Going Commando (Heathens Ink Book 2) by K.M. Neuhold (9)

Royal

I’m still on cloud nine when I walk through the door. It’s somewhat disturbing to me that even after a mind-blowing orgasm with a guy I really kind of like, the sight of Nash in his boxers still stirs my interest.

“Oh, hey, didn’t expect you back tonight.”

“I wouldn’t miss movie night.” I plop down on the couch next to him and bite back the urge to cuddle up against him.

“Kind of a dick move to ditch your date to come home and watch movies with your roommate,” Nash points out.

“Like you’ve never done it.” I roll my eyes. I know he’s done it because he’s had me call him with a fake emergency so he could get out of there.

“And that’s why I’m single,” Nash says with a laugh. “You don’t want to follow my example, dude. Unless you want to be single forever.”

“Nah, having somebody would be kind of cool.”

“You have a fun time tonight with Zade?” Nash asks.

“Yeah, he’s pretty awesome. You think you might want to officially meet him?”

“If he’s going to be around then I definitely want to meet him. I have to make sure he’s good enough for you.” Nash’s tone is wistful and I can’t quite figure out what it means.

“Right,” I clear my throat and shift on the couch, attempting to get comfortable. “I think it’s your turn to pick a movie.”

“Die Hard,” Nash announces.

I groan at his choice.

“This is your punishment for making me listen to you getting laid.”

I grab a couch cushion and hit Nash with it.

“Dude,” he complains as the cushion bounces off his face.

He doesn’t hesitate to grab another cushion and return the blow, hitting me square in the forehead. Oh, it’s on.

I hit him again and when he’s distracted I grab him in a headlock.

“God, you reek of cigarettes and sex,” Nash complains.

“Don’t be such a baby,” I tease.

Nash’s arms wrap around my waist and he flips me onto the floor. I hang on tight, though, so he ends up on top of me on the floor. The weight of his body on mine goes straight to my dick. Oddly enough, I could almost swear he’s getting hard, too.

After a few seconds Nash scrambles off of me.

“You’re such a kid sometimes,” he chides.

“Whoa, what crawled up your ass?”

“Nothing. Can we watch the movie already or do you want to fuck around all night?”

I hold my hands up in surrender and climb back onto the couch without another word.

Work is steady all day Friday and through the weekend. Zade texts me and I tease him for being overeager, but I secretly love that he’s not playing hard to get like some guys do. There aren’t any games, he genuinely seems to like me. I’d started to give up on the idea of ever finding love. Not that I’m in love with Zade. I just met him, I’m not a weirdo. I could see it going that way eventually, if things progress the way they seem to be.

On Monday night I decide to take pity on Zade and be the one to invite him out. Since I want Nash and Zade to get to know each other I’ve decided that tonight the three of us are going to the bar and maybe to grab something to eat.

Zade: I’m honored that you want me to get to know the legendary Nash. I bought a car today, so I’ll pick you up this time

Royal: It’s a date

I’m actually giddy once the date is set. I’m a twenty-four year old man, I have no business being giddy over a cute guy. He’s so much more than looks, though. It’s exciting to be going out with someone who’s as wild and unpredictable as I can be. Although, god knows what kind of trouble we could end up getting into. Nash has always balanced me out in that way.

I shake away the thoughts of Nash. I need to start moving on from him. He’ll always be my best friend, but I need to come to terms with the fact that he will never love me the way I love him. Zade could love me, we could have a future together. I need to put Nash into the context he belongs in, and forget about the romantic feelings that never got me anywhere productive.

“You’ve been in a good mood this past week,” Gage notes as we both send off clients at the same time.

Gage has been Adam’s best friend basically forever. Even though I’ve known him the same amount of time I’ve known Madden and Adam, I’ve never gotten as close to Gage. He’s always been closed off and quiet. According to Adam, Gage hasn’t always been that way. He changed when Adam’s brother, Johnny, committed suicide six years ago. Neither of them have ever said it outright, but I always got the sense that Gage was in love with Johnny. I’ve never seen him date, but he doesn’t hide the fact that he’s gay.

“Yeah, I’m happy,” I confide.

Gage runs his hands through his short, blue hair. He changes his hair color often, and sometimes I wonder if it’s the only way he lets his personality out anymore. I can only imagine the fun, outgoing guy he probably was before his heart was shattered.

“That’s good. Love is only a good thing when it’s returned.”

“You should send that one to a fortune cookie company,” I tease.

Gage lets out a quiet laugh.

“I’ll consider it.”

When I reach my workspace Gage hesitates, like there’s something he wants to say.

“Do you need anything, man?”

“Uh...it’s probably nothing,” Gage looks up and down the hallway like he’s afraid of getting caught.

I tilt my head toward my room and Gage follows me in.

“What’s up?” I ask once we’re inside and the door is closed.

“Something’s up with Adam.”

“Oh?”

“He’s keeping something from me. Our whole lives he’s never kept anything from me.”

“How do you know he’s keeping something from you?”

“He’s the worst liar. It’s written all over his face that there’s something bothering him. At first I just thought maybe he was seeing someone new, because he’s been constantly on his phone texting with someone. But when I asked him about it he got really cagey, didn’t want to talk about it. Then, something happened a few days ago. He got all freaked out about something on his phone and since then he’s been completely withdrawn,” Gage explains.

I reach out and put a hand on his shoulder.

“I wish I knew what to say. I can try to talk to him, but I doubt he’ll say anything to me that he won’t say to you.”

“You’re probably right,” Gage slumps down, looking defeated and worried.

“I’m sure everything’s okay. He’ll tell you whatever it is when he’s ready. And, if I get the chance to ask some probing questions, I will.”

“Alright,” Gage agrees before hauling himself out of my chair and heading for the door.

To my delight, the rest of the day flies by. After my last appointment is finished and I’ve got my stuff cleaned up I go in search of Nash. I find him in Dani’s workspace, in her chair, with his shirt off. My breath catches when I see what she’s doing.

“You’re getting your nipple pierced?” I ask, licking my lips to combat my suddenly dry mouth. As if I need any more jerk off material when it comes to Nash.

“Yeah,” Nash glances over his shoulder at me and grins. He winces as Dani passes the needle through his skin.

When Nash turns back around I take the opportunity to adjust the semi that sprung up at the thought of running my tongue along Nash’s newly pierced nipple.

“You’re still down for coming out with Zade and me tonight, right?”

“Of course,” Nash agrees. “Ready in just a minute.”

I push back from the door frame and head up front so I can resist temptation.

Nash

I can’t have been imaging the lustful tension in Royal’s voice when he realized I was getting my nipple pierced, can I?

When I turn around again to look at him, he’s gone.

“Alright, you know the rules; no playing with it for a week, don’t change the jewelry for two weeks,” Dani instructs.

I nod in understanding and reach for my shirt.

My stomach is in knots at the thought of spending all night with Royal and Zade. If I’d been able to think of an excuse to get out of this, I would have.

It’s not that I don’t want to get to know Zade. I do want to get to know him, especially if Royal’s as serious about him as he seems to be. But I know seeing them together is going to drive home the fact that I realized I wanted Royal too little, too late.

When Royal and I get home we both go to get showered and dressed to go out, and about a half hour later there’s a knock at the front door.

“Mind grabbing that?” Royal calls from his bedroom.

I head to the door and pull it open to let Zade in. My breath catches when I take in the man before me. I noticed the other morning how attractive Zade was, it’s impossible to miss, but somehow he’s even better looking tonight. I’m not a small guy by any means, but Zade must outweigh me by at least fifty pounds of pure muscle. His hair is buzzed short and his square jaw is covered in a light layer of stubble. He’s like a G.I. Joe wet dream. Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with me? Last week I was straight, now I’m having sex dreams about Royal, and drooling over his new boyfriend.

“Mind if I come in?” Zade asks, his rough voice sending a shiver down my spine.

“Of course,” I step aside to let him pass, hoping he doesn’t notice the heat creeping into my cheeks or the fact that I was just eye-fucking the hell out of him.

“I’m glad we’re getting the chance to be properly introduced,” Zade says, extending a hand for me to shake. “I know things are still new with Royal and myself, but I like him. I’m sure you’re protective of him so I want to assure you, I have no plans to dick him over.”

“Good because the standard ‘hurt him and I’ll kill you’ speech would be a bit laughable in this situation.”

Zade throws his head back and laughs. The sound is rich and intoxicating.

“Sorry, I couldn’t decide what underwear I wanted to wear,” Royal says as he finally emerges from his bedroom.

Zade arches an eyebrow and regards him with lusty interest.

“And what did you decide on?”

Damn, I didn’t think that deep voice could drop another octave, but it did and now my dick is extremely interested in the situation.

“I’m going commando,” Royal answers with a wink.

I bite my tongue against a needy whimper that threatens. The vibe of pure sex rolling off Royal and Zade has me nearly panting, wishing I could be a part of it.

“You’re bluffing,” Zade accuses, narrowing his eyes at Royal, who gives him a cheeky grin in return.

“Guess you’ll have to wait and find out. Now, let’s go get some drinks.”

Zade

I’m at least 99% sure Royal’s roommate likes the D. At the very least he’s bi-curious. Straight guys don’t eye fuck other men then way Nash did when he opened the door. And when Royal said he wasn’t wearing any underwear I swear to god Nash looked like he was about to cream his pants.

The only real question I have is will Royal dump me if he finds out Nash is lusting after him? He’s in love with Nash, he admitted that. But I also know that we’ve got a good thing starting between us. Would they be open to the possibility of giving a poly relationship a try?

I’m getting ahead of myself. Who knows if and when Nash will tell Royal how he feels. For now I’m going to enjoy the night with Royal and his sexy roommate.

“Dare you to drink this bottle of hot sauce,” Royal challenges, sliding a half-full bottle of Cholula across the table toward me.

“What do I get if I do it?”

“You’ve got to be kidding me. Don’t tell me you’re as bad as he is?” Nash groans in frustration. “Now I’ll have two men-children to keep from killing themselves.”

A spike of heat goes through me at the way he says it. Like he’s responsible for us, like he wants to take care of us.

“If I drink it, then you blow me in the alley behind the bar.”

Royal lights up and my dick thickens in my pants.

“Deal, but if you can’t do it then you’re going to be the one on your knees in the alley like a slut,” Royal taunts.

“Seriously, Zade, don’t do it. You’re going to end up puking,” Nash warns.

“If I puke do I lose?” I check with Royal.

“No, it’s fine if you puke.”

“Jesus Christ,” Nash mutters. “How about, instead of the whole bottle he just has to take a shot of it?”

Royal cocks his head as he considers Nash’s suggestion.

“Fine, but a whole shot glass full,” Royal concedes.

Nash lets out a sigh of relief, apparently now feeling better about my wellbeing.

Royal jumps up and heads up to the bar to ask for an empty shot glass, I assume.

“Sorry to be a buzzkill,” Nash says as he brings his bottle of beer to his lips.

My eyes latch on to the movement as his lips wrap around the bottle and the muscles in his jaw and throat work as he guzzles down the drink. Fuuuck me.

When he sets the drink down I manage to tear my eyes away and clear my throat.

“You’re not a buzzkill. I take it you’re pretty used to keeping Royal in line?” I ask with a laugh.

“I don’t like to stamp out his spirit too much, just try to keep him safe. Sometimes he gets a little caught up in the fun without thinking about possible consequences. I don’t mind looking out for him.”

The warm affection in Nash’s voice confirms all of my suspicions. Nash isn’t just attracted to Royal, he’s in love with him.

And it’s easy to see why Royal is in love with Nash. His presence is grounding. Nash is like an anchor in the storm. Royal and I are both storms, wild and unpredictable. It’s exciting and a little frightening to get caught up in a storm. A storm needs an anchor.

“He’s lucky to have you.”

Before Nash can respond, Royal is back with a shot glass and a grin.

“Drink up, soldier.”

I don’t hesitate to fill the shot glass with hot sauce, all the way to the rim so Royal can’t say I pussied out. As soon as I throw the shot back I regret it. It burns all the way down making my eyes water and my nose run. I sputter a cough but am able to keep the whole thing down.

“Done. Easiest blowjob I’ve ever earned,” I gloat, wiping the back of my hand across my mouth and then grabbing Royal by the back of the neck and dragging him into a rough kiss.

I can feel Nash’s eyes on us as my tongue presses past Royal’s lips and tangles with his, and it makes my dick hard as fucking granite.

“Damn that shit is spicy, it’s burning my tongue,” Royal complains, pulling back from the kiss.

“No shit Sherlock. Can’t argue that I earned my prize,” I point out.

“We’ll be back in a few minutes,” Royal says to Nash before grabbing my hand and dragging me through the bar to the back door.

Nash

I can’t tear my eyes off their retreating forms as Royal and Zade head toward the back of the bar. My dick is impossibly hard at the thought of Royal on his knees in the alley, taking Zade deep into his throat. I can only imagine what the big, strong Marine looks like when he comes apart. Does he tremble and beg?

I already know how skilled Royal is with his mouth. The first time he sucked me off during a threesome with a woman we were drunk and it was happening before I realized it. I almost told him to stop, freaked out momentarily by the idea of a man pleasuring me. But then he sucked me harder than any woman ever had, and took me all the way down his throat, grabbing my hips and encouraging me to fuck his mouth, not to hold back. So I did. To this day that’s the hardest I’ve ever cum in my life.

The next morning Royal had sheepishly apologized for crossing a line and promised he would never do it again. I remember stuttering out an awkward response that was something along the lines of ‘I...uh...it’s cool...if you want to do it again, I mean...I don’t mind.’

And the next time he tried there was no urge to push him away even for a second. Just pure ‘holy fucking shit that’s heaven’.

A woman approaches my table, pulling me from the lustful and longing turn my thoughts have taken.

“You look lonely,” she says, leaning over so I can get a good look down her shirt.

Considering how hard I was mere seconds ago, I can’t seem to muster any enthusiasm to take her up on the implied offer.

“No, my friends will be back any second,” I respond dismissively.

She pouts for a second and then turns to saunter off, in search of a guy who’s more amenable to her advances I assume.

Royal and Zade return a few minutes later, laughing and touching each other. Royal’s lips are damp and swollen, giving me the insane urge to kiss him, to taste Zade on him.

“Sorry, that was a dick move to ditch you like that,” Royal apologizes, putting a hand on my shoulder. My skin burns at the innocent contact.

“Don’t worry about it.” I don’t begrudge him fooling around with Zade, I just have the crazy impulse to be part of it.

Zade suggests we play darts. So the three of us spend the rest of the evening playing darts and pool, and drinking. I have to give it to Royal, Zade is pretty awesome. I’m just going to have to ignore the pang of longing in my chest every time the two of them touch.

Four strong hands roam over my body, stroking and teasing until I feel like I’m about to lose my mind from lust.

“We need you, Nash,” Zade’s deep voice rumbles in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

I look down and find Royal on his knees in front of me, looking up at me with hunger in his ice blue eyes. I moan at the sight, running my fingers through his hair.

Zade’s body heats my back and holds me steady as Royal unzips my pants, exposing my flushed, throbbing erection.

“Please,” I whimper.

Royal opens his mouth and Zade whispers in my ear to feed Royal my cock.

“And then, while you fuck his mouth, I’m going to fuck your ass.”

“Yes,” I gasp.

I jolt awake covered in sweat, my cock hard enough to hammer nails.

“Holy shit,” I run my hands through my hair as I gulp fresh air, trying to reorient myself with reality. Reality, where I am not naked and sweaty with my best friend and his boyfriend.
