How to Lose an Alpha in ten days: An Mpreg Romance by Swift, W. Mae, Stellys, Ashton (8)

Ben

I had to make one last grand romantic gesture to seal the deal. After I kissed Andy goodbye I ran down the hall to the fire escape. I stepped outside into the fresh nighttime air, catching Andy just before he got in the cab.

“Be safe, Andy!” I yelled, looking down at his sweet little face.

“Thank you, Ben,” He yelled back up.

Oh this is going to be too easy, he is falling in love with me already.

I smiled a winning smile as I headed back into my apartment giddily dancing, thinking about what I was going to do with all this money from the Florence Diamond account.

I turned the lock on my apartment door then threw my head back over my shoulder, looking towards the luminous reading table in the living room. No it can’t be… but it was. Sitting on top of the reading table bedside lamp was Andy’s two-toned grey leather wallet. Bingo.

The next morning at work I gathered Tony and Glen into my office to discuss last night’s events.

“Out of everyone that Jody and John could have thrown at me, Andy is definitely a catch, I can spend 10 days with him no problem!” I motioned towards the wallet that lay on my desk. “And boys, look what the heavens have presented me with.”

The boys looked at the wallet like it had a saintly emanation surrounding it.

“Wow,” Glen mocked, “look at that.” He flashed his perfect smile.

“Have you looked inside yet?” Tony asked curiously, eyeing the wallet.

“No, I haven’t looked inside, Tony,” I responded bluntly.

“What, you got some sorta ethical problem with looking through some omega’s wallet?” He asked with his strong accent.

“As a matter of fact, I do. I don’t know what I might find in there.”

We stayed hovered around the wallet, exchanging looks, until Glen shot his hand out across my desk causing the wallet to fly across my office onto the floor, displaying all of it’s contents openly.

The boys scurried across the office floor to peer inside.

“Knicks tickets!” They screamed in unison.

“These were obviously meant to be seen, Ben,” Tony noted.

“Yeah, omegas aren’t into sports. And what? He just happens to leave these tickets in your house?” Glen confirmed.

“Maybe you guys are right,” I smiled inwardly, “I was shining my looove charm last night,” I cracked up and so did the boys. “So, what’s my next move to make this omega really swoon?”

“You’re going to have to do something real creative to make sure you land one of those tickets, Ben,” Tony said as he exchanged looks with Glen.

I thought for a moment, tapping my fingers against my nose. “Love, love, love, what says love to an omega…” I trailed off and walked out of my office to find a contact my receptionist had.

I returned holding a card from Flor de Flor, a renowned flower shop in downtown Manhattan.

“What says love better than white roses?” I asked the boys. “Let’s say…100?”

The boys agreed it was a perfectly grand gesture. I rang the flower shop and asked for 100 white roses to be delivered to Glam-O offices for Andy Anderson and to please notify me when they arrived.

My career was depending on making this omega fall head over heels in love with me. I could very well retire early if I landed this account. I could sail away somewhere down south. The thought of not having a family would never cross my mind again, just the wide-open sea and me.

I sighed as I looked at my empty desk, waiting for the flower shop to call back. I had no pictures. No wedding with an omega and no children’s faces smiling back at me. The dream of having a family was long over and now I had a new dream, one with money and boats.

Two and a half hours later I received a call from Flor de Flor telling me the flowers had successfully arrived at Glam-O for Andy Anderson. I thanked them and made no hesitation to ring him up and find out what kind of reaction I was receiving.

It rang once and he picked up instantly, he must have been awaiting my call.

“Andy Anderson,” he chimed through the phone.

His voice made my senses perk up and I felt little goose bumps forming on my skin.

“How are you?” I said casually.

“Other than the utterly embarrassing display of roses that just came through my office?” He laughed.

I ignored his comment completely. I was on an agenda. “I had a great time last night, Andy, and I think I have something that belongs to you.”

I felt him nod through the phone but didn’t give him time to answer. “And you must need it back seeing as how it’s full of cash, credit cards, and Knicks tickets.” I held my breath for his response.

“Oh, so you’ve been snooping through my things have you?”

“No, no, nothing like that,” I bit my lip, “my friend, he mistook it for his own and opened it up.”

“Sure…” He didn’t sound convinced. “Well, I’m sorry Ben, if you’re fishing for an invite, I’ve already invited someone else.”

There was no way I was giving up that easily on the tickets or him. “No way, I think you subconsciously left those tickets at my house so that I would find them and have to call you to insist for this date.”

Andy’s laugh echoed through the phone. “Is that so, Ben Barry?”

“Yes, I say you have to take me, it’s only good for your subconscious health.”

He laughed again, this time more tamed. “Okay, okay, I’ll meet you at seven,” he agreed.

“Perfect,” I confirmed and hung up the phone.

The boys gave me an impressed look and I headed out the door to get ready for the big game.
