His Lover's Vows: Mpreg Romance (My One-Night Stand Series Book 4) by Giovanna Reaves (4)

Chapter Four

Tucker watched as Lucas left the room to get his daughter. He smiled thinking how relaxed he felt being around the other man.

Other than the other night, he hadn’t had a chance to hang out unless it was with his brother and nephew. Tucker got up, picking up the empty beer bottles and walked into the kitchen dumping them into the trash. He liked what little he’d seen so far and noticed a pattern with the entire Hamilton clan, filthy rich but don’t live or act like it.

Money didn’t dictate their standard of living and Tucker liked that about the entire family. Lucas’ home looked as inviting on the outside as it did on the inside. From what he guessed, it was a four-bedroom, three-bath brownstone. The neighborhood was so quiet he almost forgot that he was in New York. He opened the refrigerator and got a bottle of water. He needed to stay a bit sober since he still had to drive back to his hotel.

“Cheese, that’s all you want? You’re going to have to eat more than just cheese, Zoi, or at least that’s what your grandmother keeps telling me.”

Tucker leaned back against the counter and watched as Lucas walked into the kitchen with Zoi in his arms. She turned and stared at Tucker as if wondering who he was and what was he doing there in the first place. He smiled at her hoping the effect he had on her the night before lasted. It didn’t seem as if that was going to be the case. Her expression remained stoic.

What a serious kid.

He waved at her, and when he didn’t get a response, he mentally shrugged and drank more of his water. Lucas set her down, and she held onto his pants still looking at Tucker.

“I guess whatever magic I had last night wore off,” he commented.

“Don’t feel bad, she gives my parents the cold shoulder sometimes, as well.”

Tucker realized that Lucas was trying to soothe his ego as he walked over to the fridge and got a stick of cheese from the refrigerator. He opened the package giving it to Zoi, who whispered a thank you so low Tucker had to strain to hear it.

“I guess I should start dinner . . . I did promise you that,” he said looking at him.

“I could help, if you want,” Tucker said.

“You don’t have to do that,” Lucas said chuckling.

“It’s cool. And I want to,” Tucker told him truthfully. “I don’t think Zoi will be letting go of your leg anytime soon.”

“I could put her in her booster seat. I think as long as I’m close she’ll be fine. And the longer you’re around she’ll get used to you.”

“All right.”

Tucker set his water bottle down, walked over to the sink and washed his hands. Grabbing the towel resting beside the sink, he turned as he dried his hands. “What do you need me to do?” Lucas already had Zoi sitting at the table with a coloring book and a few crayons in front of her. He must have had them hidden somewhere and Tucker tried to remember if he had seen any in the immaculate kitchen.

“I already have the steaks marinating,” Lucas said. “Damn, I forgot to ask if you had any food allergies.”

“Only to horrible cooking,” Tucker said with a smile.

“Okay, good, let’s get cooking.” Lucas smiled walking over to the sink washing his hands. Tucker handed him the towel he still held in his hand, their fingers brushed together, and he felt a spark pass between them. “Thanks.”

He watched Lucas to see if he noticed but he seemed more eager to get cooking more than anything else. Why do I feel disappointed? “You seem eager,” Tucker told him.

“Ah, yeah, I get to show off my amazing cooking skills.” Lucas draped the towel over his shoulder.

“That confident in your cooking skills, are you?” Tucker chuckled.

“You’ve met my mother, right? It’s a rule that all Hamilton men know how to cook, including my dad. However, I must warn you, I like things spicy,” he said with a wink.

“Well, then, Hamilton, wow me with your magnificent skills,” Tucker said with a chuckle.

* * *

Lucas smiled while watching Tucker help Zoi color. After Tucker helped Lucas put together the salad and prepped a couple of things, Zoi’s icy demeanor started to melt. She became the lively little girl he knew, pulling Tucker’s attention from his task.

“Blue, are you sure?” Tucker asked Zoi when she gave him the crayon.

“Yes,” she said with a giggle then covered her face.

“I see you guys are having fun.”

Lucas walked over and looked over Tucker’s shoulder at what they were doing. He rested his hand on the man’s shoulder as he leaned over picking up the drawing they were coloring.

“Hey, stop interrupting us,” Tucker groused playfully grabbing at the paper, but stopped then moaned and sniffed the air and Lucas found it a bit adorable. “What am I smelling?”

“That would be the hickory chips I added to the grill,” Lucas told him. “Speaking of which I need to go and check on them.”

“Well, go ahead and handle whatever you need to do, Zoi and I got this.”

He took the paper away and for a split second Lucas was about to lean in and do what, exactly, he wasn’t sure. He stepped back and hoped Tucker did read things differently. Lucas put the action in the back of his mind and checked on the meat cooking on the grill, and they were almost done to perfection—medium-well, just the way he liked it. Taking them off the grill, he went back into the kitchen and added the seasoned butter he’d made earlier to the top of his steaks giving it more flavor.

“God, they smell good,” Tucker said from behind him.

“I see that I’ve already impressed you and you haven’t even tasted it yet.”

“Well, I’ll admit my defeat, Hamilton, if they taste as good as they smell.” Lucas didn’t turn around to look at Tucker, but he heard the smile in his tone.

“Okay, give it another few minutes, and then we can eat.” He turned and smiled when he saw Zoi reaching for Tucker. They were getting along, and Lucas had no idea why it mattered that his daughter and his friend got along.

* * *

“All right, Hamilton, I tip my hat to you. That was a wonderful dinner,” he said lifting his beer bottle to his lips taking a long swig.

Lucas stood up and took a well-deserved bow. “Thank you.”

Tucker threw his napkin at him for his silliness. “Yeah, yeah,” he said as he stood taking his dish with him, putting it in the sink. “Keep rubbing it in.”

“I tell you what, next time I’m in your neck of the woods you can wow me with your culinary skills,” Lucas said to him.

“Not gonna happen,” Tucker told him. “I will freely admit that I suck when it comes to cooking. I can pick a delicious dish from a restaurant menu.”

Lucas burst out laughing. “So now the truth comes out. You were using me for other things.”

I could use you for other things like riding my cock. Shit, where the hell did that thought come from? Tucker shrugged his shoulders admitting his defeat and ignoring the thought that popped into his head.

“I tell you what, as payback for cooking, I’ll clean up while you get Zoi ready for bed.”

“You don’t have to,” Lucas said with a blinding smile that did something to Tucker. “I can take care of it,” Lucas said to him while lifting Zoi out of her seat.

“Nah, fair is fair.” Tucker waved him off then started clearing the rest of the dishes off the table and putting them in the sink.

“All right, come on, Zoi, let’s get you ready for bed.”

Tucker looked back as Lucas walked out of the kitchen and he smiled listening to Zoi babble to her father. His eyes trailed down Lucas’ back stopping at his butt, and for a split second, his mind stuttered over the enticing thought of seeing how perfect the globes were without being covered with clothes. The same thing happened while they were playing pool. He kept watching Lucas’ every move. He was aware of the man’s presence.

From the scent of his cologne to the small dimple in his chin. It gave Tucker ideas he was sure Lucas would kick his ass if he knew what he was thinking. Tucker wasn’t sure what the hell was going on with him. Granted he hadn't spent a lot of time with the Hamiltons like Julian, but he’d never once given a thought to having a man ride his cock. He grunted when his cock jerked and showed interest at his thought once again. Furrowing his brows, Tucker turned his focus on cleaning up the kitchen, which took him no time at all. He was drying his hands when Lucas walked back into the kitchen with Zoi in his arms.

“A little someone wanted to say good night,” Lucas told him.

Tucker walked over, took Zoi out of Lucas’ arms and kissed her on the forehead, whispering good night before handing her back to her father.

“Hey, give me a few minutes to get her to sleep,” Lucas told him.

“I can leave if you want. I remember how hard it was getting Laura down to bed at that age. Sometimes Rochelle and I would sit outside her bedroom door waiting to hear her breathing even out.”

“Nope,” Lucas said to him. “She’s still tired even though she took a nap earlier. Go watch television until I get back.”

“You know, I just noticed something,” Tucker said.

“What’s that?” Lucas asked.

“You’re a bossy little sh—” Tucker caught himself remembering that Zoi was still in the room.

Lucas chuckled. “I’ve been told that a time or two. That’s one thing I got from my mother, one of her better qualities. But seriously, go and grab another beer and relax, unless you need to leave because you have somewhere to be tomorrow.”

“Nope, not until Monday,” Tucker told him.

“Then chill and relax for a bit, no sense rushing off to your hotel if you have nowhere important to be.”

Tucker nodded, and Lucas walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. He opted out on the beer but the idea just to sit back and relax for a bit sounded really good to him. Tucker picked up the TV remote before sitting down, and he flipped through the channels before settling on something to watch. He snuggled deep into the cushions getting comfortable while he waited for Lucas to return.

* * *

Tucker opened his eyes when the scent of coffee hit his nose. He looked around trying to figure out where the hell he was. Then he remembered that he was waiting for Lucas to return after putting Zoi to bed.

Shit, I must have fallen asleep.

He scrubbed his face roughly as he sat up, threw the blanket off himself and set his feet on the floor. He snapped his head quickly to the left when he heard the cutest giggle and saw Zoi standing by the sofa looking at him before she ran off in the other direction. Tucker smiled and then rubbed his eyes trying to wake up. He needed to get up, get back to his hotel and clean up. He hadn’t expected to fall asleep, but he guessed he was more tired than he thought.

“Hey.”

He looked up and saw Lucas standing beside him with Zoi standing beside his leg. He was wearing a T-shirt that stretched over his chest and slightly muscled arms and gray sweatpants. His hair wasn’t combed, and a few of his black curls hung loosely in his face touching his long dark lashes.

Why the hell am I noticing that?

“I hope she didn’t wake you?” Lucas asked.

“Nah, it was the scent of coffee, actually,” he answered. “Sorry about last night.”

“It’s no problem. You must have needed the rest,” Lucas told him. “Why don’t you go and wash your face while I get you that coffee. How do you take it, by the way?”

“Black, no sugar,” Tucker answered.

“A man after my own heart,” Lucas said with a smile.

He went to walk off when Tucker stopped him. “Um . . . where’s your extra bathroom?”

“Shoot, I didn’t give you the five-cent tour, did I?” Lucas said.

Tucker smiled. “It happens, we can’t all be perfect hosts.”

“Don’t let my mother hear you say that. All right, come on. Let me show you where everything is. But I have a rule.”

“And what’s that?” Tucker asked.

“The first time you come into my house I’ll get anything you need because you’re the guest. But the next time you walk through my front door, you’re on your own.”

“So basically, remember where everything is, then?” Tucker asked. He respected that and funnily enough, he and Rochelle had similar rules when it came to friends.

“Pretty much,” Lucas said and started walking.

Tucker looked down when tiny hands held onto one of his fingers to see Zoi looking up at him. She, to him, resembled Lucas, down to her wild curly hair that needed taming.

“Are you going to show me around instead of your daddy?” he asked her. She nodded and started walking, pulling him along. Zoi led him up the stairs following her father. They passed a couple of rooms, and Lucas pointed out Zoi’s room, decorated in pink and purple fit for a princess. Lucas pointed out his home office that was large enough to fit a king-size bed. He was directed to an extra bedroom that had a connecting bathroom.

“That used to be Tyler’s room before he got married. I let Raynebow use it when she sleeps over,” Lucas told him. “As you can see she really took it over.”

It was decorated in soft, light-blue and gray tones. He was guided to another room that was decorated in gray and white. Tucker saw a pattern—he’d noticed gray was everywhere and he wondered whose favorite color it was.

“You can use this one,” Lucas told him.

“I don’t need a bedroom just to brush my teeth and wash my face,” Tucker stated.

Lucas waved him off. “I figured you’d want to take a shower, and I can let you borrow something to wear. You’re roughly the same height and size as Tyler, and I know he left some clothes here.”

“Why do I get the feeling I’m being kidnapped for the rest of the day?” Tucker smiled at the end of his statement.

“Zoi and I decided we like you, so we’re keeping you to ourselves for the day, right, Zoi?” Lucas chuckled when Zoi’s curls bobbed up and down as she nodded and giggled as if he’d said something funny. “Got a problem with that?”

“What if I say I do?”

In truth, Tucker didn’t have a problem with sticking around for the day. All that was waiting for him was an empty hotel room and paperwork that he was trying to put off for as long as possible.

“Then we would try to convince you on the benefits of sticking around,” Lucas chuckled, and Tucker found that he enjoyed hearing the sound.

“Okay, I will take you both up on your offer to stay for the rest of the day,” he said looking down at Zoi who was still holding onto his fingers and looking up at him.

“Good,” he said nodding. “Hear that, Zoi? Uncle Tucker is going to spend the day with us again.”

“Yay,” Zoi cheered and started jumping around, curls bouncing all over her tiny face. “Uncle Tucker stay?” she continued. When she said his name, it sounded like "Twcker" instead of Tucker. It was the liveliest he’d ever seen the little girl. It had him wondering what he did to have her show him such affection.

“What did you do to my daughter?” Lucas asked him; there wasn’t any anger behind his question.

“She simply knows a good guy when she meets one,” Tucker chuckled.

“Yeah, yeah,” Lucas said as he reached a hand out to her. “Come on, baby girl, let’s go get Uncle Tuck something to wear.” Zoi ran over to him, and Lucas picked her up resting her on one of his hips. “There’s a brand-new toothbrush in the drawer to the right along with toothpaste. Also, there’s body wash in the bathroom and freshly cleaned washrags and towels warming on the rack.”

“Why do I get the feeling you had this all planned out from the beginning?” Tucker asked.

“I didn’t actually, but Rebecca and I were used to having people stay over and kept the guest rooms stocked,” Lucas explained. Tucker heard the sadness in his voice when he said his late wife’s name.

“I wish I were just as prepared as you are,” Tucker chuckled. “But then again, no one's ever stayed at my place.”

“Well, I tell you what, after the next family dinner, Zoi and I will stay at your place.”

He turned and walked away not giving Tucker a chance to object. Lucas Hamilton was something else, he was bossy and seemed to think that Tucker needed to be taken care of even if he wasn’t saying it with words. Smiling to himself, Tucker entered the bedroom and went to take his shower.

* * *

Lucas knocked on the bedroom door and waited a couple of heartbeats before entering. He heard the shower going as he entered the bedroom. Setting the clothes on the bed, he was about to leave but stopped when he heard Tucker groan, he looked in the direction of the bathroom, the door was open.

If he stepped a little to the left, he'd be able to see a silhouette of Tucker's wet rippling muscles. He was about to step to the left and froze for a second when the shower was shut off. He pulled himself together and got out of the bedroom closing the door quietly before Tucker could see him. He didn't want to think about what he was about to do: spy on Tucker while he was in the shower. He'd never wanted to see another man naked before.

So why Tucker? Fuck, I sound like some needy idiot. Hopefully, Tucker won’t see me that way. I just ran out of the bedroom like a scared kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

The night before, after putting Zoi to bed, he’d gone back to the family room and found Tucker asleep. He didn’t have the heart to wake him up and simply turned off the television, got a blanket and covered him up before going to bed as well. It was a spur-of-the-moment thought to offer, well demand, that Tucker spend the rest of the day with them.

Lucas hadn’t realized how much he needed the adult company, someone other than his brother around him, until sitting and talking with Tucker the other night. It could also be that Zoi liked him and was talking more with him than she had with anyone else. She seemed so comfortable with Tucker as if she’d known him for a long time. Maybe I’m overthinking things. He was developing a friendship with Tucker, something he’d lost over the past couple of years. After he’d met and married Rebecca, he’d stopped hanging out with friends he’d known for a while.

Rebecca was all he could think about once he got serious about her. He’d stop playing the field and went from being a playboy to a man in love. With Rebecca, he experienced what it felt like to be in love for the first time in his life. They had a connection he hadn’t had with any other woman he’d been with before her. Lucas didn’t think there was another person who he’d find that same level of connection with again.

Lucas turned when he heard Zoi’s feet thundering into the kitchen before she connected with his legs. He looked up when Tucker came into the kitchen looking and smelling refreshed. His blond hair was still wet but slicked back. Tyler’s old T-shirt looked much better on Tucker than it did on his brother. It was a bit tighter around his shoulders and stretched across his muscular chest and arms but hung loosely down to his waist where the hem of the shirt stopped.

He could see the outline of Tucker’s cock, the man must be packing something powerful the way it hung to the side. Women must walk bowlegged after they leave his bed at how big it looks. The mental image of wanting to see the man naked came back to him. Shit, did I just think that?

“What are you thinking about that has your face so red?” Tucker asked causing Lucas to snap his head up meeting the man’s eyes.

“Nothing,” he rushed out.

“Yeah, not buying it. I’m a profiler, remember,” Tucker said to him.

I was thinking how big your dick is, when I have no idea why I am. “Just wondering if you had enough hot water?”

Tucker looked at him as if searching for the truth. “It was great,” he said not calling Lucas out on his lie. “I might move in just for the shower.” He smiled, and Lucas chuckled.

“You’re always welcome,” Lucas said truthfully.

“So what are we doing today, since you both decided to take over my day?”

“Hm . . . I was thinking we could take Zoi to the park, maybe see a movie before you have to head back to your hotel. What do you think? You up for watching a movie with a bunch of kids hopped up on too much sugar they can’t sit straight?”

“The park yes, the movie is debatable,” Tucker answered. “Let’s just play the day by ear, how does that sound?”

“Sounds good actually.” And it did, Lucas was pretty sure Zoi didn’t care what they did as long as she’d get to have fun.

After they ate, he and Tucker cleaned up the kitchen before they went out to have fun. They took Zoi to the park, and instead of a movie, they took her to a kid fun zone where she pretty much ran around and wore herself out. Lucas also noticed certain looks that Tucker was getting from both men and women, and he couldn’t understand why he felt a bit jealous. It wasn’t that he didn’t get the same appreciative glances, but it irritated him when some blatantly stared at Tucker with him standing here.

“I had fun today,” Tucker said in the passenger seat beside him. “Thanks for this.”

“You’re welcome.” Lucas pulled into his driveway and killed the engine on his car. “You can always come and hang out with us whenever you want to.”

“I just might,” Tucker said as he looked in the back seat at Zoi who was sleeping from her day.

Tucker turned and looked back at Lucas, as for a split second, something in his eyes caught him off guard and then it was gone. They stared at each other for a few seconds too long before Tucker spoke. “Do you need help getting her inside?”

“Nah, I got it,” he answered.

Tucker nodded and reached for the door handle. “Good night,” he whispered, but he didn’t leave right away. They stared at each other before Tucker finally opened the door, got out, and walked to his car.

“Night,” Lucas mumbled and watched as Tucker drove off. Lucas couldn’t help feeling that something else should have happened or been said to keep Tucker from leaving.

* * *

What the fuck was that, dummy? he asked himself. “You wanted to kiss him,” he said out loud that time.

Tucker had never really thought about being with a man, but he also wasn’t disgusted with the idea either. Rochelle was the only person he’d ever been with sexually other than his own hand. Tucker never liked the idea of sleeping around, but he’d never judge someone if they did. He was a commitment guy.

Even as a kid he wanted to get married and have kids, which was what he had with Rochelle before she was taken away from him. Tucker hadn’t so much as looked at or thought about being with someone else other than Rochelle, but today after noticing the cute blush that crossed Lucas’ face he realized that he wanted to see it again and at many times, mainly while I’m fucking him. Tucker jerked the steering wheel at the thought, pulled off to the side of the road and turned on his hazard lights hoping to get back his bearings.

Where the hell did that come from?

Tucker remembered the spark of jealousy he felt when a few of the men and women were blatantly staring at Lucas. He felt like growling at a few of them and had to hold onto his emotions when he realized what was happening. But he couldn’t blame them for looking, Lucas was good-looking with his green eyes and his wild jet-black curly hair he hadn’t tamed earlier.

Add that to his slightly muscular swimmer's body that most male models would die for. He’d never been attracted to a man before but had no problem admitting when a male was good-looking. And Lucas was more than just good-looking, he was fucking gorgeous. Tucker leaned forward and rested his forehead on the steering wheel.

“Fuck, I’m attracted to him.”

Tucker was sure that Lucas hadn’t noticed his attraction. He leaned back, rested his head on the back of the seat and closed his eyes. He thought back to the past few hours and wondered if he had acted out of his character to give away his attraction and nothing came back to him. Other than him wanting to lean forward and kiss Lucas, he acted completely normal. He opened his eyes and watched as traffic zoomed by him. The question was, should he ignore his attraction or do something about it?

Chances were Lucas would laugh it off and say he was horny for not having sex with another person since his wife died, which could be the case. Or he could end their friendship when it was just getting started by saying something. Without thinking much further, Tucker knew what he was going to do. It was better to keep quiet. Other than his attraction to Lucas, he genuinely liked being around him, and Zoi had wholly won him over. Sighing, he switched off the hazard lights and slowly pulled back onto the highway. As fun and relaxing as the weekend was, he had a life to get back to.

The next month was extremely busy for Tucker; his department was busy with their new cases, and he was still coordinating with the New York branch for their training sessions and was getting ready to go back there for another week to finalize everything. The training session wasn’t for another five months or so, but some things needed to be done before then. Tucker’s cell phone vibrated on his hip telling him that he had a message. He pulled it from his hip and smiled when he saw Lucas’ name. Over the past four weeks, they’d been texting each other back and forth.

They’d even talked on the phone for hours, as well. They agreed and disagreed on every subject ranging from politics to religion. Tucker had opened up about him and Rochelle and how her death affected him. He’d kept the part about talking to her ghost to himself not wanting to sound crazy.

Lucas was enlightening to talk to, and Tucker found his attraction to the man growing stronger. He opened the message and smiled when he saw the cat sitting on a chair with bars, its paws were hanging over them, and the poor thing was looking back at him with a message that said, "I’m bored, do something funny to entertain me."

Tucker: Shouldn’t you be in meetings trying to take over the world or something?”

Lucas: Meh, I had to put off world domination for another day or so, I’m working from home.

Tucker: Why?

His phone rang, and Lucas’ name popped up. He swiped his thumb over the screen and answered it.

“Zoi's sick,” he said before Tucker could say hello.

“What’s wrong, is she okay?” he asked worriedly.

“Yeah, yeah, it’s just a cold and a slight fever. She should be fine tomorrow, but she’s not a happy camper. Neither am I for that matter.”

“I can understand not wanting to deal with a sick baby,” Tucker sympathized. “She will be fine and you will be too.”

“Yeah, I know,” Lucas sighed.

They were silent for a few seconds, and Tucker hated when there was a lull in their conversation. “Hey, I’m going to be in New York for a week,” he said breaking the silence.

“Yeah,” Lucas said. “Are you staying at the same hotel?”

“I planned on it. Unless you’re inviting me to stay with you. And cook more of those delicious meals for me.” Tucker mentally winced when he realized he’d put his foot in his mouth.

“Why the hell not, I have the extra room and no sense for you to spend money if you don’t have to, even if it’s the government's,” Lucas rushed out.

“You don’t have to, I was only kidding,” Tucker said quickly.

“Well, I’m not,” Lucas told him. “I mean, I’m not going to kidnap you this time.”

Tucker smiled. “All right, pencil me in for next week. But promise me one thing,” he said.

“What’s that?”

“I get to take you out to dinner one of those nights,” Tucker said and hoped to all heaven, if it was real, that Lucas didn’t read his true intentions.

“Um . . . sure why not, I could even get Tyler to watch Zoi, he owes me one,” Lucas said. “I think I deserve a night out with a friend, to be an adult for a bit.”

There was that word "friend," meaning Lucas didn’t read into it and wouldn't see it as a date. “Cool, I’ll see you next week then.”

They hung up, and Tucker leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. One whole week off living with Lucas was going to wreak havoc on his restraints. He’d long given up trying to hold back his attraction for the other man, and there was no use hiding it. However, he had no intention of following through with his attraction. Tucker’s cock hardened thinking about the dream he had about fucking Lucas and hearing his name whispered on his lips.

Tucker had questioned if he was reading too much into things. He had to make sure that his sudden attraction for Lucas wasn’t from loneliness since he hadn’t dated since his wife died. Tucker had given in and went out to dinner with Winter Parish, the district attorney that had been asking him out for the past three years. He’d figured she’d have given up the first five times she asked him, and he said no, but she never did. When she asked him out this time, he surprised her by saying yes.

“I’m surprised you said yes to my date proposal this time, did you lose a bet or something?” Winter asked from where she was sitting across from him. Winter was beautiful, but Tucker was finding out she wasn’t his type.

“Nothing like that, it’s been a while since I’ve been out on a date and you asked.”

“So am I a pity or rebound date?”

Both, he thought but instead said, “Neither, so tell me something I don’t know about you.”

She took a sip of her wine looking at him over the rim of her glass. She set it down to answer him, and that was when their meal arrived. The rest of their date was filled with mostly silence, and they’d ended up skipping dessert and going their separate ways. A couple of nights later, he’d had the thought that since he was attracted to Lucas, maybe he didn’t find women interesting anymore and decided to visit a gay bar.

That was another disaster. The entire bar was filled with good-looking men, but none of them appealed to him. Even when he was approached and someone asked him to dance, he turned them down. He’d been out of the dating scene for so long, he wondered if he was doing something wrong or looking for something that wasn’t there.

After three hours of sitting at the bar not talking to anyone and nursing his soda, Tucker went home. He’d gotten a call from Lucas while he was in the club but hadn’t felt his cell phone vibrate. When he saw how late it was, he’d listened to the message Lucas had left the next morning and his cock hardened at the sound of the man’s voice; that pretty much sealed it for Tucker. He wasn’t attracted to anyone but Lucas and he wanted the man.
