What He Hides: Desires Book 3 by E.M. Denning (3)

Chapter Three

Everett

Everett felt stupid for putting so much effort into looking good when he wasn’t even looking to get laid. Maybe next time him and Xavier went out he’d look for a hook-up, but it wouldn’t be fair to take Xavier out to show him around the scene, then bail on him. That made it particularly hard for Everett to decide what to wear. He’d chosen his black skinny jeans with the ripped legs and a pair of black Converse, but he couldn’t decide on what shirt to wear or how to do his hair. The top was sort of long and it was shaved on the sides so he could slick it back or brush it to the side. Or maybe mousse the hell out of it. It all seemed like too much effort for a night where he was guaranteed to go home alone.

Tonight, wasn’t only about Xavier though. A few days before Everett received an interesting request from a Dom. The words from Puck1730 were burned into Everett’s brain.

Boy,

I want you to come. I want to watch you pant for it. I want your lust to tear you apart. I want to hear how badly you need it. I want you to beg for it before you come, but I’m not going to make it easy for you. You can’t use any dildos or vibrators, and nothing may enter your ass. You may use whatever else you need to get off. But there’s a final condition.

You only get to touch yourself once. One stroke. That’s all you’re allowed.

You will send me the video on Wednesday.

Signed,

Your Master

Even thinking about the task had Everett’s cock thickening. It had easily been the hottest thing to hit his inbox in ages. Everett half wished he might meet a Dom like this in real life. Someone who knew what they wanted. Puck1730 sure did know what he wanted. One stroke. Fuck. It was going to be so good.

Everett had planned to go out tonight anyway, inviting Xavier to come along had been a spur-of-the-moment decision, one he wasn’t sure he could regret, despite the friction it seemed to have caused between him and Andrew. Xavier was new here and Everett remembered how lonely it was, to come to a new place and not know anyone.

Besides, dancing and grinding on the dance floor with other writhing bodies rubbing against him would get him hotter than hell. Then he’d come back here half crazed with lust and he’d complete the task his master sent.

His Master. Everett rolled the words around in his head. People signed all sorts of things to their requests and Everett didn't have a problem discerning the real Doms from the people who only wanted to see him do kinky shit on camera. Puck sounded like a real Dom. His Master. The words should sound odd to Everett, who’d never had a Dom of his own before, but they didn’t.

His phone pinged with a text.

Xavier: I’m not touching the germy intercom either. Let me in.

Everett laughed, picked a blue shirt that was almost sheer and kind of shiny, and pulled it over his head.

Everett: Be right down.

Everett shoved his phone in his back pocket and his keys into his front pocket. He took the stairs instead of the ancient elevator that made terrible noises. He feared he would get stuck in it one day. He shoved his way through the main doors and found Xavier waiting for him.

Xavier had his hands shoved into his back pockets. He wore a pair of red skinny jeans and a tight white t-shirt. A thick black belt with silver studs highlighted his trim waist. Xavier’s head was tilted down. When he raised it, his green eyes popped behind the dark frames of his glasses.

“Ready?”

Everett nodded.

“Then lead the way.”

Everett planned on drinking, and because he lived a few streets over from the club district, it was an easy walk.

“I imagine it sucks for you, having to take your best friend’s little brother out.”

Everett smiled at Xavier and tried to picture him as the wiry fourteen-year-old with acne and a bad haircut he remembered. But it was impossible to picture Xavier as anything but hot, especially in the skin-tight red pants that hugged his form. “I don’t mind. It’s not as if Drew likes the clubs, and my buddy Craig hasn’t been around in a while, but they weren’t his scene either. Mostly we stayed in and drank ourselves sick on wine. It’s great to have someone to go with. Not that I do much clubbing anymore.”

“Why not?”

Everett shrugged. “Getting too old, I guess.”

Xavier laughed and slung an arm around Everett’s shoulders. “You’re not old, you’re just stuck in a rut. Face it, Ev, your best friend is a giant stick-in the mud. He’s an unapologetic dude-bro and we love him, but,” Xavier leaned closer and Everett caught the scent of his peppermint toothpaste. “Drew is boring.”

Everett laughed and ignored how his heart pounded when Xavier’s arm didn’t leave his shoulders. “We didn’t come out to talk about Drew. He’s not here to defend himself.”

Xavier nodded. “Right. We can only pick on him when he’s in the room. Got it, Coach. Since good old Andy is off limits, we should talk about my guest spot on that hot little vlog of yours.”

Hot? Was Xavier flirting with him? “Uh, yeah. What were you thinking of doing? Did you have a signature dish you could teach me?”

Xavier pursed his lips. “Oooh. I like that. I could show an old dog a new trick.”

“Only if you don’t call me old.”

“You said it earlier.”

“Well, I changed my mind. Twenty-eight is not old.” Even though it felt like it was. Twenty-eight and too scared to date. Twenty-eight and living off his blog and the money from his mom’s estate. Everett suppressed the chill that ran through him and counted backwards from ten. If Xavier noticed his odd silence or his suddenly stiff behaviour, he didn’t mention it.

“Oh, I know. We’re going to get wasted tonight right? How about I come over tomorrow and we can shoot a hangover food special?”

Everett raised an eyebrow. “That’s a terrible idea. The hangover, not the food. The food is a great idea.”

Xavier’s arm finally slid off Everett’s shoulder, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t miss the contact. Everett hadn’t always craved physical affection, but lately he had to admit he’d been lonely and his online submission blog only seemed to exacerbate the problem, rather than help him. It lacked the warmth and the connection of interacting with an actual person.

“It’s settled then. Tomorrow I’ll come over and we’ll shoot my first guest spot.”

Everett cocked an eyebrow. “Your first guest spot?”

Xavier flashed him a megawatt smile. “Oh, Ev, you know your fans are going to eat me up.”

Everett shrugged. “If you say so.” Everett nodded toward a door where a hulking dude in a tight black T-shirt with white lettering splashed across the front stood. Everett waited for Xavier to produce his ID for the bouncer and tried to hide his nerves. It had been too long since he’d been out dancing and the idea of being surrounded by so many people thrilled and terrified him.

Xavier put a hand on his shoulder and steered him toward the door. “Let’s go.”

The weight of Xavier’s touch steadied Everett’s nerves. He wasn’t here alone this time. He could use Xavier as a buffer. Everett opened the door and the bass from the music reverberated in his chest. The club was dimly lit and except for a row of stools along the bar, the whole place was one wide open dance floor. A rail ran around the perimeter of the room and people hugged the wall, drinking, and watching all the warm bodies writhe together.

Interspersed throughout the room were tall caged platforms where go-go dancers in tiny shorts worked the crowd.

Everett felt Xavier lean in closer. “This place is insane.”

Everett nodded and motioned to the bar. He would need a drink after all. Everett ordered two gin and tonics and passed one to Xavier who eyeballed it quizzically.

“Gin and tonic, really?”

Everett shrugged and took a large swallow of his drink. “They keep it simple here. If you want fancy drinks, I know a place we can go later.”

Xavier powered through his drink, then plunked the glass down on the bar. He grabbed Everett by a belt loop and tugged him away from the bar. “I don’t care about fancy drinks. I want to dance.”

Everett finished his drink, ditched the glass then let Xavier lead him away from the bar and out into the middle of the club. Xavier’s hand slid away from Everett’s waist. He turned, took a step closer and rocked his hips. Everett raked his gaze down Xavier’s body. His teeth bit into his lip and his hips rolled, then Xavier took another step forward. He grabbed Everett’s waist and his eyes glimmered with mischief.

“Dance with me, Ev.” Xavier had to half shout to be heard above the music. When Everett didn’t move fast enough for Xavier’s liking, Xavier grabbed Everett by the wrists. His hands wrapped over the cuffs Everett wore. Everett’s dick thickened when Xavier yanked Everett closer. He put Everett’s hands on his waist, then threw his arms over Everett’s shoulders. Xavier’s eyes weren’t filled with mischief anymore. Instead they burned with desire. Xavier leaned in and Everett felt Xavier’s hot breath on his neck. “Dance with me.”

Everett forced himself to laugh. It was either that or drop to his knees in the middle of the club. Forceful Xavier was sexy as hell. Everett knew he’d have no trouble completing the one stroke task later. He’d think about the fact that he intended to use his best friend’s little brother for spank bank material another time. Right now, Everett found Xavier’s proximity intoxicating. The music thumped. Gin and tonic coursed through Everett’s blood stream. Xavier bit down on a puffy pink lip and Everett moved his hips, undulating to the music.

Xavier danced around Everett and settled in behind him. His hands roamed Everett’s body. The level of comfort he felt with Xavier didn’t baffle him. Xavier might be younger than him, but he was forceful, and didn’t have a stature that dwarfed Everett’s. Everett hated it when guys loomed over him and shoved him around as if he were their personal play toy. Xavier’s hands were strong, but soft, and even when he crowded Everett, rubbing his hands up Everett’s chest and grinding behind him, his chest never tightened with fear.

Everett never did like the way big guys made him feel. If Everett was going to feel powerless, it would be because he willingly gave himself to someone he trusted. It wouldn’t be because some gym-bunny who could bench press a small car took it from him. Everett hated that a lot of big guys thought because Everett was on the small side it meant he wanted to be pushed around and tossed around like a rag doll.

Xavier rocked his hips and pressed his erection into Everett’s ass. His hand slid up to cage Everett’s throat. “Your mind is wandering, E. You’re supposed to be dancing with me.”

Xavier’s deep voice had a hard edge to it, one that screamed to Everett’s inner submissive. Everett leaned into Xavier to disguise how weak his knees were. If it hadn’t been so long since he’d gone out, or gotten laid, or even been touched by someone else, maybe Xavier wouldn’t have had this effect on him.

“That’s better.” Xavier purred. His hands slid down Everett’s body, and he gripped onto his hips. Everett’s eyes fell shut, and he gave himself over to Xavier. He became Xavier’s toy. Everett let Xavier grind his erection against his ass. Xavier’s hands roamed his body and Everett let the world fall away. He absorbed every touch. Every puff of air on his skin. He let Xavier dance with him the way he wanted.

Then Xavier jerked. Everett’s eyes flew open, and he stiffened.

“Back off, pal. We’re not interested.” Xavier barked. He hauled Everett back against him and slid his arm around Everett’s waist.

The guy easily had fifty pounds on Everett and though he backed off right away, Everett’s stomach tightened. This had been the reason he stopped going out. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t be around people who wanted to manhandle him and grope at him. Everett’s chest tightened, then a warm hand touched his cheek.

Everett’s gaze snapped around and found Xavier’s. Xavier furrowed his brow. He slid his thumb across Everett’s cheek bone, then pulled Everett against him. He wound his arms around Everett’s waist and rocked against him. Everett felt Xavier’s lips brush against his ear. “You’re okay, E. I’ve got you.”

Everett couldn’t get the room to quit shrinking and he gripped Xavier’s waist.

Xavier’s hand ghosted up Everett’s cheek. His fingers tugged on a strand of Everett’s hair. “You’re okay, E. Let’s grab a water and cool down.”

A little of the tension eased out of Everett’s shoulders and he gave Xavier a stiff nod. Everett shouldn’t have let himself get carried away. Lost in the rhythm of the music, he’d let Xavier sweep him away and for a few minutes, Everett felt nothing, but a warm body pressed against him. Everett allowed himself to be caught up in the blissful feeling. Then he had been yanked back to reality. If he’d kept his eyes open and been aware of his surroundings, he might not have spooked so easily.

As they neared the bar, Everett couldn’t help but be thankful he’d taken Xavier out. His steady presence calmed Everett’s frayed nerves and by the time he drank his bottle of water he felt better.

But now Xavier stood there, one hand on his hip, an eyebrow raised. His eyes were fiery, his face stone cold serious. He thought for a moment that Xavier would make him spill his guts, but then he smiled.

“Dance?”

Everett didn’t have to force the smile he gave Xavier. Gratitude swelled inside Everett when Xavier didn’t ask what happened. Everett would tell him, but not in the middle of a crowded club.
