Two Months Later
“You really think she’s ready?” I watch Sawyer as he carefully packs Harper’s lunch box.
“She’s ready.” He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a piece of paper then slips it into the insulated bag. “And we’re boring her to tears. She needs to be around other kids. And you need to get back to work.”
