Nothing screams please don’t fuck me louder than bringing my so straight big brother along. It would be different if you could dance, but all you do is stand there and scowl at everyone.”

Andrew looked at Everett. “Dude. Help me out here.”

Everett shrugged a shoulder. “Sorry, Drew. You don’t dig the whole gay bar scene, remember.” Everett frowned. “And yeah, it’s a major boner killer having your big brother looming around scowling at every guy who gets within thirty feet of you.”

Andrew crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back. Everett reached over and ruffled Andrew’s hair.

“It’s okay, Drew, I’ll look after him. I’ll make sure I show him which clubs have condoms in the bathrooms.”

Andrew wrinkled his nose. “Can you not talk about my brother and condoms in the same sentence?”

Xavier stabbed a finger toward Andrew. “And that attitude is the reason why you’re not invited. You’ll spend the whole night pretending you’re my big brother.”

“That’s because I am, genius.” Andrew rolled his eyes.

“Yeah, in age only. Face it, dude. You’re too much older than me to have been a big brother to me for real.”

Andrew frowned, and Everett glanced at Xavier with an unreadable expression.

“Excuse me?”

Xavier plastered on a grin. “I’m fucking with you.” He took another drink of his wine. He hadn’t been kidding. By the time Xavier could’ve used a big brother, Andrew had been eighteen and away at college. He was only home during the holidays after that. The years in high school when he needed a big brother, he didn’t have one. Andrew wasn’t there to help him when he came home battered and bruised. But it didn’t matter anymore. Xavier wasn’t that person. He hadn’t been that person since the winter Everett stayed with them.

Discovering BDSM put Xavier in control. Sure, at first, he was only a stupid kid with a stupid dream, but he used those years wisely. He learned everything he could about being a Dom. By the time he was old enough to sneak into kink clubs, Xavier was a far different person than the little punk who got picked on at school.

“When’s our big night, Ev?” Xavier watched Everett through his dark rimmed glasses. A night out on the town with Everett was a dream come true.

“Tomorrow is Saturday. You free?”

“Let me check my calendar. Between having no friends here and not working yet, I’m pretty booked.”

Everett’s pink lips curved into a sweet smile. “Tomorrow it is. You want to meet here and go together? Might be better until you learn your way around the city.”

“Sure. Sounds great.” The idea of a night of drinking and dancing with Everett thrilled Xavier. Life couldn’t get any better.

His excitement still hadn’t waned by the time Andrew dragged him out of there hours later.

When they got home, Andrew dropped onto the couch and turned on the TV. Xavier sat in the armchair next to the couch where Andrew lay stretched out.

“Dude, you okay? You’re not seriously pissed about Everett taking me out and showing me all the best places, are you?”

“Why should I be pissed?” Andrew shot him a dark look. “It’s not as if my best friend uninvited me from going out with him and my brother or anything.”

Xavier rolled his eyes. “Dude. He’s taking me to a gay bar. You know, a place where dudes and chicks go to meet other dudes and other chicks. You’re going to hate all the attention I get. You’re going to hate all the attention you get and you’re not going to get any attention from the gender you’re interested in because hello, you don’t have the right parts, Romeo.”

“I get that.”

“And yet you still want to go? You seriously can’t care that much about my well being, dude. I’m twenty-one. I’ve been in places way more debauched than a gay bar.” Andrew raised an eyebrow, but Xavier cut him off. “No, you don’t want to know. So, if it’s not me you’re worried about, that leaves Ev. You jealous or something?”

“My best friend is ditching me for my little brother so they can go thirst after dick together.”

Xavier giggled. “And you somehow want us to include you in that?”

“I guess I am being stupid.” Andrew sighed. “It’s weird. I can never get him to go out, but you show up and he’s all, hey, let me show you around.”

Xavier shifted and draped his legs over the arm of the recliner. “It’s because he’s a nice guy, Drew. And besides, you don’t want to go to the places he wants to go to, so why should he always have to be the one to take one for the team?” Xavier shoved himself up out of the chair. “I need a shower.” Xavier took a few steps, then turned back. “Maybe if you treated your friendship like a two-way street rather than an accessory you can haul out of the closet when you want to wear it, Everett might go out with you more often.”

Andrew flipped him off and Xavier shook his head. He didn’t blame Everett for not going out bar hopping with Andrew more often. Andrew didn’t mean to be selfish, but he was easily the most oblivious person on the planet. He didn’t mean to be a jackass, he simply wasn’t self aware enough to realize how big of a jackass he could be.

By the time the next night rolled around, Andrew was still in a sour mood, but Xavier didn’t care. He’d spent too much time dreaming about a night out with Everett to let Andrew’s mood bring him down.

Xavier stood in the bathroom making some final adjustments to his hair when Andrew appeared in the doorway. Xavier spoke without looking at him. “Can I help you?”

“Are you sure you don’t want me to come?”

Xavier glanced at Andrew. “The quickest way to not get laid is to bring my six-foot-tall, two hundred and thirty pounds, muscled-like-a-bear brother so he can scowl at any dude who gets within thirty feet of me. Yes, I’m sure.” Xavier decided his hair wasn’t going to get any more perfect and turned to face Andrew. “Tell you what, the three of us will go out next weekend. I’ll make Everett come with us.”

Andrew scoffed. “No one makes Everett do anything.”

Xavier’s mind flashed to a vision of Everett in his leather cuffs. “You’d be surprised.” He grinned at Andrew as he checked his pockets for his keys and his wallet. “Don’t wait up.” Xavier said as he squeaked past Andrew. Being small had some advantages. He was only slightly taller than Everett and was just as slim. They would look so hot together. He couldn’t wait.
