How to Lose an Alpha in ten days: An Mpreg Romance by Swift, W. Mae, Stellys, Ashton (24)

Epilogue

Ben

After all these years of being scared, scared that I wouldn’t ever be able to conceive a baby with an omega, it happened. It happened quite fast actually. I guess I had just been waiting all this time to find the right person. It may have even been our first night together that we conceived Benjamin Jr. But it was hard to say because we couldn’t seem to keep our hands off each other after we were finally mated.

Andy found out three months later. He was expecting his heat to come. To be honest I was very excited for his heat to come. I had three months to think about all the things we could do during his heat. The thoughts aroused me more and more every day until I noticed I had been anticipating it for almost too long.

Andy took a pregnancy test and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. The both of us had wanted kids for so long now but the both of us had, for the most part, given up the thought completely at this point in our lives. So when we read the test to be positive, we knew it was a gift.

The next six months were filled with nothing but praises, showers, and beautiful moments shared between my pregnant omega and I. I still worked at the advertising firm and Andy started writing children’s books, which was really a dream come true for him.

I was sitting on our new leather couch that Andy and I had purchased together a couple months back. I was watching the Knicks in March Madness when I heard a piercing scream come from our master bath.

“Andy? Everything okay in there?” I got up and ran to the bathroom to assist him. Water was all over the bathroom floor. “Are you okay? Did you fall? Did a pipe burst?” I asked stupidly.

He laughed at me, “No stupid! My water broke.”

“Holy! Already?” I started scrambling around the apartment looking for my keys. “Here!” I yelled, locating the keys and the bike helmet. He looked at me like I was insane.

“Ben, my water just broke. I can’t get on the back of your motorcycle!” He laughed. I couldn’t understand how he was being so rational and level headed. “It’s okay, just call the ambulance,” he instructed, and then proceeded to lie down on his side.

“What’s happening? Are you okay?” I asked in a panic. I didn’t know if I should call the ambulance first or help him to the floor.

“I’m fine,” he said collectively. “Just call the ambulance. I read somewhere if I lie on my side it will slow down the baby from coming.”

I called the ambulance then came to sit beside my omega. His arms looked thin against his big round belly, it made me want to hold him. He was so delicate and precious.

He looked up at me, “He’s coming now, Ben. Call dispatch and get them to talk us through this. I read enough books to tell me how to do this. I think we got it.”

I almost fainted at the thought of delivering my own baby. Andy may have read the books but I surely hadn’t. I tried to maintain calm for Andy’s sake. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it tight as I waited for dispatch to answer. Andy remained calm but I could see in his face that the pain was becoming more intense. “Are you doing okay, babe?” I asked softly, as I pet his curls away from his sweaty brow.

He groaned with out answering and clutched his stomach. The phone rang twice with no answer. I was really starting to panic. On the third ring my stress was brought to relief when dispatch finally picked up. The moment she answered my words came spilling out of my mouth in one chaotic, deformed sentence. “Baby! Having…we need help…how do you? It’s coming right now!”

“Okay, just breathe mister, I’ll walk you through this slow and easy.” Her soothing tone made me feel much more calm. I put the phone on speaker mode and set it down beside Andy and I. The dispatch operator, a.k.a. My Hero, guided Andy telling him to breathe and push. She directed me to stick my fingers inside him to see just how far along he was. I slipped a finger inside but it didn’t get far.

“I think I feel him already!” I shouted into the phone. I looked up and Andy and for the first time I saw fear in his eyes. “Push!” I screamed, “Push!”

Andy pushed one long last breath of air out along with an enormous scream, and the baby’s head started to appear.

“Oh my gosh, he’s here!” I cried out in excitement. I was overwhelmed with joy and love.

With the help of dispatch, Andy’s steady hand, and my assistance, we delivered the baby safely at home with no complications.

I tied a clean shoelace around the umbilical cord, separating Ben Jr. from Andy. I wrapped him in a soft white towel and took him in my arms. He was perfect. Andy lay on the cool tile exhausted from the birth. “Look,” I held the baby up to Andy’s rosy cheeks and his eyes sparkled.

He giggled and took the baby from my arms, “Look at us, Ben,” he said, “I guess we can make a family photo album for real now.”

Not only did Andy not lose his alpha in ten days, he gained a partner, a father, and a beautiful baby boy. I hugged him as we lay on the floor, together with our baby. I couldn’t wait to build our new, and very real, family album.
