Her eyes close and a small smile comes to her lips. “I need time. It’s too easy to fall back into the same routine. You need to earn my trust back and it’s just been too fast.”
“I understand but Soph… you need to realize I’m not going anywhere.”
“Okay… just give me time.”
She falls asleep as I gently rub my hand up and down her arm. I will get her trust back if it’s the last thing I do. Nothing will rip my boy and Sophie from me and it’s time I let that be known.
