CHAPTER 16
Sophie
I’m staring out the window at the view below as Vegas comes into sight. “God it’s beautiful.”
A hand creeps up my thigh sending a shiver up my spine. “Not as beautiful as you.”
Kyle gently places a kiss at the corner of my mouth that makes me smile. When I turn and look at him his smile is so big all his teeth are showing.
“Did you win?” He’s been in the back of the plane with his brothers playing video games.
“Nope. I was distracted.”
“Distracted?”
“Yup. How am I expected to concentrate and take my men through battle when a hot sexy thing I was inside not even five hours ago is sitting all by her lonesome?”
“Um…” I can’t formulate a sentence. He was inside me just a few hours ago and it was fantastic. I’m still slightly sore… but in the best way.
“Meet me in the bathroom.”
“Pardon? The bathroom?” He must be confusing me with some common hussy.
“You heard me babe. When I knock on the bathroom door in ten minutes your sweet ass better be in there.” With that, he gets out of his seat and leaves me.
“Oh no.” I mumble to myself. We can’t do it on the airplane, people are on here with us! His family! I’ve seen the looks they’ve been giving us all morning, more than likely they know somethings up. But they don’t know we’re officially together giving this whole thing a try.
I know I’m a horrible person for not telling the girls about me and Kyle. But I wanted to figure out our dynamic before we made everything official.
Light Bulb!
It may not be my best idea but after a few nips of vodka your choices become dicey at best. My eyes scan the plane trying to locate Ash and Savvy as I stand up. They’re off on one side of the plane talking in hushed tones and when I approach they go silent.
“Stop talking about me and do as I say. Come with me.”
They both stand up hesitantly but follow me to the back of the plane. When we get to the door I open it and gesture with my arm for them to go inside.
“I get the buddy system and all that jazz but we’re not in public and it’s tiny in there.” Savvy’s nose scrunches letting me know she’s not enthused one bit about this situation.
“If you ladies get in there, I’ll…” I think on it a second. “I’ll tell you what you want to know.”
“All of it?” Ash narrows her eyes.
“All of it.” I promise.
After a second they both enter the bathroom. I enter last and lock the door behind me. Trying to maneuver around is tough, it is freaking small in here.
“You’d think on a private jet they’d spring for a larger bathroom.”
“Some have larger ones.” Savvy shrugs.
“Spill it girl. Why are we crammed like sardines in the freaking bathroom? Sav, don’t you feel like we’re in the bathroom a lot together?” Ashlyn questions.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She’s looking everywhere but at Ash.
“Me and Kyle are together and we had sex at the gym last night!” I blurt out. It’s great telling people other than the guy that was also there. A weight’s been lifted off my shoulders.
“Whoa! Like full-on sex?”
“What the hell is half-sex Savvy?” I laugh.
“I don’t know but Kyle doesn’t come off as a sexual human being to me.” She shrugs again.
“Well, it was full-on sex and it was amazing. It was so full-on it happened four times.” I wiggle four of my fingers to drive the point across.
Ash looks at Savvy approvingly. “It’s a Cage thing.”
“Ugh, don’t. I grew up with them all and I don’t need to know about their sexual stamina.”
“Well, okay then. I still don’t get why we’re in the bathroom.” Savvy tries moving over but gives up when she hits a wall.
“Kyle told me to meet him in here to get down to business.”
“And the problem is?” Ash asks like I’m a few fries short of a happy meal.
“The problem is, we made love last night and I haven’t had time to process it all yet. I mean I’ve processed but we’re not out yet and now he wants to have bathroom sex. Sex that will place me in a certain club because we’re on an airplane. Sex in a place where family is just a few feet away. Sex where people can hear me!”
“She’s freaking out.” Savvy states.
“Completely. You had sex for the first time in years, so what? Go with it and process later.” Ash agrees.
“It wasn’t the first time… just the first time after we decided to be an us. Didn’t you hear me? The first time we made love!”
“You’ve been holding out on us!” They yell in unison.
Knock, Knock, Knock
“One minute.” I yell out in a horrible foreign accent that’s a cross between Borat and Jamaican.
“Open the door babe, I have a surprise for you.”
“He’s gonna dirty talk through the door. We need to get out of here!” Savvy whisper yells.
“I don’t know. I’d like to see what the sly dog has in his vault.” She clears her throat and throws a little southern twang in, “What’re ya gonna do to me?”
Eyes bulging, I look at her in disbelief. But immediately die of laughter. “I don’t sound like that you bitch!”
“Who the fucks in there?”
“Busted!” Savvy and Ash yell together.
I hang my head in shame before unlocking and opening the door. When Kyle gets a glimpse inside I can tell he’s trying to hold back his laughter.
“Ladies, you have five seconds to evacuate or else you’re gonna get a show.”
“Sorry Soph, we’re outta here!” They run out of the bathroom like it’s on fire.
“Traitors!”
“You’ll thank us later!” Ash yells while laughing.
Kyle’s looking back at the girls and when his head turns to me if I didn’t know what was about to go down I’d know now. If one look could make me orgasm it’s this one. His eyes are heavy and boring into my own with his mouth hitched up on one side in the sexiest freaking smirk. I can’t take it so I grab him by the collar and pull him into the bathroom. My back crashes into the wall and Kyle crashes into me. I don’t get a breath out before his lips are against mine rough and demanding.
He pulls back with his breath heaving. “You scared of me?”
“Not even a little… now kiss me.” I try to pull him to me but he resists.
“You aren’t stupid. I know this is a big deal, that we aren’t just two people entering into a relationship. Everything we do can affect Gabe and just know the last thing I ever want to do is hurt our son. Hurt you. I know there’s a lot of pain from the past, most of it caused by me. But this is me and you moving on. Starting a life for our family. I’ve been trying to convince you this is a good idea for weeks. Are you really with me?” He’s at eye level staring into my yes. Seeing if he can sense any hesitation and there’s no chance he’ll see any.
“I’m in this 100% with you. We’ll figure out the dynamic as we go. But for now, make love to me Kyle.”
He groans out loud before pulling the top of my strapless dress down exposing my breasts. Once his mouth descends upon my nipples we’re a flurry of tangled limbs and clothes being shoved aside before he’s pushing inside of me as I’m bent over the tiny sink.
“Fuck, I’ll never tire of this feeling.”
He pounds and pounds until I’m screaming out my climax. Planting tiny kisses all over my face leaves me in a puddle all over the floor and obviously impairs my thinking process because before I know it I’m blurting out, “I love you!”
He freezes, no more movements. No more kisses or sweet caresses. Crap, I just screwed this up. Now I need to do damage control.
“Wait, I meant…”
“Don’t take it back. Don’t you dare take it back and ruin this moment for me.” His eyes close and the pained look on his face nearly does me in. When they open, the emotions swirling say so much more than words. I know in that moment Kyle loves me too.
“I love you so much Soph. Christ, do you know how many times over the past few years that I imagined being with you again. Hearing those words coming out of that sweet mouth? How did I get so lucky? I haven’t been the best person, how the hell did I get a second chance?”
I place both hands on either side of his face and stare right back at him. “You deserve so much. So much. We all make mistakes but it’s what we do to make it right. We’ve lost enough time and now that’s all behind us. I’m telling you right here right now. It’s behind us.”
“Behind us.” He repeats and I can’t help but smile.
After righting our clothes, we exit the bathroom to applause. It’s short lived when Zander and Josh take one look at me and turn around fast as lightning.
Savvy and Ash start laughing. “Girl your tit’s out!”
I look down and there it is, my right boob is out for the whole world to see. “Jesus!” I turn around into Kyle and pull my dress up.
“You saw nothing! Those are child feeding nipples and that’s how you’ll think of them!” Kyle yells.
I can’t help but laugh. “Child feeding nipples. I didn’t even breastfeed.”
“You didn’t?” He questions.
“No. My milk never came in but the idea never thrilled me. Gabe was bottle fed.”
That look of pain crosses over his face that’s been there so many times before when I mention something from either my pregnancy or when Gabe was younger.
“Hey Kyle. Do you want kids someday?”
“Um… I thought we already had one.” He looks confused.
“I know that. I’m talking about more.”
“You know I never thought about it. But my gut instinct says yes. I’d love nothing more than to have lots of babies with you Sophie Frankel. See your body change, watch you feed our babies with a bottle.” He laughs.
“Good answer Casanova.”
