My heart fluttered at the thought of him wanting me to stay with him. I wandered down the hall toward my room and went inside, finding a pair of pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. I dried my hair off as best I could and changed into the nightclothes before walking back to Adam’s bedroom. He was still getting dressed himself, and I bit into the smile that was forming around my mouth. I’d brought the towel with me, so I hung it in his bathroom before I returned to where he was waiting.
He kissed me when I came out, and we climbed into bed together. He turned out the light and snuggled in beside me. His arm wrapped around my waist with the length of his body pressed against me. I let out a contented sigh and knew that my feelings for him were real. It wasn’t about the sex; I was falling in love with him.
