“I’ll be sending you a few files right after this call,” says one of the company lawyers based in Europe.

 

Adam nods his head, a direct affirmative. He’s scheduled to fly out to Europe next week to finalize a number of deals. In recent months, the company has been scaling at a faster rate. The company’s not only in the luxury retail space, but now Adam’s decided to venture into the large-scale retail space. He wants to provide affordable luxury items and open up department stores in The Sinclair Group of Companies. The department stores in New York and Los Angeles are already operational with the one in London set to open early next year. Next week, he’ll be flying to the UK to meet with investors to finalize the deals.

 

For now, he wants to iron out everything with his lawyer, Mack, through the video call. They won’t have time to bounce questions off one another when Adam meets him in London next week. Lexi, sitting quietly beside Adam, is taking minutes of the video meeting. Her fingers are moving in a flurry typing up words.

 

“Were you able to take that, Lex?” he asks her, using his personalized nickname for her.

 

As Adam continues talking to Mack, or Attorney Hanson if they were being formal, Adam can’t help but feel distracted with Lexi’s side boob grazing his arm.
