Double Daddy Trouble: A Groomsman Menage by Violet Paige (15)

Sawyer

The kitchen was quiet. The coffeepot made a bubbling sound as the water filtered through the grounds. Sawyer cracked an egg in a bowl and began to whisk, adding milk, salt, and pepper.

Last night was fucking astonishing.

He thought they’d have to work slower with Lily. But she wanted everything all at once. The things she could do with her body. The sounds she made. She was like a gift from heaven planted at their feet.

He poured the omelet mixture into a hot pan. Saturdays were usually work days. But this weekend was different. He and Jack would have to catch up with report reviews during the week. This weekend was all about Lily.

He was determined this was going to be her perfect weekend.

Jack staggered into the kitchen. “Coffee ready yet? We need to get going.”

“Get going? What in the hell are you talking about?”

Jack stared at his friend. “Arnie’s wedding. At the vineyard. It’s tonight.”

“Fuck,” Sawyer groaned. “I forgot about that. How do we keep getting pulled into this shit? I’m tired of being a groomsman.”

“Then we shouldn’t have joined a fraternity in college.”

“Get some coffee, asshole. Where’s Lily?”

Jack walked to the counter to pour a cup. “Still sleeping. I think we wore her out. The last time might have been too much. You think?”

“She’s stronger than you give her credit for.”

Jack jumped to the counter. “She’s a fucking rock star.”

Sawyer sprinkled bacon in the center of the omelet and let it cook. “She’s everything we’ve been looking for.”

“I don’t know how I didn’t fuck her last night.”

“I appreciate that.” Sawyer looked over his shoulder.

“I know how much you want her virgin ass. I didn’t think it was right to take her pussy first.”

“Much obliged.” He stirred the omelet into a flip. It looked perfect golden brown.

“What’s your plan here?” Jack asked.

“What do you mean? I’m cooking breakfast for the three of us.”

“I see that. I’m not talking about the damn breakfast. I’m talking about her. About the debt with Gino.”

“I’m not going to renegotiate the terms. She works for us for a year. That was the agreement.”

Jack took a sip of coffee. “You don’t think that’s going to be complicated?”

“I don’t see the problem.”

“The problem is the girl we’re fucking is now an employee. We’ve steered clear from that for a long time. Let her out of the deal.”

“Think about it this way.” Sawyer placed the first omelet on a pan and placed it in the warming oven while he made the second. “If she’s at the office we have more time with her. We have the lounges between our offices. She’ll understand our world. She’ll be involved in Kincaid-Rivers. She will know us better than any woman before.”

Jack clutched the coffee mug. “When you say it that way it sounds like a perfect plan, but that dick in HR has been on our asses for years for hiring pretty girls.”

Sawyer waved the spatula in the air. “I don’t give a shit about him. I want Lily at the office. She’s smart. She’s done more for us in the past three weeks than Jill did in six months. Her brain is out of this world. She is the total package, bro. Listen to me on this one.”

He lifted the mug. “I don’t disagree. I’m only worried about her. She shouldn’t feel like a commodity, and this deal makes her that.”

“I’ll talk to her,” Sawyer offered. “Will that make you feel better?”

“Yeah. You can gladly have that conversation. That’s your job anyway.”

“Job?” Sawyer raised his eyebrows.

“You know. You’re the serious one. I’m the light-hearted fun one.”

“Bastard, I can be fun.”

Jack laughed. “I’m fucking with you.”

“Why don’t you get down here and cut up some fruit? Lily will be up soon.”

“Fine.” He hopped from the counter.

“What should we do when she wakes up?”

“I thought about taking her to the vineyard early before the wedding. If you’re up for it.”

Jack nodded. “I think it’s a great spot for us to spend the weekend. I’ll pack after breakfast.”

“Are the tuxes are there?”

“Oh yeah. All we have to do is show up at the church and get dressed. Maybe have a few drinks with the guys.”

“Maybe we should take Lily to the wedding.”

“All right. I’ll have Penny send over a dress,” Jack offered.

“And call the chef and tell him to stock the kitchen.”

“Got it.”

They worked in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for Lily. A woman they both wanted to make happy.
