Maniac by Nina Auril (4)

Quinn

“It was so good, Noah. He was amazing. Our time together…” I trail off, still glowing from the memories of my time with Erik. “He makes me feel like a princess, treating me like I’m something very precious that he’s afraid of hurting. He’s my Prince Charming.”

“Your time together was too short,” Noah snorts, bringing me out of my daydreaming.

“It wasn’t short,” I protest.

“Quinn, you two have been apart from each other for two years. And you spent like three hours together, which makes me think poorly of his talent in bed, and then you came home to sleep. What kind of boyfriend does that?” Noah sips from his beer, looking smug after making his point.

I glare at him, “You’re being a jerk.”

“No, I’m having your back, girl. Good sex is important, and you’re not getting enough of that.”

“My sex life is perfectly fine, Noah. Thank you very much. But what Erik and I have is more than sex. He doesn’t just think about getting into my panties; he cares about me. He loves me.”

“Baby, someone can love you and give you enough attention at the same time,” he points out.

I groan. “Why do you think he doesn’t? I’m happy and pretty satisfied with him.”

He rolls his eyes at me “I’m sure that boyfriend of yours doesn’t even know how to eat pussy properly.”

“Your point is?” I interrupt him before he can go into details; because knowing Noah, I’m very sure that he’d go into the details of what good oral sex is, again.

“My point is… you should dump that bastard. And maybe go fuck that hottie at the bar… oh, no. He’s coming toward us,” Noah says. His eyes roam over whoever is beside me. I know that look.

I turn to look at the guy. His eyes trace over my body without even trying to hide it. He focuses on my tits a few seconds longer than he should before finally making eye contact with me.

“Hi, balloon girl,” he says, smiling a flirtatious smile.

He’s huge. So tall that I have to crane my neck to see his face. He’s also loaded with bulging muscles. I feel so petite as he towers over me. He is wearing dark jeans and a simple grey hoodie with a beanie on his head. He looks slightly familiar, but I can’t place him.

“Hi…” I murmur.

Balloon girl? Why did he call me that? Such a strange nickname to give a girl. Balloon… Ahh, now I remember.

“Do you know him?” Noah asks me. “Damn, I wouldn’t mind fucking you, mate,” he adds, and I don’t know if I should blush or laugh. I snort.

The guy chuckles and winks at Noah. “Thanks, buddy. I’m flattered,” he says before turning to me, “See, balloon girl? Your friend wants to fuck me.”

I smile, can’t help myself. Noah’s humor isn’t appreciated by most. It’s one of the reasons why Erik and Noah don’t get along well. But I’m so glad this guy didn’t even bat an eyelash.

Noah outstretches his hand above my head. “I’m Noah.”

“Great to meet ya. I’m Alex.” They shake hands before Alex focuses on me. “And you are?”

“Quinn,” I murmur.

Alex sits next to me, murmuring my name to himself like it’s an answer to a question he’s always had. He’s a strange guy.

“It suits you. You definitely look like a queen to me,” he says, licking his lips as his eyes move over my face and my cleavage.

I frown at first, but then smile nonetheless.

“Your hair is a total eye-catcher. Do you think that color would suit me?” he asks, causing me to laugh.

“Yeah, it would make your eyes pop,” I say, still giggling. He’s such a goofy guy.

“So, you’re new around here,” he drags out.

“Yeah. Transferred.”

“What are you studying? Does it have anything to do with dance?” he says but continues before I have a chance to answer. “Cause damn, this body…”

He trails off when I quirk an eyebrow.

“Well, I mean you really look so good and flexible… I mean curvy. Fuck. I should stop talking now.”

I laugh at him. “I’m studying Psychology,” I answer and help him out of his misery.

He nods and keeps looking at me. I exchange a glance with Noah, and he just shakes his head as an answer. His eyes amused as he looks back and forth between Alex and me.

Finally, Alex turns his body toward me and places his arms behind my chair’s back, caging me. I glance at Noah again, but he’s too distracted by the muscles on Alex’s arm to notice my discomfort.

“So, Quinn,” Alex starts.

I turn to face him, quirking my eyebrow in question.

“How about you go out with me tomorrow night?”

“What?” I blurt out with surprise, and add “I can’t. I told you I have a boyfriend.”

He smirks. “So, you do remember me?”

“Well, yeah. Not every guy I meet tells me that dinosaurs exist.”

That earns me a laugh. “I like you, balloon girl,” he says still chuckling, causing me to frown before he stands up.

“Well, okay. Maybe next time,” he tells me and shakes Noah’s hand again before leaving the bar without a second glance.

“Fuck me, that was intense. Just being in the same air with him made me hard,” Noah murmurs. I can’t blame him. Alex is good-looking I will give him that.

“You should bone that guy, all night,” Noah says. “I would go out with him if I were you.”

I shake my head, turning to face with Noah. “I have a boyfriend, Noah. Remember?”

He rolls his eyes. “Okay, but what if you didn’t? Can we just acknowledge that he looks like some kind of dirty sex god?”

I snort at his description. “He’s not my type. Too forward for my liking and too rough around the edges.”

“Hah, but they sure don’t make them like that where we come from. All hot with muscles in all the right places. He’s even bigger than me, and for once I wouldn’t mind being his toy.”

I laugh, but he’s right. Alex is hot. He’s built like a tree; tall, strong with big muscles, with kind of a dangerous vibe along the edges. But he’s also the silliest guy I’ve ever met; it’s almost too opposite next to the way he looks. He’s not really ‘not-my-type,’ he’s just… I don’t know how to put it.

I shake my head, laughing at myself and the unnecessary time I put into that stranger. “Can we not talk about him? And maybe go back home? I had a couple drinks too many.”

“Sure, doll. Let’s go. No one here looks good enough after that piece of work anyway,” Noah says, chugging back his beer before we leave the bar.

When we come home, I check my phone. There’s a text from Erik, letting me know to meet with him at the frat tomorrow for a party. I don’t know about the party, and I’m not so keen on it since it was too noisy for me the last time, but I don’t want to miss the chance to spend time with my boyfriend.
