How to Lose an Alpha in ten days: An Mpreg Romance by Swift, W. Mae, Stellys, Ashton (5)

Andy

I sipped my gin martini, standing with the boys in a crowded corner of a new bar that some friends had recommended. The room was filled with good looking executive types. “Finding a suitable alpha in this crowd will be easier than one, two, three,” I thought out loud to my friends.

I wore a grey silk dress shirt with a flirty neckline to show off my smooth, toned chest. I twizzled the martini’s stir stick around in the glass and made eye contact with a cute brunette across the bar. “What about him?” I asked my other omega friends for clarification before making my move.

“The cutie beside the professor?” Jean confirmed.

“Totally,” Michael agreed as well.

“Alright, I’m going in,” I passed my martini to the boys so I could approach the bar empty handed in hopes to get a drink bought for me. The boys watched from a distance, squealing with excitement as I slinked in between the professor and the cute brunette alpha.

As I leaned over the bar pretending to wait for the bartender’s attention, I made sure my body brushed up against the cute brunette’s arm. He turned his head to see who was beside him. He smiled when he noticed me, a cute blond omega, standing next to him.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” I apologized and pawed at his arm.

“Oh, you’re fine,” He said, as he looked me up and down.

“Andy,” I shot my hand out for a shake.

“Alan,” He said returning the shake. “From around here?”

I smiled in accomplishment and let my gaze drift slightly to Jean and Michael who were standing in the same corner nodding, smiling and giving me thumbs up.

The conversation didn’t get very far. I returned his question then he threw in the words my partner along with his answer and a hand with a metal band around the ring finger slid onto his shoulder.

“Andy, this is my partner Tom.” He motioned to the hand on his shoulder that was attached to a respectable looking omega.

“Hi, nice to meet you both,” I said awkwardly as I began to step away from the bar. “Enjoy New York,” then I turned my back completely.

I looked back at Jean and Michael who both had their hands in the air. I lifted my hand and pointed to the ring finger indicating that he was married and watched them roll their eyes.

I put my head down, feeling a little phased, and snuck back through the crowd to re-join my friends. As I walked through the crowded bar, a man stopped directly in front of me causing me to stop suddenly and look up.

“Hi,” he said with a confident toothy grin. He was slightly taller than me, with brown eyes, a strong jawline and dirty blond hair slicked back like he was some kind of real hot shot.

“Hi.” Perfect, I thought then gave him a seductive toothless grin back, opening my big blue eyes just a little wider.

We stood there smiling, gazing into one another’s eyes for a moment. The moment lingered for slightly too long and I broke the silence by giggling lightly and offering my name.

“Andy Anderson,” I tried to shake his hand but the bar was so packed that our faces were already practically touching.

He awkwardly accepted my handshake and told me his name, “Benjamin Barry.” He said confidently.

“Cute,” I said.

“Thank you,” he blushed thinking the compliment was about his appearance.

“I meant your name,” I corrected in a flirtatious way.

“Oh,” he blushed even harder, “Still, thank you, I guess.”

“Unattached?” I asked jumping right ahead to the point. I had an article to finish in just ten days. I couldn’t waste my time talking to any more men who were unavailable.

“Currently, yes. And you?”

“Likewise.”

“Surprising.”

“Psycho?”

“Seldom.”

This one-word question answer game was kind of cute.

“Interested?” He arched his brown.

“Perhaps,” I licked my lips.

“Hungry?”

“Starving.”

“Leaving?”

“Sounds good.” I clenched my fists with excitement.

“I’ll get our coats and wait over by the door,” Ben told me as I motioned to go say goodbye to my friends.

I walked over to the guys and waited till Ben was clear out of sight before I told them that he might be the perfect alpha for my column. I slammed the rest of my martini and they wished me luck before I scurried over to meet Ben by the door.

The J’s clinked their champagne glasses and exchanged villainous looks, watching as the two of us left the bar together.

It was a beautiful New York night. The air was warm but there was a light breeze just cool enough for a little jacket. I pulled mine up over my arms as we walked out the door and down the sidewalk where we stopped in front of a jet-black Kawasaki sport bike.

He slipped the matching black helmet off the handlebars and put it on over top his perfectly smooth, dirty blond hair then swung a leg over and mounted the bike. He looked back at me and reached for his spare helmet.

“You get to wear the goofy helmet,” He said as he passed me a giant white helmet.

I snuffed at his remark, “It won’t look goofy on me.” I slipped it on over my short little curls.

“It looks goofy on anyone,” he warned.

I posed for him by making pouting kissy faces. Looking extra cute to make him fall for me. Tomorrow I’d pull the switch and start to experiment with all the annoying tendencies omegas commonly use. I would be clingy, obsessive, and whiny, all the classic stereotypical actions of a needy omega. But for now I had to make him fall head over heels.

“Well look at you, that is kind of cute.” He reached over to buckle my strap then revved up the bike’s engine.

I sighed. It’s all for my career, I thought before getting on the back of his bike.
