BLADE: The villains also love (English verson) (Duology of criminals Book 1) by Mari Sillva (9)

So she was not shy just in front of me...

He watched Jesse like a hawk saw nothing else in that place beyond it. The place was crowded, full of beautiful, well-dressed women, but the delicacy of the young woman stood out in front of them all. Mozart was an ample and sophisticated place, located in the most well-known neighborhood of Los Angeles. Adorned with large curtains scattered across the walls and flower pots everywhere, where millionaires, and especially Hollywood stars, used to hold their gala parties. Yet it was a place that did not fit with Carter, ostentation was not her style. If it were not for her friend, she would never go to an environment like that she would not even come close.

-Blade, what are you still doing there?- Get out of this place now! - Li shouted in despair.

Maldonado simply took the microphone from his ear and put it in his pocket. He turned his eyes to her again making sure it was not her place. Jesse was all huddled, alone, hiding in a darker corner of the event, where no one could find her at least that's what she thought. Lying on a gold-colored wall next to the bar, entertained like a child for the first time in a circus watching the main show of the night, totally enchanted watching a man dressed in dark pants and dark purple shirt, a bow tie and apron behind from a glass counter balancing three bottles of drinks in the air, dancing to the rhythm of the music he was playing. He was the bartender of the event. What was even more incredible was that from the inside of the bottles came flames of fire in the yellow and orange colors, drawn at the tips to a coppery dark blue. The man turned some of the liquid from each into the crystal glass, handing it over and smiling politely at a well-dressed man in an Italian gray suit, who shook his hand and congratulated him on the small show. His smile grew even larger as he turned to the side and saw an angel dressed in black swan over there cheering and clapping. He gave a charming wink to her side. Act that was not very well seen in the eyes of Maldonado, who clenched the fists tightly, his eyes in two puddles red as fresh blood! She rejoices at such banal things.

Jesse looked like a doll, small and delicate. She wore a black evening gown, a strapless bodice fitted with straps behind, and a skirt with several layers of veils made of petals of a rose, short and rounded. Far too much in the opinion of the Outlaw Man, it was the first thing that came to mind. She lowered her eyes to her legs, arched her eyebrow in surprise at what she saw, she had beautiful legs. Thick and shapely, attractive even. To complete, gloves up the bow of the arms, sneakers All Star black and still a necklace of fake black stones. Her hair caught in a tall bun with a few loose curls. Blade had to assume that she hid a lot under those loose clothes, a small, thin body but with delicate contours. The painting of the face up to the extent of the neck was clear, over the eyes two black wings open, like a bird preparing the flight.

In slow motion as the couples passed fervently dancing, he saw her smiling sheepishly, watched everything from afar, in her corner. When Jesse arrived at the ball, she took a deep breath with his head held high. But when she looked around and saw all the fantasies rich in color and detail, high heels and lavish elegance and sophistication, she felt totally out of place and strange. Did not anyone else use the basic black? There were so many colors together that the girl was getting dizzy, had to move away in a more discreet corner, saw the whole parade from there. But they were all the same only changing the colors of the dresses and the hairstyles. Jesse was the only one to stand out, both bold and delicate. She was the one who tried at all costs to hide from the world, especially from the evil of the people. She blushed to see the bartender whispering something in the ear of one of the waiters looking towards her. He was a handsome man, black, not so tall, but the charm made up for his short stature curly hair, emerald green eyes and a breathtaking smile.

-Excuse me, ma'am, the bartender sent you this glass of French champagne to brighten your evening. -A black-clad waiter handed him the drink with a malicious expression on his face.

She accepted willingly, looked up from the distance and saw him waving that flirtatious smile on her face. In a burst of courage, he walked to the bar to thank him in person. She was amazed at the mini bar there were glass shelves boasting bottles of all kinds of drinks, one more expensive than the other. All very well organized and clean, outside the collection of crystal glasses inside a glass cabinet too.

- Thank you, you are very kind! - She looked at him awkwardly.

Up close, his smile was even more handsome. She tried to charm herself by sitting on a round iron stool next to the counter, almost fell to the floor, it was spinning. Unwittingly, he knocked over a pile of white napkins like swallows flying.

-Sorry! - She said sheepishly.

-No need to apologize, angel. My name is Michelangelo, but you can call me Miche. - She leaned over the counter to kiss the investigator's face. He was Brazilian, nice as all Latinos. She widened her eyes startled by his sudden act, it was the closest contact she had, at that party, with a man.

- Mine is Jesse, nice to meet you! -I used to toss a few frills on the counter, miniatures from bottles of old drinks.

- It's all my pleasure, angel! Up close you can be more beautiful still.

Carter glanced at the crowd in front of the DJ's stage. Jumping and shouting louder than the music itself, there was a woman dressed as a tango dancer in a red dress swung just above the knees, with a huge neckline, high shoe, very well made up, her hair long and dark, loose as a mantle on the back and festooned with a flower. She was whirling around the room, dancing well sensual her dress spinning through the air. There was a moment when Carter could have sworn he saw a man with half his face covered by a white mask staring at them with an expression of hatred. But the red cloth of the skirt passed in front of her vision and in a second the man in black suit was no longer there.

-I can only be going crazy. - She shook her head in frustration, thinking she was hallucinating.

-Did you say something, beautiful? - The Brazilian was watching her closely.

-No, I just thought aloud. -She looked down she was having a strange feeling, as if she were being watched.

-Just an instant, angel, I need to meet a client, but I'll be right back for you, - Michelangelo said very seductively at the girl's ear, closer than necessary, making her blush even though her face was painted.

-What would you like to drink?

-I want a Dalmore 62, Royal Salute Whiskey with two ice rocks, Tequila Ley with gin and sparkling water for the girl. - Jesse froze when he heard that deep voice again, thick and incredibly sexy. She did not dare lift her head to look at him she thought it might have been just a hallucination.

- Are you all right, my angel? Looks like you've seen a ghost. - Michelangelo tenderly touched the girl's hand on the cold glass balcony, with the same delicacy that the painter of whom he had inherited the name painted the canvas in which he gave the name "Angel", as well as the nickname he had given for her.

Blade's eyes flashed over them, burning like burning coals.

-Her name is not" angel. - The thick voice took over the room again, visibly altered. -She is not yours and it never will be. - Now the tone was more severe.

-I'm fine, Michelangelo, do not worry. - She offered him a comforting smile to show that she was really well, but she was not, not really.

-It can be dangerous enough to accept drinks from stranger investigators, did not you know that? - Cried Maldonado as soon as the boy came out of the room to prepare his request. She was brave, did not know where to look at him, her body leaning atop the balcony half-way with a menacing look, like a lion watching over its prey. -In your case for both parties, especially for him,- he added coldly, like the Alaskan glacier. Carter waited for the chill that ran through his body, because of the scary tone his voice had caused. In order, perhaps, to try to assimilate something intelligent to answer, but with those blue eyes like the sea facing her it would be quite difficult.

-I spent the night at one's house and I'm still alive, am not I? - She answered a question with another, looking away, in a tone too ironic for a sweet person like her.

The problem was that Maldonado really had the power to take her seriously. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed how he caught the posture and stood elegantly standing right in front of her. Jesse noticed that Blade looked much bigger and stronger than he'd remembered, beautiful, attractive, and many other things he'd even been ashamed to talk about. He thought about asking what he was doing at a women's fashion show, as he had spent the last few weeks or had thought of her as she had thought of him every minute. Only she was too shy for it. Also, in the way he was shaking, the words would not be understandable. He carried the glass of effervescent champagne to his mouth in the hope that the alcohol would dispel some of the tension between the two, but his act was barred before it was realized.

-Do not you think you're a little early to drink? - He took the cup from her hand roughly, placing it on the tray of a passing waiter.

-But I'm thirsty. - She made an ugly face, stiffening in her six-foot-six.

-Do not worry, the sparkling water I ordered is for you. - She denied with her head. Her desire was to punch his face for being so pretentious. -If you are already a disaster, I do not want to think about it when you are drunk. - As he spoke, his eyes darted around the room. There were security guards everywhere.

-I thought you said it was dangerous to accept things from strangers. - Jesse looked serious and frowned.

-I'm not a stranger anymore you spent the night at my house. -he tilted his body up to her height, which was kind of hard for a six-foot-three man. -Or rather, in my bed, - he added quietly at the foot of her ear, making sure that it was enough for a certain bartender in a cheap conqueror to listen.

Blade had always had everything planned. She wanted to curse him for being such a jerk, only that she was too disoriented with such beauty in front of her. He watched her perfect contours beneath that damned sexy mask, his face square totally perfect her light brown hair, her eyes, which at that moment were as blue as summer sky, a straight nose and a charming furrow on her chin. The stubble, two or three days at the most, the light marks of the dimples that yearned for a smile to manifest themselves, since they never had the opportunity. Curvy and thin lips she was delighted and wondered what the taste of his kiss would be? He chose not to think about the answer, he would never have the opportunity to get it.

-Here's your drink, sir! - Michelangelo did not have the nice smile on his face anymore, nor did he look at Jesse as he handed Maldonado's order.

-The water is for the girl. -He rolled his eyes at her, who was staring at her feet in shame. -I need her sober tonight.

And the jerk acted again in that attractive voice mocking things they both knew very well they would never happen. Unfortunately, she thought.

- I do not want! - she took two steps back, creating a distance between them, each gesture discreetly followed by his eyes.

-I did not ask if I wanted to. - It was rude.

-Then I'll pay for it. - she sniffed.

Maldonado hated when she faced him that way.

-you would not have the money for that.

She blinked several times trying to hide her tears and lowered her head visibly embarrassed, biting her lower lip. He had called her poor enough to have no money to pay for plain water. In fact, she did not, but he did not know that.

-All right, princess, stay as a courtesy of the house! - She lifted her smiling face to Michelangelo with tears in her eyes, which made "Miche" even more enchanted by her.

-I do not suppose you have the money to pay for it either, it must cost you at least two months of your wretched salary, - he said naturally, sliding his finger along the rim of the glass and watching the cinnamon liquid dance from side to side inside his.

Jesse looked at him literally shocked.

How it could make someone feel bad that way, that is not done with anyone. And what was inside that water with gas, gold?

-In fact, yes, tiny white gold particles, - he explained calmly as if he had listened to her thoughts. The researcher thought that if the water was so expensive, she did not want to imagine the rest he had asked for, and she gaped at the sight of him taking a bundle of hundred-dollar bills out of his pocket, at least ten thousand more. He handed it to the bartender in a way that did not touch him he already hated him and did not even know why.

- It's easy to spend money when you have not worked hard to get it. Jesse threw the glass anyway on the table, confronting him once more, but that passed all Maldonado's limits of patience. - Blade had sweated to get that money it took an entire month planning this robbery. She was thinking what? Stealing a bank is easy, it's more complicated and complex than it looks.

-If you throw a hundred dollar bill into a muddy puddle, it will still have the same value.

He ran his hand through his hair in a sexy way, so that two beautiful women who were walking towards the bathroom, a costume of Cleopatra and the other of Sorceress literally drooled on him. He had scary power over the opposite sex he did not have to do anything to get them to fall to his feet. He did not even notice them his attention was focused on some abused bass.

-For people like you, you will. - The good thing about being poor is that we do not need much to be happy, only a pout with a cold orange juice already satisfies me. He cast a wary glance at him, utterly defiant.

-I doubt there's anything that all your" money "can buy, you have everything, but at the same time, you have nothing!

He frowned, glaring at her. Worse, she knew she was right, the more money she stole, the more empty she felt inside. But the adrenaline made him feel alive, powerful.

-You know I get irritated with anything, and it keeps teasing me, - he muttered under his breath, cursing curses.

- Did you say something? -She asked, mocking with a triumphant smile on her face, she loved provoking him.

-Certainly nothing of your own, - said thickly making her smile died.

-You do not have to talk to her like that, man! -Michelangelo, a gentleman, was the man who had defended the girl, and his father had taught him at an early age that women should be treated with respect.

-And you, shut up, dwarf, why do not you see how Snow White is? - She stared at him with her handsome face, her clenched fists showing that she was ready for anything.

He had always been a very discreet man, but at that moment he was not calling for anything else, he was willing to do anything to stop that strange feeling that was arising when he saw the way the bartender looked at her, something he could not quite hold new, uncontrollable.

-Before I shut her up myself! - He emphasized.

The boy swallowed hard to look at him, David looked like Goliath, but even with fear, he was too much of a man to run, even if it was his will.

- All right, Miche, I'm fine! - Jesse held his arm affectionately. Blade felt him burn when his fingertips touched him so delicately and gently, offering him a sweet smile.

- Not worth it, sometimes the best solution is to silence when the other expects you to shout. It was the first time Maldonado had felt inferior. - She spoke without looking at him as if she were invisible. The scream frightens, but silence destroys anyone!

- As I said the water is a courtesy of mine, princess, do not worry because for the staff has a good discount. As I do not drink it is the first thing they will deduct from my salary. - She opened a broad smile, one that illuminates everything around her.

-But the champagne you ordered to deliver me must cost a fortune!-I was feeling guilty I did not want you to spend so much money on her.

-Do not worry, angel, the champagne is being held by the organizers of the event, only the most expensive drinks are paid for. -She smiled in relief.

- Remember my response to the invitation to leave Miche? I changed my mind, I accept. - He did not know what she was talking about, but he still liked the idea of leaving her. Jesse drank some of the water, did not know how to play, the angry expression on Blade's face was evidence that was going very well.

- Miche? What a fucking intimacy this is with a guy you just met, and what's the story of going out with him?

-But I thought you two were ... - The bartender scratched his head awkwardly. - Intimates.

-I'm not that needy. - Maldonado thought aloud, thick beyond words.

Jesse spat the water away, amazed at his comment, which now tasted like it was the most expensive wine in the world, which made Blade very angry since he had not touched her before the future corpse said that it was his courtesy, all alone to show herself to her.

- I do not understand what you mean by that, she's beautiful! -Carter smiled broadly at the compliment.

-Only if it's for you, she's not my type! - He looked her up and down with utter disdain, frowning as he paused in the pair of sneakers thanks God new ones. For him, women should wear heels all the time. Carter looked away in embarrassment, feeling uglier than usual.

- But you do mine! -The Brazilian handed him a small piece of paper with his number, holding his hand longer than was necessary.

-And I'm glad to hear that! - He heard a subtle exchange of glances between them, the girl let out a faint shy smile. Beauty attracts, but sympathy conquers.

What is she doing? Flirting with him in front of me? Blade thought.

-Get your hands off my Brown Candy. - Kevin came in, holding a glass of strawberry cocktail in one hand as if it were the strongest drink there. He was now without his coat, if found, inside a white orange-polo shirt with sleeves folded up to his forearms.

-Your what? - The bartender asked, laughing, the boy was naturally funny.

-Nothing, Miche, and you, Kevin, why are not you going to dance a little? - Soon your parents will call you to leave, so you have to enjoy it, kitten!

The Lawless Man was noticing the way she lowered herself to be the size of the boy to straighten his flashy tie, smiled at him kindly, when he finished tapping his index finger on the tip of his nose, placing a kiss on the face.

- Great idea, Candy! - He took her hand and dragged it to the middle of the dance floor.

Jesse tried to break free, but unfortunately he did not succeed. When she saw she was already being pushed back and forth by people, the music she was playing was lively. Kevin whirled around, spinning, disappearing into the crowd. Carter crossed his arms, he could not dance.

-Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by the music, kitten, it may come loose. - He looked at her over the bottle-bottom glasses, in a very serious way.

-But just a little bit, Candy, do not abuse my goodwill.

She laughed loudly, kind of turning her head back. When the teenager teased him, he was gone again, he was a figure. She decided to do what he said, imagined as if she was alone at home with the earpiece in her ear. As if in the automatic he lifted his arms above his head and allowed himself to be carried to the sound of the beats, now it was a softer rhythm than he had ever heard before. She gently twists her hips from side to side. Timidly, she slipped her hands along the side of her body visibly awkward which made the act even more erotic. Blade watched her every move leaning against a pillar in a striped manner. Eyes like two pearls lit by whiskey, bright and intense. She was so shy, a rough diamond, just waiting to be stoned.

Maldonado knew he should not be there exposing himself like that was crazy. The two hyacinth-colored spheres were at once in the girl's innocent dance, but sensuous, and in the hundreds of security guards circling, whispering to each other, looking suspiciously at the sides, they knew that the thief was among the guests. He was confused and surprised by his own actions, that was not him, he was behaving like a caveman marking territory on a land that was not his, and he did not want it to be. He turned the whiskey in one swallow, determined to leave and forget that strange night, especially on account of a certain "Michelangelo" who had appeared from the fifth of hells and, like him, was admiring Jesse dancing. You better get out before I do a triple-murdered public homicide, that idiot is asking to die.

He took one last look at her before turning his back to leave, she kept her eyes closed, moving her body to the rhythm of the music. For a moment Blade almost did not go, but let the reason speak louder and went his way. He did not take two steps when he heard loud laughter and saw what it was about. His whole body went rigid, his expression more serious than usual. Jesse was lying on the floor anyway she had inexplicably stumbled on her own foot and dropped abruptly, actually lost her balance as she watched him go. Due to the force of impact, the coke had shattered, leaving a mess of curls on his face. He did not care about anything or anyone. Michelangelo stared at the scene with his heart aching, immediately jumped the counter and went to the girl's aid.

-Dance with me, - Maldonado ordered. The bartender was quick, but not enough.

Jesse looked up in shock he had reached out to help her up. Still half-dazed, she gently grasped his hand, feeling the strength and stiffness of his hand that lifted her with the greatest ease, freeing herself from the contact immediately. Carter noticed when he wiped his hand on his jacket, looking disgusted as if he'd touched a mangy dog.

- I can´t dance! - She replied awkwardly, staring at her feet, biting her lower lip.

That was not what it seemed to me when I was barely stirring my body like a rattlesnake, swinging the rattle, much less to the masculine looks that were on that piece of cloth that calls a dress. She ran a hand over her uncomfortable hair as she remembered Jesse did not understand the harshness in his voice.

-Why do you want to dance with me if you can´t bear to touch me? That does not make sense, -she said confused.

-I'd also like to know the answer, - he replied rudely, even a little nervous perhaps.

-Thank you for the invitation, but I do not think so. - she threatened to leave.

-It was not an invitation, and I think it's good for your safety, and that of the others present does not contradict me.- I can be very destructive at times, you will not want to pay to see.

Discreetly he opened the suit suitably so that she saw the two guns at her waist, the young woman felt a chill run down her spine.

- Okay, I'll take it. - Instinctively the researcher put her hand on his shoulder. He immediately felt his muscles tense he might have regretted the invitation.

To his surprise, he felt the tip of Blade's fingers slide around his waist, pulling her close to him, but leaving a considerable distance between them.

- That's better! - He tucked her hair behind his shoulder, arranging that mess of curls, too gentle in her opinion.

- Thanks! - She thanked him shyly, without taking her eyes off the buttons of his jacket. Gradually they began to dance. He was good at it, very much.

- Thank you for not falling or breaking anything, I have already realized that you are good at it. - His movements were light he sounded like a professional dancer.

-I think we'd better stop by then, it's safer. - She stopped dancing at the same moment, avoiding looking at him.

-Just be quiet and relax. - He reassured her by taking her hand and dancing again, trying to keep as much distance as possible, of course. He did not want such an insignificant being touching him, few had this regalia. In those they had, they were hand-picked by him.

-What are you doing here, sir? -This does not seem to be a place he frequents here, -she said innocently, without any kind of malice.

Her eyes passed around them, noting that all the women had their eyes on Maldonado, whether they were engaged or not, he attracted everyone's attention.

-I told you my name is Blade. - He frowned at her, like a teacher berating his pupil. -You do not know anything about me, much less the places I go to. Visibly do not understand anything connected to fashion, and it is here too. -If I did not know him, I would have been deeply hurt by his rudeness.

-I like my clothes, they're comfortable. What's more, I paid with my money and nobody has anything to do with it. -It was not a bad answer I just said what I was thinking.

-Watch out for that killer foot, if it stays that way, I'm going to finish this crippled dance. -It was ironic, abusing too.

-sorry! - she kept her eyes on the ground for fear of stepping on his feet again.

-Look at me, you do not have to worry about investigating, I do not bite. - He looked at her with malice, full of ulterior motives. -Not unless you want this, of course! - She shuddered, trying to change the subject immediately.

-Your name is so different I guess I only saw it once in a vampire movie in my teens if I'm not mistaken. - He sighed deeply, trying to have a normal dialogue with him.

-This is not my real name, just a nickname my father gave me in the world of crime as soon as we were born we got a nickname from his father and used it along with his last name. If I ever need to change my identity, I have a real name and my mother's middle name, totally unknown to start over, -she explained, too polite to her surprise.

-Your father was very creative. - She smiled sweetly.

-What's going on between you and the angry man? - He sent it right away.

- Anything! - She was visibly embarrassed by the subject. - For a while! But you did not hide your intentions.

-Forget it you'll never be able to compete with Snow White. - He tried to make a joke, but it was too serious to say anything funny.

-I've never liked Disney princesses. - she shrugged. Blade said nothing more, involuntarily was paying attention to the lyrics of the song he started playing it was slow but intense at the same time.

When a Man loves a woman...

When a man Love a Woman)

When a man Loves a Woman

Can´t think of anything else!

He would trade the world.

For the good things he found in her.

If she is bad, he does not notice.

She never makes mistakes, even though she is in the way.

He turns his back on his best friends,

For her, yes he would do it...

When a man Loves a Woman

Spend your last penny

Trying to cling to what he needs,

He would give up all his comforts.

And I would sleep outside in the rain.

If she said that this is the way

That should be...

So this man loves a woman.

I gave you everything I had

Trying to cling to your precious love

Baby, please do not treat me badly

When a man Loves a Woman

Deep in your soul

It can bring you much suffering,

If she makes a fool of herself

He is the last to know

Passionate eyes can never see...

When a man Loves a Woman

He can never hurt her.

He would never like another girl.

Yes, when a man loves a woman

And you know exactly what I'm talking about,

He loves to take this woman in his arm…

-If I knew who wrote this fucking music, I'd shoot him! - He snarled. But Jesse did not even heard.

She was almost dozing with her head against his chest, smelling the scent she'd been avoiding for days, listening to the thug's heart beating hard and fast as a kissing flower. He did not even see when she approached him in that intimate way, but strange as it was to have her so close, he did not push her away. Instead, his hand went lower down her waist and brought her closer to him.

- It is with great pain that I want to announce the theft of the Fox company jewels, which were loaned to the fashion show by Nayla Borges. According to the security chief the thief is here among the guests with the stolen parts, so this event ends here. No one leaves without being searched the place is all surrounded by the police.

- Announced the security chief, causing a wave of stress among the guests, ending the party. -Blade felt Carter paralyzing in his arms, took two backward steps in horror. He knew what she was thinking and did not feel remorse, not really.

Mysteriously the lights flashed and the way it appeared it disappeared in the blink of an eye. The investigator looked everywhere but did not find her. Nayla had disappeared too, taking her cell phone and keys. As the police officers present knew her it was not searched, she left without any problem.

-At least I did not have to be touched by anyone, and I did not even have my bag all rolled up. - She sighed in relief, walking around looking for a bus stop since she'd lost her friend's ride. - Wait, I do not have a purse. Her eyes widened in alarm at a volume hanging from her shoulder. It was small brown leather, identical to a woman who was dancing near them.

- Asshole! -she practically screamed as she opened it and saw the jewels inside her, he had no idea how he did it. Blade knew she was not being searched for being a cop, so she used it to leave the pieces without generating any suspicion. He had used it to get away, so he had called her to dance. He had everything planned, so he got close to her. he would go through security without any problem they could turn it upside down and find nothing. And now what would he do with those jewels? How would you explain to the best friend you were with? she felt used, the worst human being in the world.

-This day can´t get worse, - she muttered as she thought about what had happened that night, wanted to believe he had nothing to do with it, but the answer was obvious.

Jesse felt a chill wind touching the tip of his nose as he crossed the third block, accompanied by a raindrop. Behind that came several others, now the nostalgia moment was complete. In addition to being humiliated, with no cell phone and key, she was soaked. I knew I was stupid, I just could not imagine it was that bad. It was incredible how everyone approached her with the intention of using it. Now he had no dignity left, in a way, whether she wanted to or not, she was his accomplice. She heard a rather familiar snorting of a motor running slowly beside her, not daring to turn her face to confirm what she suspected.

-You can get sick under the rain. - His voice sounded softer, he knew she must be very angry with him.

Carter pretended not to hear, she kept walking with her head held high, looking forward.

-Do not make me go out and get you by force, investigator, that suit cost more than you earn in a year.- She could not stand it, she stopped in her rage.

-It's only in money that you think do not you, shithead? - If that's what you want to take and walk away, I never want to see you again. He tossed the purse through the hitchhiker's window, hitting him in the face, she had a good target and ran out of the street in the rain. She could hear his footsteps growing faster behind her. Jesse tried to look back, but not seeing a pile of garbage in front of him, eventually sprawled on top of her.

-Next time you send me to hell it will be you that  will stop there!

He lifted her anyway dirty and wet, dragging her into an alley next to the wall, shaking Carter's arms tightly. She was so nervous that she did not even notice how she was crying in alarm, only stopped screaming when she saw that the paint on her face had gone out, making the mark of her father's cruelty to her obvious. Blade literally paralyzed, his eyes sparking. He had never been nervous before, blood was boiling in his veins he looked like the devil himself.

- Who did this to you? - he yelled in a frightening way, ripping off her two gloves. He put his hands on his head he was out of his mind.

-No one, that's none of your business, - she said in a trembling voice, afraid of his explosion.

- Fuck off! - He punched the wall next to her face, opening a hole. She remained silent, looking away.

-Whoever did it I'll find it even in hell and kill him in the worst possible way, - he said wickedly with his dark gray eyes. By his tone he was not joking, and he was not.
