Crazy Good Love by MF Isaacs (31)

Sierra wasn’t about to leave her brand-new husband to go back to the school just to pack her stuff and we certainly didn’t have time before heading to Vegas. So Steve and I offered to pack up her stuff and bring it back with us at the end of the week. But after spending several days packing, we quickly realized the three of us had more than we could fit in my little RAV4, and Curtis had already claimed their car to move his stuff.

Cal couldn’t get time off work, Dad being the boss or not, three weekends off in a row wasn’t fair to the other employees. So Steve called Alfred and Norma to see if we could store some boxes for a couple of weeks. Alfred agreed without hesitating and Norma insisted that Steve and I have dinner with them before leaving town.

We scheduled dinner for Thursday night; agreeing that Steve and I would bring the load of boxes over before going out to dinner. When we arrived Alfred already had the garage door open and was ready to help Steve unload the boxes. Alfred certainly didn’t appear his age, he was stronger than most guys my age. Once everything was stored, Norma announced she wanted to try the new Chinese place downtown. Since that was halfway between campus and their house we decided to take two cars.

We spent two hours at the restaurant catching up. We filled them in on everything that had happened since Thanksgiving; the wedding, our engagement, the modeling, transferring schools, and Steve working for my dad. They were both adamant that they wanted to be present for our wedding. We hadn’t spent much time talking or planning our own wedding. Our main focus has been getting through Vegas and then getting moved. Now that we were almost done with that, we could start making plans. One thing was for sure, we didn’t want to wait long. It was getting harder and harder each time we were alone to not fuck like rabbits.

Alfred refused to let us pay or even help pay for dinner. We shared hugs and agreed to let them know as soon as we did what our plans were for the wedding. Not to mention we would let them know when we planned to come get the boxes.

We spent all day Friday cleaning both the dorm room and his room at the fraternity. We had the car packed with everything other than the blankets we needed to sleep with and the clothes we planned to wear the next day. We had dinner one last time at the cafeteria then spent the next couple of hours walking around campus taking random pictures of ourselves one last time.

We were exhausted from packing and cleaning and moving; by the time we made it back to my empty dorm room we each took a bed. We talked late into the night with the lights off, making plans for our future. Eventually I must have dozed off because the next thing I knew, the sun was shining through the blinds and Steve was sliding into the bed with me. We laid there snuggling for a few minutes before he kissed the side of my head and said. “Good morning Baby. I don’t want to wait anymore.” I could feel his growing erection pressed into my ass and my heart rate started to speed up, I didn’t want to wait to get married, but I still wanted to wait to have sex until we were married. True panic set in, what if that made him mad, what if he wasn’t willing to wait.

He must have felt the panic in my body, because he softly turned my body to face him. “Baby?”

I just shook my head at him and tried to scoot further into the wall than I already was. Looking at me with concern he asked, “You still want to get married right? You want to marry me?”

Whispering, “Of course I want to marry you.” I could see his body relaxing as he released the breath he was holding.

“Thank god. That is what I am talking about Sweetheart. I don’t want to wait to get married. I know it was a lot of work for you, Sierra, and your mom; getting their wedding together so quickly. Is it too much to ask of you guys to do it that fast again? I don’t care about what you wear or even where we do it. The only thing I care about is that our family, Alfred and Norma too, are there and in the end that you are my wife.” He finished by smacking loud kisses all over my face.

When he stopped kissing me, I pulled my head back far enough to where I could look in his eyes. “So long as our families are there I am good with getting married as soon as possible.”

Since we had everything packed, we skipped showers and hit our favorite breakfast cafe before hitting the road. While at breakfast we did a little online research, we needed to get a marriage license 24 hours before we could legally get married, we could get the license online but it would need to be notarized 24 hours before the ceremony. So while I called a couple places near my parents that I thought would be okay locations, he searched for places we could have the notarization done on a Saturday.

Before we even finished breakfast we had an appointment with a notary, we had found someone to officiate, and we had reservations at Jacks to use their private dining room. We agreed to stop at the outlet mall on our way home to see if we could find something for us to wear. We just had to decide if we were going to tell anyone before they showed up for “dinner” Monday night.

Leaving the café, we headed back to campus so we could print the license before meeting the notary. Once the document was official we hit the road. We quickly realized we had to tell Curtis, Will and Callie along with Alfred and Norma if we wanted them to make it. So while he drove I called Norma to give her the details. Once we stopped at the outlet mall, I went into a few shops while he called his brother. At the second store, I found a perfect off-white crochet style sweater dress. Given the material, it stretched nicely to accommodate my huge boobs. I already had the perfect bra and panties, the light blue ones that Steve doesn’t know I replaced that covered my old and blue. The only thing I was going to have to do is sneak something borrowed, I figured between my mom and Sierra I could find something without them noticing.

I found Steve at the menswear store looking through their racks. He had a stack already hanging off his arm which made me laugh. I hadn’t pictured him as a shopper. He was quick to remind me that he needed new clothes for work. I had forgotten about that, so instead of laughing at him, I helped him pick out a few different ties to go along with the clothes he picked.

By noon we were back on the road headed home. Killing the music Steve glanced at me while trying to keep his eyes on the road, he asked me, “Are you sure you don’t want a big wedding? You aren’t going to be disappointed down the road telling the story to our kids?”

I honestly hadn’t thought about it, I was only thinking about the end result, having Steve as my husband. I tried to think about how I would feel in the future, but the truth was I couldn’t see being disappointed. It made me question if anyone would be disappointed by us moving so quickly. My parents seemed truly happy that Calvin and Sierra got married so quickly. Shoot, even they got married quickly all those years ago; but I was their only daughter. It made me question whether they had hopes and dreams of me having a big wedding. Steve could see the wheels turning in my head; he gave me time before asking, “Well Babe, what do you think?”

Flashing him my, life is perfect smile, “I think I love you. You are amazing. I could never be disappointed in getting married, so long as it is you I am marrying. That being said, I realized I don’t want to surprise everyone. I want to tell my parents, brothers, and Sierra. There isn’t anything that they could say that will change my mind about marrying you. But I realize that maybe my parents had dreams for my wedding. Maybe my mom wants me to wear her dress. Maybe she has been saving stuff forever for the day I get married.”

Steve reached out for my hand, gave it a squeeze, smiled, and said, “You are the amazing one Baby. I am glad we’re letting them know in advance.”

Turning the music up, I leaned over and rested my head on his shoulder as he drove the rest of the way to my parents’ house.
