At first, Dane was sure that he hadn’t heard Taylor right. And then, once he was sure that he had, he thought that the most likely thing was that Taylor was making fun of him. There was just no way in hell that Taylor, proper, quiet Taylor, would ever volunteer to work this sort of job.

And yet, he had. Not only that, but they always needed people, and as it turned out, Dane’s boss was just as happy to have Taylor around for a while, since it meant that Taylor would be staying on as well.
