I roll her to the side, pulling out of her and we collapse in a satiated tangle of limbs catching our breath.
"Happy birthday, babe, you just gave me the best present, and I don't mean the incredible sex. I mean seeing you happy and healthy, but let's face it, the sex was incredible." With her cheeks flushed, and her baby bump floating up and down she slows her breathing.
"Happy birthday, Edge, I love you so much." She links her fingers with mine. I don't know how I went without her these past weeks. I don't think I can walk away again until this fucktard gets caught. "I think I need a shower." She giggles, her body sweaty from our fucking.
"I think we both do. I can run you a bath if you prefer." I hope she picks the tub; I want to spoil her.
“Only if you have one with me?” My little minx is a confident woman now.
“Stay where you are and let me take a quick shower first, and then I’ll run us a bath. Then I think we should make an appearance downstairs.”
Her hand cups her mouth. “Ooh…” And her face turns rosier.
“Yes, ooh. They’re not stupid; they know what we’ve been doing.” The music has now been turned down to a reasonable decibel. “Anybody embarrasses you… they know they’ll have me to deal with.” I roll over and kiss her. “I’m just gonna go get clean.” She yawns and nods.

I come back into the bedroom, a white towel secured around my hips to find my girl curled up naked, softly snoring where I left her on top of the covers. I've worn her out.
I decide she needs a warm blanket and a washcloth. I head on out the door to find somebody who can help me and bump into Phoenix when I turn the corner.
"Hey, you um need something after that um…" She twirls her pointer finger in the air like it can finish off the sentence for her. I've not seen Phoenix ever stumble over her words before, but she is tripping.
Slade comes up behind her and gently shifts her to the side. “Hey, you look like you need some clothes or…?” He also leaves the sentence unfinished.
"Blanket and washcloths," I fill in the blanks. Slade disappears and comes back holding two of each. "Thanks, I'll be down shortly, she's taking a nap."
Tucker appears behind Phoenix, and Slade and I both grumble in unison. “Hey—”
I turn on my heel and walk back to Whisper. Sometimes it’s best not to say anything if you’ve got nothing nice to say.
I clean up my girl as best I can and then get her between the sheets before pulling off the quilt and replacing it with the warm blankets.
I looked down at her peacefully sleeping and think ‘this was the life I’ve been waiting for.’
I get dressed and roll up the quilt. Laundry needed doing while she slept. I head downstairs to locate the washing machine just as another song starts up I Just Had Sex by The Lonely Island and Akon.
I can’t help laughing and shaking my head. Tucker plays the fool well.
The house is empty, so I head out the front and find them all smirking and pretending I’m not standing there.
“Tucker…really?” I point to the sky. “You’re lucky she’s sleeping. You embarrass her… pay the price,” I remind him.
Tucker goes to shoot his mouth off, he’s obviously got a problem when it comes to poking the bear, and I kinda wanted him to try it because I knew he wouldn’t do it again. He wisely accepted the sharp jab to his side Hazard elbowed him on an oooph and thought better of it.
I want to give Whisper her birthday present, but she needs her rest more. Tonight was gonna be special, and nothing was gonna mess it up.
Just quietly, this ring is burning a hole in my pocket.
