Kiss Me : A Modern Sleeping Beauty Retold (A Modern Fairy Tale Series Book 2) by Zoey A. Black (31)

Professor August Ramirez

It was a wonder I had even been able to get out of bed after the crippling loss of my wife. It was four years ago that Judy lost her battle to cancer.

I had heard through the grapevine in the halls of NYU about this club. I was a psychology professor researching in sexual deviance. A sex club was the perfect place for me to do my research.

I wrangled an invitation from another faculty member. I wasn’t really expecting to do anything and I didn’t get involved with anyone in my previous visits to the club. I kept to myself and enjoyed the people watching. Everything changed when she walked through the door wearing something remarkably similar to lingerie.

She moved across the floor with the grace of a feline cat owning the room from the moment she stepped through the threshold. Her smile was bewitching and her ruby lips called to me from across the room like the siren of the sea. The dress was nothing more than window dressing.

Her long legs weren’t the first thing I noticed about her. It was her long stark white hair that had stopped time for me.

There was a medley of scantily clad women vying for my attention. The music was loud and the lights were dimmed.

I waited patiently for her friend to leave her in the buzzing presence of those men who were screaming one thing. They would do and say anything to get it. I pushed my way through the throngs of people until I was standing right behind her.

I spun her to face me on the stool and she was holding onto her drink not spilling a drop.

“Stop wasting your time with little boys who are trying to be men.” She put the drink down and followed me out onto the dance floor. She had this sultry look that made me melt on the spot.

“I have to say you don’t remind me of someone who would frequent a place like this.” She ran her hands down over my starched white shirt. I had the prerequisite patches on the elbows of my tweed jacket to give me an intellectual air.

“Color me curious. What kind of life would it be if I were to hide from the world?” Her breasts were somewhat exposed with the nipples calling attention to themselves.

“How does anybody breathe in a place like this? I am feeling a little claustrophobic with all of these people.” She turned and moved with a seductive sway to her hips.

The dress molded to her body came dangerously close to making me succumb to my animal instincts. I made an involuntary moan when she rubbed up against me. This girl bent over at the waist and was looking over her shoulder with this evil little smile.

“I don’t want you to think I make a habit of coming here and picking up strange women. I’ve been here a few times and mostly I sit alone watching these people like an experiment under a microscope. I would love to take you someplace private to be alone and talk.” I didn’t know where the words came from, but they spilled from my lips like an aged fine wine.

“Let’s not jump into anything too quickly, Professor.” I was enamored and was feeling the courage from the couple of drinks I had consumed. “I will say I do know what I like and what you have in your pants makes me hungry to see more.” She was very forward and had no problem saying what was on her mind without any sort of filter.

“You remind me of a lost soul and I feel responsible for saving you from these boys.” She had her back towards me with her hands around my neck.

She was scratching my neck lightly like a cat playing with a mouse. I felt like her prey. I was waiting for her to say something to stop this from happening. The scent of the woman was intoxicating. I was drunk on the aroma assaulting my nostrils. I was flying high on life and any thoughts of my deceased wife vanished.

“I don’t need a father figure. I’m old enough to know what I’m doing.”

My pants were full and the outline of my appendage was causing her to bite on the tip of her finger. She couldn’t take her eyes off of it.

“I don’t want to rob the cradle. You’re old enough to be my daughter.” My words carried her on the wings of the music.

She moved around me touching me inappropriately. I was not immune to her charms. There was suddenly another guy in front of her and she was unbuttoning his shirt until his muscles were rippling in front of her.

“I saw you from across the room and I had to introduce myself. People know me by the name of Phoenix Reynolds.” It was obviously not his real name and I felt a little inferior in his presence.

He knew how to work the room and use the power of only his smile to make women powerless to resist. Those muscles were his secret weapon. His eyes looked bloodshot and he was sniffing. I had this idea he might have indulged in some recreational drugs.

“It’s nice to meet you, Phoenix. I believe it’s only appropriate to return the favor. I’m Snow White and my friend is the Professor. You both have this electric magnetism. I can’t decide which one is going to have the pleasure of fucking me.” My eyes went wide with surprise. I knew she was out of my league in so many ways.

“That’s the beauty of having free will. There’s no reason for you to choose one over the other.” Phoenix was manhandling Snow White and was practically dirty dancing to the beat of his loins calling the shots.

“I love the way you think. We don’t even have to leave the club to enjoy each other’s bodies. If you feel daring, then you should join me in the women’s washroom in 1-minute. Do you feel lucky…punk?” She turned abruptly and placed my back against the wall. Her enthusiasm was contagious.

“I’m not sure about this. It doesn’t feel right to take advantage of you in your current inebriated condition.” I was trying to remain honorable when this man was waiting to seduce her into his arms.

“I’m not drunk, but I am feeling good. There’s nothing that’s going to happen that I don’t want to happen. Be adventurous and jump on the train while you still can.” She grabbed me by the hair and pulled me in for a kiss where her tongue was practically down my throat.

Her hand slid down to where she was cupping my manhood. Her hand was taking away any kind of doubt I might have had about being with a woman of her considerable age difference. I had no idea what I was waiting for. Snow white was giving me an engraved invitation.

“I still think it would be prudent of me to get you out of here. You’ll wake up with a hangover, but you’ll know that there are still some good ones out there.” I had this catch in my throat and the view from behind when she walked away was priceless.

Phoenix had turned his head and was sucking a puffer for allergies or asthma. He seemed rather embarrassed by it, but was easily covering for his discomfort.

“This is your one chance to take off the stuffy jacket and live a little.” Those words came back to me like a slap in the face. A young woman with her whole life ahead of her had said the same thing.

Phoenix was wearing his Sunday best tweaked with the blood red shirt. It had two buttons missing to give a brief peek at the gold cross swinging around his neck.

This was meant as a focal point to give the girl the idea he had a moral compass pointing true north. His dark pants with the black belt and ostentatious Harley Davidson buckle was hard to ignore.

She had her back against the door to the bathroom down the hall. The only thing I could make out from my vantage point was her index finger motioning to me with her sharpened red nail of persuasion. She used her black high heel to kick the door open with no regard for the possibility of somebody standing right behind it.

I was a little dizzy with the anticipation of touching her in a not so subtle way. I tried to stay the course, but her eyes were the devil’s playground. Phoenix was going to get lucky and I couldn’t bear to let her go through the ordeal without having some kind of lifeline.

I went to the bar and ordered another drink. I quickly downed the contents and let the liquid flow through my veins with encouragement. The girl behind the bar gave me a wink. She must’ve been watching the display of the three of us getting intimately acquainted with one another.

“Don’t think about it for too long. Opportunities don’t come around often and you need to seize the moment.” She had flaming red hair down past her shoulders. The tattoos on her neck and bare shoulders made her catnip for the boys.

“I don’t know if I’m the type of guy to do something like this. Do you have any more tidbits of wisdom you can share with me?” I looked at the door and wondered what was going on behind it.

“I’m sure you have a million reasons why you shouldn’t get involved. Erase them from your mind. Life is about taking chances and living in the moment. She will understand and has probably been waiting for you to take the plunge.” She grabbed my hand and rubbed her thumb over my wedding ring. I know Judy left me four years ago, but I didn’t have the heart to take off my ring.

It was gleaming in the psychedelic lights of different colors playing across the room. She slowly removed it and I didn’t try to stop her. She had it in her hand and then she gently placed it into the pocket of my shirt.

“I didn’t think I was that transparent.” I felt like I was betraying her memory by being with another woman.

“I’ve been a bartender for 10-years. Marsha has employed me to make sure the guests have a good time. That woman in the bathroom is waiting for you and you’re here talking to me. What’s wrong with that picture? This one’s on the house.” I couldn’t help but let out a yawn. She placed a swirling green and blue concoction in front of me.

I questioned her for a moment with my eyes and then I slammed it back. She took a hold of my shoulders and turned me towards the path less traveled. I had never had a threesome in my life. There was no time like the present.
