Toni watched Dimitri strip out of his clothes as though he were in a race to do so. The soft glow of the lamp painted his body in shadows that lovingly touched every dip and groove of his body. “I don’t know what to say.” She wrapped an arm around him and held him so tightly that he felt as if her actions were doing the talking for her.
Dimitri sighed, searching for the right words. “Perhaps the only question to ask yourself is, what do you really want to do with your life. If you had no crazy situation with your father’s death. If you weren’t obsessed with finding out what happened to your mother. If you could just be. What would you do?”
“I’m not sure I know.”
He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Then maybe its time to find out.”
