Billionaire's Fake Fiancee by Eva Luxe (120)

I had a few errands to run and was just pulling into the parking lot of my office building. Benson was probably long gone, but maybe… just maybe he’d have the balls to come here so I could punch his face in.

A part of me didn’t feel the gravity of losing Gallock. But there was some hope left inside me now that I Wendy was all mine. I finally felt like I had the will to go on. Willow always told me that I could do anything with the right person next to me.

Now I knew what that meant.

I parked and got out of my car. My hips have been hurting less, and my flexibility in my hips and the strength in my legs have skyrocketed. I owed that to all the fucking I’ve been doing. Wendy knew how to bend her body.

I quieted my mind down and saw Wendy standing near the entrance waving at me. She donned a short orange pinkish dress with a golden necklace and golden bangles. A faint scent of peaches came off her, and the gentle blow of wind lifted up her dress a little.

Wendy.

Damn, the epitome of everything good in my life. And a walking aphrodisiac.

“Wendy, you’re here. I thought you were going to see your father?”

I hooked my hand around her hips and brought her in for a kiss. Her soft lips touching mine made me shiver.

“I wanted to meet you here, see the big bad office and everything,” Wendy said, tugging me inside.

I showed her the way and we took the elevator up to my floor. The steel doors opened and Mr. Johnston was at Ms. Bell’s desk. With him stood a man that had the vibe of law enforcement.

“Mr. Reign!” Ms. Bell said, popping out of her chair.

“It’s okay, I got this, Ms. Bell. Gentleman, may I help you?”

Wendy held my hand and stepped forward, right by my side. Her eyes were like sharks, staring at the two men.

“Mr. Reign,” Mr. Johnston started, “Do you know a Benson Cardwell?”

“Yes?”

Wendy’s grip on my hand tightened. And I rubbed my thumb over her fingers.

“Well, we just arrested him a few hours ago. I noticed something off about the signatures on the loan papers that were signed. They didn’t truly match yours, and I thought it was odd that contact info seemed to be redirected to someone.”

I rubbed my forehead. “Would you like to come to my office?” I asked them.

The detective spoke up, “We need to be going. But we were wondering if you wanted to pursue this further beyond what we were doing. His name isn’t even Benson Cardwell. His name is Jim Tallson.”

Benson a fraud, huh?

I wasn’t surprised. Benson was sneaky sometimes, a little too sneaky. He had potential and decided to turn the wrong way. I was mad at myself for ever thinking he was my friend. My life was headed in a new direction and I decided to wash my hands clean of him.

“No. I’m good. You can punish him to the fullest extent of the law, but I have too much going on in my life to push it any further than that. Just let me know if you need my cooperation, though.”

“Very well. It’s clear he screwed with a good man. Sorry to take your time.” The detective reached into his pocket and handed me his card. “If you should ever change your mind, call me and we can work on your case.”

He nodded to me and Wendy and worked their way around us to the elevators.

“So, that creep is gone?” Wendy whispered to me, her hand still clung to mine.

“Yes. He had potential. But you have to have more than potential. You have to be genuine…”

I brought Wendy to see the office. She was a lost kitten, curious about every little space. She glanced at my massive office desk and gave me a devilish smirk.

“If only the doors weren’t so thin,” I chuckled, in a low voice.

“What about when the office closes?” Wendy suggested, stalking over to me.

My phone rang and I sat down in my chair so I could pick it up and answer it.

“Hello, Ms. Bell.”

“Mr. Reign, a John Gallock is here to see you,” she said.

Shit. Why was he here? He had called the whole deal off.

“Sure, send him in.”

“Yes, sir,” Ms. Bell chimed, hanging up.

Wendy sat down on one of the couches in my office, and the door to my office opened.

In strode John Gallock, and he didn’t look so pleased.

“Mr. Gallock—”

He threw his hand up to interrupt me. “I need to apologize. I was notified about the news of one of your employees.”

His attention turned to Wendy. “Are you his fiancee? Real fiancee?”

She stood. “Yes, I am.” Proudly, she flashed her ring, and brilliant colors jumped off of it as the sunlight hit it.

Mr. Gallock looked pleased. He shook his head and turned to me. “I’m sorry you had to deal with such a dishonest person who almost cost you the deal of a lifetime. That is why I’m here to offer it to you again.”

Mr. Gallock held his hand out and offered it to me. “May I work with you?”

Wendy’s eyes lit up and she bounced lightly on her toes.

“No.”

Mr. Gallock’s face dropped, and I chuckled.

“Let’s work together,” I said, grabbing his hand and giving it a good shake.

“Impressive handshake, Mr. Reign. It shows me that we’re off to a good start. I’m glad you’re about to enter into holy matrimony. I’ll send you more details about what I want to do in the next coming week. But for now? Enjoy the rest of the day,” Gallock said, spinning around on his heels and striding for the door.

“Wait,” I called out.

Mr. Gallock stopped and looked over his shoulder.

“Mr. Gallock, you’re invited to the wedding.”

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

He bounced out of the office and Wendy hopped over to me.

“Getting married to you is better than just going out to the Prom, you know.” She slid onto my desk and wrapped her legs around my torso.

My cock stood at attention to her pressure.

“Is it?” I pulled her towards me more. “Good.”

My hands roamed her perfectly sculpted body then down her legs and back up her thighs where I lifted her dress and saw the lacy red thong with rhinestones she was wearing.

“Wendy?” I growled.

“What? Don’t like the thong?”

“Oh, I like it very much.” I pulled at the side of it, letting it snap back to her hips. “I just have something to tell you.”

“What?”

“That ex of yours won’t be too much of a problem anymore.”

Her face got serious and she scooted back a little so she could sit upwards. “You didn’t—did you send someone after—”

I placed a finger over her supple lips and hushed.

“No, nothing like that.” Not that I wouldn’t have, if he had tried to harm Wendy again. “I’m Sam Reign. I have contacts, and some of those contacts are detective ones.”

“So, he’s caught?”

“Yes.”

She let out a sigh of relief and crashed her hips against mine again.

“Free at last!” she sighed.

“Yeah, apparently he had a mental breakdown and told the police that you were the love of his life, but you wouldn’t give it up to him.”

“That’s true,” she said. “I had been saving it for you and I thought I could lose my virginity to him but I just wasn’t that into him. When I told him that, he said he’d never be able to get over me. I guess that’s when he turned into a true loon.”

“Yeah, he said his next girlfriend wouldn’t give it up to him, either. But I guess she met a worse fate.”

She bowed her head, and I think we were both thinking the same thing. We were sad about the fact that she didn’t make it out, while also being glad that I had.

“I love you, Sam.”

“I love you too.”

I brought her in for a kiss and savored her subtle sweet taste that rolled against my lips.

“I bet Eliza’s going to flip when she hears about what happened!” Wendy laughed.

“Believe me, she’s seen it all. She’ll just be glad that she made a real match.”

“I never thought I’d get fake married to my real first love,” she said.

I kissed her passionately, and then said, “You’re not. You’re getting real married to your real first love.”
