“This is all garbage,” Warren spoke as he walked around the conference room passing back each of our advertising campaigns that had been pitched to him earlier. “I need something more if—” his cute receptionist popped her head in the door and cut him off. “What!” he barked.

“There’s a phone call for Mr. Barry,” she looked at me then back at Warren, “it’s Andy.”

Warren nodded his head in approval, “Fine, fine make it quick,” he waved me off.

I was still a little miffed from missing last night’s game. I thought hanging with Andy was going to be a breeze then he went and pulled that stunt last night, not cool. I had to shake it off though. Omegas had a tendency to be almost worse than females with that kind of stuff. I guess he was just fitting the stereotype.

I picked up the phone, “Hey Andy.”

“Hi Benny, Benny Boo Boo, how are you?” He squealed into the phone.

I pulled the receiver away from my ear on account of the high-toned pitch he was using. “Hey, I’m just in a meeting, can I call you back later?” I was not in the mood to deal with whatever that was.

Ohhhh but I miss you so, so, so much.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I took a glance around the conference room. Everyone’s eyes were watching me, including The J’s. I put on a fake smile, “I miss you, too. Did you want to do something later?” I asked, despite my urge to hang up and never talk to this omega ever again.

“Can we see a movie, my Benny-Ben?” He squealed again.

“Of course, of course,” I just wanted to be off this phone, “I’ll call you later, we’ll make a date.” I gave him a moment to let all his excitement out then hung up the phone.

We made arrangements to meet at the Oden Theatre at nine to watch Sleepless in Seattle, worst movie choice of all time, picked by Andy of course.

We settled in with a big bag of popcorn, it’s just one movie, you can make it through.

Andy smacked the popcorn between his lips obnoxiously, “This is my all-time favorite movie,” he expressed loudly.

“Mine too,” I agreed in a whisper.

“What’s on your mind?” Andy turned his head to look at me. As if he was asking me this right now.

“The movie,” I answered bluntly and quietly.

“Come on, tell me,” He urged.

“I’m thinking about how I’m watching the movie,” I pointed to the screen.

“How am I supposed to believe your mind is blank?” His voice began to rise and he jerked up right in his seat, spilling the popcorn slightly. “Who is he?” He practically shouted at me.

“What?” I asked dumbfounded, still trying to set a whispering tone.

“I’m supposed to believe you’re watching some epic love story without anyone on your mind?” He huffed dramatically.

The man behind us grunted in annoyance. I had to put Andy’s mind at ease before he pissed anyone else off.

“Listen, you want to know what I’m thinking about?” I asked rhetorically, “I’m thinking about just how beautiful you are and how lucky I am.” I smiled, hoping that would shut him up.

“Oh my god! Bennnyyyy!” he screeched with excitement and lifted his bum off the movie theatre seat to bury my head in his arms and chest with a giant hug. “You’re just the sweetest!”

“Hey!” the man behind us barked, “Now I can’t see or hear!”

I turned around to see a giant alpha who must have been almost seven feet tall, weighing 300 pounds, most of it muscle. Before I had the chance to apologize, Andy cut in.

“Hey yourself! If you don’t leave us alone my boyfriend is going to come back there and beat your ass!” He sharply wagged his finger while he told the giant off.

The giant alpha rose in his seat, “Alright you, outside right now!”

I didn’t want to create more of a scene, so I reluctantly followed the beast outside, apologizing the whole way behind him.

Andy grabbed my shoulder to turn me around, “Ben, he’s huge! Please don’t fight him.”

“I’m not going to fight,” I reassured him, “I’m just going to apologize…” I turned back around to rationally hash things out but before words could leave my mouth the giant alpha drew back his fist and landed it right on my jaw, sending my entire body to the ground.

Andy rushed to my assistance. “Oh My Gosh. Ben!” he cradled my head in his lap as he clutched my sore jaw in his palm.

“Now I’m going back inside to watch my movie,” the giant huffed, “No one mess with me.” He sniffed through his nose as if he were a child pouting and stomped back inside to finish the movie.

“Ben, I’m so sorry, we should get you to the hospital! You might have a concussion.” He sat on the floor with me between his legs, still cradling my head that rested on his smooth sexy chest.

“It’s okay, I’m okay,” I said as I rubbed my jaw and happily nestled my head into his chest. It hurt but the pain was barely noticeable as I rested my head against Andy’s body with his soft hands comforting me.

“Are you sure?” he insisted.

“Oh yeah,” I nudged my head exaggeratedly into his chest, “Oh yeah, mmhm I’m good.”

He caught my playfulness and pulled my head off his chest. “Ben! You’re fine,” He laughed, “Let’s get out of here.”

We both laughed and stood up to leave the theatre. I couldn’t put my finger on him. One minute he was needy, jealous and bat shit crazy, and the next minute he was adorably sweet.

Getting punched out at a chick flick movie was not ideal, but the way he took care of me afterwards was very sweet. I smiled as we walked out and I slipped my arm around his waist.
