Chapter 11

CAPTAIN ANKON

I was surprised when Avery came to me with a plan of escape. I thought she thought nothing of me. After I was greeted by the council and I told them about the rebel base, they began to take blood from me. It pissed me off. What could I do? I was a Kalazaron captive. I knew that it was justice, justice for all the humans that we had taken captive on our planet. Therefore, I could not exactly be too angry about it because I was after all half human.

A means to escape had always been on my mind, but I never suspected that it would happen so soon. It was my plan all along to seduce Avery into helping me escape, and that's exactly what was happening. Though I felt like it was not a result of my seduction. It was something else. I wanted her, and she wanted me, but it was not love. Was it? We had a great desire and lust for each other, but I could not love a human female, or so I thought.

Then the moment that Captain Holt came into my quarters and began to yell at her, I became a defensive warrior. A warrior that was defending his female. I had seen it many times before at the rebel base, but I had never subjected myself to harm’s way in order to protect the female, whether it be human or Kalazaron. Yet I was doing exactly that for Avery Jones. Damn it. It was a struggle on the inside. My human side and my Kalazaron inside had always been at odds, and now I was at odds for a human female.

When the words spilled out of my mouth, come with me, I was shocked. I had no control in that moment. I was lost in lust for this human female. In the moment, I was no longer looking at her ample tits. I wasn't imagining my hard cock in her mouth. No, I was just thinking of her and not wanting to lose her company.

Over the months on the trip to Earth, I had grown used to our conversations and her company. Now on Earth I looked forward to seeing her as well. So when she spoke of me leaving Earth back to Kaethon, I knew in that moment that I did not want to leave without her. The invitation for her to come with me spilled out of my mouth before I understood what I was saying. Could I really take a human female with me? What if my feelings were temporary, and I robbed her of her Earth life to live on Kaethon with me? Only to cast her aside when my feelings had left me? No, I could not do that to her. Perhaps I spoke too soon and I would have to rescind that invitation. It was better for her to stay on her own planet. What could I offer her of mine other than my attention, and even that could be fleeting? I did not know myself. This is the way it had always been growing up hybrid.

I would have to tell her not to come with me. I would have to tell her that I was not good for her. But she could not give up her Earth life for me. This was just a fleeting emotional exchange between us, and not real.

The day came. I was ready. It was now or never. I was leaving twenty of my warriors behind, but I knew that once I was back at the Blue Mountain base, I could open negotiations with the humans as they had first requested and maybe get the warriors back. I was not doing them any good by being a prisoner and a science experiment. At least back on the base, I could help secure their return.

"Are you sure you have studied? You know how to fly the ship?" she said to me nervously while we were inside my ship completing the research notes as we had done for the last few days.

"Yes, I am confident. I am ready."

"The ship that I pointed out to you on our walk here today, that is the ship that we will be taking. It is not guarded today. Ships leave this port on such a regular basis, almost every 30 minutes. It is a main port and the ship departure will go unnoticed. We are going to walk out of the ship and I am going to tell the guard posted that we are walking around the outside of the ship to gather detailed notes. He will not follow us. And as we go around to the backside of the ship, we will walk away unnoticed."

"Yes, I am ready," I said to her.

We walked out of the ship speaking about the terminology and the structure of the ship while Avery took down what I said.

She nodded to the guard casually and said, "We are taking notes on the outside structure of the ship." Then she looked at me and said, "Let us start at the head of the ship and work our way towards the back." We continued to talk casually and the guard stayed posted at the door.

"Go now. This way," she said as she walked in a straight line in front of my ship to a smaller ship. It had worked; the guard did not follow us or even notice our disappearance. We both boarded the small Earth ship. I began to make the preparations and flipped the switches. As I did so, I knew I had to tell her, "You cannot come with me, Avery. It is not your place. You must stay here on Earth."

"What?! I want to come. I want to be with you."

"No, you do not. It is merely a trick of the mind. The dreams that I give you, they are projections meant to seduce you and manipulate you into wanting me. I did it all because I knew that I could convince you to help me escape. You must stay here."

She walked over to me and slapped me in the face. It was unexpected but justified. "Good, be angry with me. Hate me. It would help you to forget me. You must stay here," I said to her again.

"It was not only your dreams that drove me to wanting you. I have always wanted you. I have always been fascinated by the Kalazaron. Then, when I saw you when we first took your ship, in that moment I wanted you. You had not given me dreams at that point. That was all me. When I would talk to you, our conversations, I wanted you and you had not yet given me the dreams. That was all me. You're doubting yourself, as you always have: a circumstance of being a hybrid. I know you. I know what you are doing."

"Hey! Who's in that ship?" we heard a voice shout from the outside.

"Go! Fire it up; go now!" she shouted as she closed the door of the ship with her still inside. I fired the ship and she buckled in. Within seconds, we were shooting out of the port into space. There was no turning back now. She was stuck with me.

Hours later, we were in space and headed toward the planet of Kaethon.

"You are sure that it is 24 hours before they will launch a tracking ship?" I asked her as I moved at the controls.

"Yes, there are many rules and regulations and they need permissions in order to launch such a mission. First of all, it will be hours before they figure out who has taken the ship, then add that onto the 24 hours it will take for them to launch a ship if they decide it is worth tracking."

"That is enough time. I have disabled the tracking system so they would have to find us in a vision field and that is not an easy task, even though they know our destination."

We were silent for a time and then she finally said, "Why did you change your mind? Why do you not want me here with you? Why did you say such things?"

I put the ship on auto pilot, double checking the coordinates for Kaethon. I had to tell her. I had to tell her what I did not want to tell her the entire time that I had known her. I moved over to her and grabbed her hand and said, "Avery, you will never understand me unless you know where I come from."

"I am listening Ankon. You can tell me anything," she said in a comforting whisper. I wanted to take her in to my arms and kiss her and make her mine, but I needed to explain first.

"My mother, as you know, was a human female. She was a fierce warrior. Her ship was a military ship from Earth that was captured by the rebels, captured by my father, Jaylin Brackin. My mother’s name was Serena Swands. They are gone now, but they were passionately in love. Their love resulted in me. My mother is one of the few human females on Kaethon that has become pregnant by a Kalazaron. It is rare."

She gasped, "I know of that ship. It is one of the many that I had studied. But we do not know exactly what happened. We lost all contact after a brief emergency transmission that took hours to reach Earth."

"Yes, my mother told me what happened to the ship. My father and his warriors took all the weapons and her with a few other females. They left the human males on the ship. Then they blew it up."

Avery gasped in horror. "That is awful. That is sad. It is so brutal," she said, pulling away from me. I could see that she was seeing the Kalazaron side of me. The same Kalazaron side that blew up the human males as we thought of them as useless.

"My mother hated my father for it for a very long time. Then eventually, they fell in love. It is a complicated story. But I have been a hybrid all my life and it has not been easy for me. I am accepted amongst the rebel Kalazaron, but I am always seen as weaker because I am half human. It has plagued me. Because of this, I had vowed to myself that I would never fall in love with a human female. That I would never have an offspring with a human female that would be more human than Kalazaron. Then the offspring would have to go through everything that I went through.”

“My god, Ankon. This is so hard for me to hear. What can I do with myself?” she said as she began to shake with sorrow. I could not take it anymore. I pulled her into my arms. I kissed her shaking lips. I pressed my hands against her lower back and pulled her toward me. Damn, what was I doing to this human? I wanted her. I wanted her even against the vow that I had made to myself never to fall for a human female. But I was gone. I was a captured Kalazaron and she had me, this smart human female named Avery Jones.
