I was driving her to her place and I’d already promised to come up for a little while. I could beg off of it now, saying that I’d only agreed so that she would leave with me. She shouldn’t be driving, but it wasn’t because of that. I knew that it had nothing to do with that in the end. In the end I just wanted her and I was going to pay, I knew it as I drove the couple of miles to Lily’s place.
