Going Commando (Heathens Ink Book 2) by K.M. Neuhold (22)

Zade

Royal rushes around the house wiping down things that are already clean and straightening random items every few seconds.

“Everything is going to be fine,” I assure him. “The lady from DCFS is going to see how loved and cared for Liam is here and she’s going to approve you in a heartbeat.”

Liam’s sitting on the couch, nervously chewing his thumbnail and glancing out the front window.

“Seriously, Liam, there’s nothing to worry about. You and your brother need to chill.”

A knock at the front door causes all the blood to drain from Royal’s face. Liam quickly pulls his finger out of his mouth, wipes it off on his shirt, and sits up straight like he’s about to meet with the principal.

Nash takes the bullet and goes to answer the door while Royal straightens the couch cushions one final time.

The woman who follows Nash back into the living room look...severe. The principal analogy probably isn’t far off if the pinch of her lips is any indication. She’s wearing a shit brown suit, hair pulled up in a tight bun on the top of her head, and the bony fingers she has wrapped around the strap of her shoulder bag look as though they’d be more at home around a ruler used for whacking children who step out of line.

“Hi, you must be Denise Karver,” Royal says, stepping forward with his hand outstretched. “I’m Royal.”

Her frown deepens.

“The official paperwork says your name is-”

“Yes,” Royal jumps to cut her off before she can reveal the damn name I’ve been wondering about for months now. “I go by Royal now.”

“Of course,” she says the words with distaste as her eyes roam over Royal’s tattoos.  “Would you care to show me around?”

Royal pastes on a smile and starts the tour, while Nash, Liam, and I hang back silently.

“We know it’s a little small, but we’re looking at bigger places so we won’t be here much longer,” Royal assures her as he points out Liam’s bedroom, then the bathroom.

“The other room is your bedroom?” Denise asks.

“Yes. Well, our bedroom,” Royal corrects, gesturing toward Nash and myself.

Denise’s expression morphs from the low-level distaste she’s had since walking in, to full horror.

“The three of you men are sharing a bedroom?”

“Yes?” Royal looks back at Nash and myself with confusion. Obviously, we’re not oblivious to the fact that some people might not be down with homosexuality, let alone polyamory, but Jim assured us the state couldn’t deny custody based on this.

The rest of the visit seems straightforward. Denise asks some questions about what school we planned to send Liam to, finances, all things that seemed relevant enough.

The second she’s out the door Royal hits full panic mode.

“She hated me,” he laments. “Did you see the way she was glaring at my tattoos, like I’m in a biker gang? And, fuck, I shouldn’t have said anything about the two of you. It wasn’t like she was asking, or was relevant at all. I fucked everything up.”

“It doesn’t matter if she liked you or not. What matters is the house is clean and suitable, you have enough money to take care of Liam, and you’ve shown responsibility by holding a stable job for years,” I reason, putting my arm over Liam’s shoulders to reassure him, while Nash pulls Royal into a hug. “I’ll call Jim, he’ll tell you the same.”

I pull out my phone and dial our lawyer, who backs up everything I’ve told Royal but adds that he’ll be ready to launch an appeal on the basis of discrimination if necessary.”

“I have an idea, why don’t we go to that frozen yogurt place and load up on that for dinner,” Nash suggests.

“Who are you and what have you done with Nash?” Royal teases.

“As long as you put some of the fruit toppings on it, it’s healthy.”

“Can’t argue with that logic,” I agree.

Nash

Dead tired after a long ass day of back to back appointments, I step through the door to find the house eerily quiet. After the DCFS visit yesterday I’m wondering if Royal has spent the whole day worrying himself sick.

“Hello?” I call out.

When no one responds I step into the living room, half worried about what kind of crazy shenanigans Royal and Zade have likely dreamed up. I’m always a little worried when I work and Royal doesn’t because there’s never any telling what those guys will find to entertain themselves.

What I find in the living room is a large, colorful water gun on the coffee table with a note.

Fucking hell.

I step forward wary of being soaked at any moment by one of them leaping out from their hiding spot before I can even reach my weapon. When I reach the table I grab the gun and start pumping it up as I look down at the note that contains just two words. Game on.

When our bedroom door creaks open, I’m ready for it.

Royal and Zade, never subtle, run out of the room shouting and firing water at me, Liam bringing up the rear with two small water pistols of his own.

“Three against one? Not fair,” I complain as I blast them with water, crouching to try to use the couch as a shield.

“All’s fair in love and water wars,” Zade declares before vaulting over the couch and squirting me right in the face.

“Liam, I’ll buy you a computer for your bedroom if you join my team.”

“Deal!” Liam immediately turns on Royal and starts spraying him.

Twenty minutes later we all collapse on the living room floor, soaked and exhausted.

“How much of our stuff now has irreparable water damage?”

“You owe me five bucks, told you that’d be his first concern,” Royal crows, nudging Zade with his foot.

“Don’t worry, we put anything that would be seriously ruined in the bedroom so it would be safe,” Zade assures me.

“Thank you.”

Royal

After we get dried off from our water fight, the four of us sit down to dinner.

“We have an appointment with a realtor tomorrow to look at a few houses,” Zade reminds me.

I reach over and squeeze Zade’s hand. I don’t know how I would’ve done all this without my men. There’s an overwhelming amount of shit that needs to get done, but they’ve been on top of everything right along with me.

“We should make sure that the place we get has a yard, in case we want to get a dog,” Liam says casually.

“Who said anything about a dog?” Zade crooks an eyebrow at him.

I stifle a laugh at his bad cop act. I’ve seen the guy melt over puppies, he would probably squeal like a twelve-year-old girl if we got a dog.

“You’re not a real family until you have a pet,” Liam points out.

“Airtight logic,” I agree with a nod.

“We’ll think about it,” Nash amends, shooting me a look that tells me not to over-promise.

“Yes, listen to daddy,” I say with mock seriousness.

Zade waggles his eyebrows at my calling Nash ‘daddy’. I’ll have to let Nash know how crazy it would drive Zade to hear his stern ‘daddy voice’ in bed. A spanking probably wouldn’t hurt either.

I squirm in my seat as my dick gets hard at the image of Nash bossing Zade around in bed, and fucking him so good.

“Thanks for dinner and for the water fight,” Liam says as he gets up to rinse his plate. “I’m going to go watch tv in my room.”

To my surprise Liam comes around the table and gives each of us a hug.

The three of us make small talk, mostly about our day and things we need to add to our to-do list, while we finish eating. But once dinner is cleaned up, all bets are off.

I grab Nash and Zade’s hands and practically drag them to our bedroom.

In a frenzy of hands and lips we touch and strip each other, not caring which lips are on mine at any given moment. Both sets of lips belong to a man I love so it doesn’t matter.

When the three of us stumble into bed in a tangle of limbs Zade and I seem to be on the same wavelength as we work together to pin Nash to the bed and trail hot kisses along his chest. I tug his nipple ring between my teeth and then swirl my tongue around the sensitive area, while Zade tongues the vast expanse of Nash’s abs. Nash curses and writhes beneath us.

“I want you in me,” Nash begs, causing a throb of lust to punch through my body.

“Who, baby?” I ask, knowing Zade and I will give him anything he wants. We’ll make his first time perfect.

“I don’t care, either of you, both of you,” he pants. “Not at the same time, I’m not ready for that,” Nash amends and Zade and I laugh.

“Don’t worry, we weren’t going to D.P. you your first time bottoming,” Zade assures him. “We’ll save that for the second time.”

Nash’s eyes go wide with nerves and I give Zade’s nipple a flick for making him worry.

“Don’t worry, we’ll be nice,” I promise, crawling my way back up Nash’s body and covering his lips with mine in a sensual kiss.

When we part Nash turns his head to find Zade on his other side and they kiss with a sweet tenderness that makes my heart beat faster.

“Why don’t you get on top of Royal,” Zade suggests, giving Nash’s ass a light smack to get him moving.

I lay flat and happily take Nash’s lips again as his body covers mine. Our hands roam, tugging nipple rings, tangling in hair, grasping with bruising pressure.

Zade opens the top drawer of the nightstand and moments later is positioned behind Nash. The click of the lube bottle being opened is just barely audible over Nash and my ragged breathing.

Nash tenses, his lips stilling against mine.

“It’s okay baby, relax. Zade won’t hurt you,” I whisper, stroking his jaw and shoulders.

Nash starts to relax and our kissing resumes, until he’s moaning hot and desperately into my mouth and thrusting his erection against mine as he chases more from Zade’s fingers.

“Zade, please, more,” Nash whimpers.

“Get up on your knees for me,” Zade says.

Once Nash obeys Zade reaches between us and rolls a condom onto my aching cock.

“Ready?” Zade asks.

Nash nods and then turns his head to kiss Zade. Zade takes my cock and holds it straight, and guides him onto me. Nash gasps and tenses again as I breach the impossibly tight ring of muscles.

“Try to relax, it’s going to feel so good in a minute. Breath, babe,” Zade coaches Nash while kissing his neck and shoulders, and stroking his hair.

I use my grasp on Nash’s hips to keep his descent slow so he doesn’t accidentally take too much too fast.

Once I’m fully seated I sit up so Nash is sandwiched between Zade and me. We take turns kissing him as he adjusts to being stretched and filled in a way that’s new to him.

Nash let’s out a little laugh.

“You’re going to hurt my ego, laughing while my dick is up your ass,” I tease.

“Believe me, there’s nothing funny about your dick in my ass. I was just thinking, a few weeks ago I thought I was straight. Now I'm sandwiched between two sweaty men. Can't say I do anything half-assed.”

“Go big or go home,” Zade chuckles.

When Nash shifts his hips the mood changes back to heated in an instant. He gives an experimental hip swivel and gasps.

“Lay flat again so I can ride you,” Nash demands and I happily comply.

Without a trace of hesitation Nash lifts up and then slams himself back down onto my cock.

“Holy fuck, that’s good,” I moan as Nash continues to ride me shamelessly.

Just as my balls start to draw up tight and I’m nearly to the point of no return, Zade’s strong arms are around Nash’s hips, lifting him off me. Then he angles Nash’s hips back and thrusts into him forcefully. Nash’s eyes go wide as he almost falls against me from the force.

“Oh fuck, oh god, It’s...fuck, yes,” Nash babbles incoherently. I strip off the condom I have on and grab my dick in one hand, Nash’s in the other and start to jerk us both off in time with Zade’s punishing pace.

It’s not long before Nash is shouting, his eyes rolling back in his head, as he coats my stomach and chest with his release. My own joins his seconds later, waves of euphoria crashing over me as I look into Nash’s eyes. And then Zade groans and collapses against Nash’s back, and for a change I’m at the bottom of the pile as we all catch our breath.

Laying in a mass of tangled limbs, exchanging random kisses as we all get sleepy, I turn my face toward Zade and stroke my fingers through his scruff.

“You should stop wasting money on an apartment you’re never at. Don’t you think, Nash?”

“Absolutely. We’re not about to let you sleep in a bed away from us, so it makes sense if you go ahead and move in. We’re going to be finding a bigger place for all of us, anyway,” Nash agrees.

“Okay, I’ll move in,” Zade agrees, eyes shining in the moonlight, streaming in through the partially open blinds.

“Oh, hey, what’s the plan for the barbeque at your parents’ house next weekend?” I ask Nash.

It’s a yearly tradition to have a huge extended family barbecue at the end of July at Nash’s parents’ house.

Zade and I agreed we didn’t want to push Nash to come out before he’s ready. But we’ll need to know how he wants us to act and when he’s ready to tell his parents.

“Can we play it by ear?” Nash asks sheepishly.

“Of course, there’s no rush,” I give him a peck on the lips and Zade does the same.

“I love you,” I murmur sleepily to both my men, and they each return the sentiment with a kiss to my cheeks, and then they kiss each other once more. I can’t wait until they love each other, too.
