How to Lose an Alpha in ten days: An Mpreg Romance by Swift, W. Mae, Stellys, Ashton (2)

Benjamin

I graciously weaved through New York City’s congested traffic on my jet black Kawasaki Ninja heading to work for the first time in awhile. I pulled up to the Universal Ad Agency building and parked neatly between two cars directly out front.

I pulled off my helmet and slicked back my dirty blond hair. I had taken a little vacation from advertising but had just recently gotten wind of a killer account opening up and I had to come back to the scene to pounce.

As I stepped off my bike and onto the sidewalk, a tall, elegant omega standing in front of Universal’s offices caught my eye. His head was down and he didn’t seem to notice me. When I approached him I saw he was reading from Glam-O, the silly omega magazine that focused on trends, self-care, and finding alphas.

“Jody, how are you?” I asked. He looked up from flipping through the pages. “Reading up on your omega trends?” I chuckled to myself.

He looked annoyed instantly by my taunting. “Actually Ben, I’m reading what happens to be our number one buyer for our ad campaigns. Maybe you should give it a read yourself and learn a little something. I’m actually headed there right now to give them a run through of our new account.” He said smugly.

“Right,” I brushed him off with a smirk and headed inside. “Good luck, then.” I added just to be a real smartass. I didn’t bother asking what the account was. I was sure it had something to do with some new omega product no one cared about.

Jody and his partner, John, were my biggest competitors within Universal. We were always competing for higher numbers, but they never quite reached mine. They were both omegas and they could never seem to break into the cutthroat market that the alphas had, for the most part, dominated.

Upstairs in my office I met Tony and Glen, a couple colleagues of mine. They gathered around my desk in anticipation to hear what I had going on for us next.

“So, what are we working on now?” Tony asked. He was short but buff and from Staten Island, like me, with a strong New York/Italian accent.

“Well, word has it Florence Diamonds is looking for a new ad agency and Warren wants to jump on it,” I told them as I stripped off my leather motorcycle jacket and white T-shirt exposing my washboard abs.

“Florence Diamonds?” Glen gawked, “How do you except to land that one?” He had oily black hair but a killer smile and was my number one when it came to public relations.

I watched as three omegas standing beside the water cooler bent their backs trying to get a look inside my office to see my half naked body. I fumbled around with the buttons on my dress shirt letting them enjoy the show for another minute.

“Well Glen, I am the best of the best that there is, aren’t I?” I responded to him cockily.

“Yeah, but at beer, basketball and bikes. Diamonds are an omega’s field of expertise.” Tony pointed out.

I really was the best in the advertising business. When I first received my test results and I was told I was an alpha all I had wanted to do was go off in the world and start a family. A few years later I was in a motorcycle accident and the doctors told me that most likely I would never be able to create children of my own. The thought of testing that theory and having bad results was too heartbreaking so I immersed myself with work. I climbed the ladder in the advertising world quickly to distract myself from the pain of never being able to start a family of my own. Now I had some of the most expensive, exclusive accounts from all over the world and the dream of having a family was no longer a desire.

“Warren already gave it to Jody and John.” Glen piped in.

“He gave it to Jody and John!” Hell if I was going to accept that just like so. “No, no, no. What business do they have taking it? It was my lead!”

“Beers, basketball and bikes,” Tony pointed out again.

I finished buttoning my shirt and cuffed my sleeves. “I’m going to get that account, there’s no doubt about that, it’s the biggest account in years.” I pawned over my options for a moment, trying to think of my next move. Before buttoning my last button I gave the gawking omegas at the water cooler a wink.

“So that’s what Jody and John are doing over at Glam-O, connecting ties. I’ll go talk to Warren now.” I stepped towards the door to leave but Glen stopped me.

“He’s on a plane, not back till tonight.”

I pinched my face in thought.

“He’s meeting with the J’s tonight when he lands. At Oasis I think, that new bar uptown.”

“Now, that I can work with,” I scuffled up Glen’s oily hair. “I’m going to go there tonight, win over Warren, show Jody and John who’s the best and land that account baby!” I made a gun with my fingers, shooting Tony in the face. “See you suckers later!” I shouted as I took off out the door of the agency once again to prep for tonight's ambush.
