Sassy Little Thing (Iron Fury MC Book 4) by Bella Jewel (22)

SASKIA

“Girlllll,” Scarlett says, launching out of her chair and rushing over to me. “You look so freakin’ hot. Where did you get that dress?”

I glance down at the very tight, very clingy, very short black dress Chantelle told me I had to wear. Apparently, my sexy hot dress was absolutely not sexy and hot and she threatened to murder me if I even attempted to walk out the door in it. She then insisted on doing my hair, and make up, and now I look like a Barbie doll.

Only a short one.

“Chantelle forced it upon me.” I grin, sitting down at the table and waving to the other girls.

“I didn’t force her,” Chantelle says, sitting down. “Hello, ladies, I’m Chantelle. You three are freaking gorgeous and I’m in love with you.”

The three girls laugh.

“Amalie,” Amalie says, smiling.

“Charlie.” Charlie grins.

“Scarlett.”

Chantelle’s eyes light up. “I know who you are! Eeek! I have tickets to your show in December. I can’t freaking wait. I am such a huge fan. Lord, you have no idea. Are you excited about going on tour again?”

Scarlett frowns. “No. Not really. I’m sure the press will have another field day with me.”

“Lifestyles of the rich and famous,” I point out.

“Gosh, if I stare at you all night, don’t be alarmed,” Chantelle gushes. “Can I get your signature?”

Scarlett laughs. “Sure.”

Chantelle hands her the very expensive purse she’s holding, after then pulls out a sharpie. Scarlett laughs. “You come prepared.”

“I’ve been waiting to meet you, you have no idea! This is amazing. I can’t believe nobody is over here swarming your table.”

“She’s already been swarmed three times since we’ve been in here.” Amalie laughs softly. “Hence why we’re hiding in this booth.”

Scarlett rolls her eyes.

I glance over quickly at the group of bikers sitting at the table not far from us. They’re all chatting, but Mason’s eyes are on me, lingering. Yeah. He noticed the dress. He also noticed I have yet to acknowledge him. Childish? Perhaps. Fun? Oh, yes.

“Mason looks like he wants to eat you alive, girl.” Charlie laughs. “Check out that stare.”

“We’re not interacting with Mason tonight,” Chantelle says, pinching my arm so I look away.

Scarlett claps. “Ohhh, do share.”

Chantelle leans in, and even though I shove her, she doesn’t stop telling the story. She has no shame. Zero. “Our girl here has a case of the green-eyed monster.”

“I do not!” I snap.

Scarlett grins, and Charlie laughs. Amalie is the only one who looks slightly sympathetic to my cause.

“You like Mason?” Charlie wiggles her brows. “Can’t say I blame you.”

“I don’t like him, not, that’s—”

“They had a few relations,” Chantelle blurts. “And today she found another woman all sprawled out on his bed, and she got a little jealous.”

“My God, Chantelle, why don’t you tell them the color of my panties while you’re at it?”

“Black thong. Anyway, I told her to strut her stuff tonight and not give him an ounce of her attention. Men love that shit, gets them every time.”

“You slept with Mason?” Scarlett claps. “Ohhhh, this is great. You’re going to be one of us.”

“I’m not going to be anything,” I try, but Charlie cuts me off with a grin and a squeal.

“Yes, you two are perfect for each other.”

“Shhh,” I hiss at her. “And no, we’re not. It was a bit of fun. He’s clearly pre-occupied with hot legs.”

“Pfffft.” Scarlett waves a hand. “Mason isn’t serious about anyone. Except maybe you, judging by the look he’s giving you. Damn, girl, you better work it tonight. Let’s find some hot fella to really get his blood boiling.”

I can’t help but smile.

Because damn these girls, they’re addictive. And fun. And on my side.

I love that.

“What about that one? He’s glanced at our girl three times already,” Charlie says, pointing to a super-hot guy at the bar wearing a cowboy hat, tight jeans, and a black tee.

Cute. But not really my type.

“No, that one hasn’t taken his eyes off her,” Amalie says, pointing in the opposite direction where a rugged man in a checkered shirt and jeans is standing, staring at me with a grin.

Mmmm.

“That’s my kind of man!”

“He’s totally checking you out!” Charlie squeaks happily. “Go over and talk to him, it’ll get Mason’s blood boiling.”

I lean back in my chair and smile at the mysterious man. He grins back, and I know I’ve got him hook line and sinker. “Soon,” I murmur. “Let’s see if he comes to me first.”

“Penelope!”

Amalie jumps up and rushes over, and we all turn to see a pretty, curvy woman walking into the bar. She’s freaking cute. Like adorably so. She’s wearing a black and white polka dot dress and her long, thick, mousy brown hair is flowing around her shoulders. She has the lightest blue eyes I’ve ever seen, and the creamiest, most flawless skin. She’s adorable. Without a doubt.

They approach the table.

“Hey, Penny.” Scarlett smiles, waving.

“Hey, Scar.”

“Hey, girl,” Charlie beams.

“Hey, Charlie.”

“These are our new friends,” Amalie introduces, “Chantelle and Saskia. Guys, this is Penelope, but you can call her Penny. She’s a good friend of mine.”

I wave to her and smile. Chantelle gives her a big, dazzling grin. The two of them sit.

“We were just scoping to find a handsome man for our girl Saskia here,” Scarlett tells Penelope. “Mason is playing games with her.”

Penny smiles. “Oh, sounds fun!”

“She gets all the fun!” Chantelle huffs. “I want some, too. Only I want some fun with one of those bikers. Which one did you say didn’t have a woman?”

“Boston, I think,” I say, shrugging.

Scarlett looks to Penny, who flushes.

“Oh, lord,” Chantelle squeaks, noticing the exchange. “Is he your boyfriend? Oh, I’m so sorry.”

“No, no, no,” Penny laughs, putting her hands up. “No, he’s a friend. I work a few days a week as a carer for his sister.”

“Oh,” Chantelle exhales. “I was so worried I had just put my foot in it big time.”

“But I think our Boston likes Penny a little.” Amalie smiles.

“Well, girl, I ain’t cutting your grass then.” Chantelle smiles at her.

“No, please,” Penny says, waving a hand. “There is honestly nothing there. Go for it.”

Chantelle beams, “Are you sure?”

“Yes, of course.”

Penny sounds convincing, but I can see the hesitation in her eyes. I would bet a solid fifty she’s into Boston. I’ll chat to Chantelle about it later; I won’t do it in front of everyone else. Chantelle isn’t easy, though she does love the male attention. She is also not one to take a man out from under another woman. But if that woman gives her the all clear, she’s not shy in having a go.

And as much as Penny just gave her the all clear, I don’t think she means it. And from the look of Scarlett’s face, I think she has guessed as much, also.

“Oh, oh, Saskia, hot dude is coming over!”

I turn and flash my sexiest smile at the man coming over.

Game on.

Baby.
