“Dude, stop pacing! You’re making me dizzy. With the way you’re acting, you would think you were getting married for the first time,” Ethan said, putting an arm on my shoulder to keep me still.

“Yeah, it’s not like Heather can get out of this, man. She’s stuck with you for life. The poor thing!” Jackson smirked, shaking his head in fake pity.

I glared at him and turned to my dad.

“What’s taking so long?” I asked.

He patted my back. “Son, there are still five minutes till the ceremony starts. Calm down a bit.”

“I still can’t believe I missed everything.” Jason frowned.

A couple days ago, Jason and Freddy returned home. Jason had gone to Australia on business and Freddy was in London. Once we caught them up on everything they missed, they were absolutely shocked.

“I know! To think we missed out on all the fun, I would have loved to see Heather flip that Natasha bitch over her shoulder.” Freddy scowled.

I shook my head in amusement and stared at my watch. Still two minutes. I looked up and saw Alex walk into the church carrying Noah.

“Is she ready? William looks like he is about to go in and drag her out,” Freddy said, pointing to my face.

I rolled my eyes while Alex chuckled. “She’s ready. Our moms are just bawling their eyes out and Heather is trying to calm them down.” He sighed.

Suddenly, the music started playing and everyone quieted down, turning to look at the church doors, which were opening slowly.

The flower girl and bridesmaids walked in with their cream-colored dresses. I tapped my foot as I arched my neck, looking for the one woman who meant everything to me.

Finally, I saw her start to walk in, and the air was knocked out of my lungs. My heart was pounding.

Oh. My. Lord. Heather looked absolutely stunning, but even that was an understatement. Her dress reminded me of the ones you saw in princess movies, except less poofy. It looked amazing on her. Her hair was curled and there was a small tiara on top of her head that was attached to the veil. Not to mention that radiant glow she had because of her pregnancy. Damn, she looked gorgeous and sexy.

I could hear a ton of gasps and sighs from the crowd, and pride bubbled up inside me.

She was my wife. Mine.

“Why, you lucky bastard,” I heard Freddy mutter, and the rest of the guys laughed.

I grinned like a maniac as she slowly climbed up the steps with her father.

“Don’t make me regret giving her to you a second time, or else I won’t hesitate to burn you at stake,” Mr. Montgomery whispered.

I swallowed and nodded.

“Dad!” she chided, and he smiled, kissing her forehead.

With that, the ceremony started.

Heather

As I walked down the aisle, I could feel the butterflies in my stomach threatening to come out. I looked around and my eyes met William’s. I could see love, desire, and pride swimming in his.

He grinned at me and his eyes got misty.

Once the priest finished his part, William began his vows.

“Sweetheart, you have changed my life in so many ways. I never would have thought I could ever be this happy in life. You brought love, light, and color into my dull world, and I’m forever thankful that God thought I was worthy to have such a wonderful woman in my life. I’m forever thankful that you gave me a chance,” he said softly.

I sniffled and blushed when everyone oohed and aahed.

“No matter what happens in the future, you, Noah, and our baby will always be my first priority. Nothing will ever change that. I love you to infinity and beyond, baby,” he said, wiping one of my tears away.

I smiled and started my vows.

“William, I don’t know where my life would be if I hadn’t met you. I would probably still be lost, trying to find my Prince Charming. But you became that lighthouse I needed when I was lost at storm. I will never regret giving you and this marriage a second chance. I’m honestly the luckiest woman in the world to have such an amazing man by her side. You have no idea how much I love you,” I said, beaming up at him.

A tear fell from his eye, and I wiped it away. I could hear our mothers sobbing again, and I grinned.

The priest gave his final words and said, “You may kiss the bride.”

William swept me into his arms and kissed the life out of me. We were both grinning through the whole kiss. I could hear the wolf-whistles from the guys and cheers from the crowd.

“Save it for later, William. Don’t wear her out now!” Nathan yelled.

He pulled back, and I blushed hard as everyone laughed. We walked back down the aisle and into the limo to head over to the reception.

I felt William’s stare burn into the side of my face and I turned to face him. He grinned and tugged me onto his lap. “You’re mine again,” he whispered.

I chuckled and raised an eyebrow. “Is that all you thought of?”

He smirked. “Yep, it showed those men in the church that you’re off limits.”

I rolled my eyes. “I think they got the point when we sent the invitations out.”

“This just confirms it,” he said, leaning down to kiss my shoulder. Then he pulled back and pressed his lips to mine. I didn’t even know how long we were kissing.

“Wow, you two are so in your own world that you haven’t even noticed you are already at the reception.” I pulled away to look at Jackson, who was smirking at us.

William gave him a knowing look. “Just you wait, man. Just wait.”

Jackson’s cheeks turned a light pink and he muttered to himself as he helped me out of the limo. William wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked into the noisy ballroom. We plopped down in our seats at the front of the ballroom while everyone settled down.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Ethan began, speaking into the mic. “We will now have our bride and groom take the dance floor while our very own Jackson Presley sings John Legend’s “You and I.””

William and I walked onto the dance floor and began swaying slowly to the tune. We were in our own world, and I loved the feeling. When William and I first got married, we didn’t have a reception, so this was pretty much the make up for it.

“Did I tell you how gorgeous you look today?” William whispered, leaning his forehead on mine.

I smiled and laid my head on his chest. “I think I got an idea when your jaw dropped open.”

He kissed the top of my head. “I wasn’t the only one. I’m pretty sure I saw a few guys drooling. Unfortunately.”

I laughed. “Your possessiveness will never change.”

“It won’t. But I’m worried, what happens if we have a baby girl? I think I will need to get a gun license,” he muttered.

I shook my head in amusement.

We stayed silent, just enjoying each other’s embrace. A new song began and other couples marched onto the dance floor. I noticed Jackson glaring at something from the stage, and I lifted my head to see Hillary dancing with my cousin Declan. Uh-oh. Someone was jealous.

“Do me a favor?” I asked William. “Go grab Hillary from Declan, but somehow make sure she ends up in Jackson’s arms. She just needs a push, literally.” I winked.

William chuckled. “Looks like you’re back to matchmaking,” he said, and walked over to the pair.

I went to grab a soda, and I saw William twirl Hillary right into Jackson by “accident.” I laughed when I heard him say, “Oops. Well, I guess you two have to dance together now. I have to go get my wife.”

I snorted at his lame excuse. He walked back over to me. “Let’s go, cuddlebug, there’s a honeymoon suite waiting for us in the Bahamas.”

He picked me up bridal style and walked out before I could even get a word in edgewise.

So much for the reception.
