Bait by Pierce Smith (14)

He was there near Cody, but today his eyes carried a different meaning. They didn’t bore into Cody’s eyes like before. They were cold after only one night together. ‘Pathetic. Cocky lover. What would I do for you?’ Cody sulked, staring at him, but his unresponsive attitude made him sulk even more, and Cody walked over to his seat. Cody noticed his gaze lacked the love and affection which floated there before. He also missed the lust which he experienced the night before. Only twenty minutes were left to the end of the lesson. Cody misbehaved by biting his lips to seek Max’s attention, but he was also very attentive during the class. ‘Behaving professionally. Huh?’ Either way, he was floating high with the lust evoked by Max that night. Cody’s mind was still heady, high with elation, eyes occupied with the dark sights, body aching against the powerful thrusts, and ears deafened by their moans.

Cody kept daydreaming about Max’s body, which he had seen and felt over him the night before. It was damn beautiful, and the soft small tattoos on his chest hidden under his hair were enticing, compelling him to kiss them repeatedly. Damn. His fingers roamed on the table as if he was exploring Max’s chest that night. Playing with his body hair and looking for more colorful art in the dim-lit room. The elation drifting through his body and soul during the night was unparalleled. His palms burning against Max’s hot body, were still feeling his heat. Everything kept him on edge, and he ached for Max’s same licentious, though lewd, acts.

But today Max was different.

The lecture ended but Cody’s imagination to be with him again, in different poses, in different places, and the different things they could do together, didn’t stop. The person sitting next to him shook him gently, and Cody came to realize the professor had left the class, without coming over to him, patting his head, or helping him learn how the new symbols were drawn, holding his hand and pressing his palm meaningfully. But Cody’s mind didn’t bother much about it, because Max had already taught him so many more important things in the night. And Cody had done so many things which he had longed for during so many long, lonely years.

Still his heart ached at Max’s ignorance which he failed to explain. Stamping feet, bumping fists on the table, he dashed after him, but Max was lost in the crowd of students. Cody chased after him, attempting to make space between the students hanging around everywhere. Dirty, sweaty smells mixed in the crowd distracted him, and urged him to get away. He hurried, forced a few students aside, and made his way along to the Max’s office, but it was closed. “Fucking bugger,” he hissed and stamping his foot, he returned for his next lecture. All day went by in college running around for different classes.

Lunch was boring. Tina tried her best to find out what was wrong, as Cody usually didn’t behave as he was. Cole, as usual, was also busy, and passed unfunny jokes. Stuffing down his lunch and pouring coffee halfheartedly, Cody passed through the day, though Tina kept hanging around him to keep him occupied. She didn’t know the reason Cody was so down until when they were leaving college for the day and a car honked behind them.

“I wish you would trust me more,” Tina sulked, hugging tight to Cody’s arm.

“I do.” Cody kept his arm around her shoulder bringing her closer, “just my heart is down due to an unwanted reason…” Keeping his voice low, he muttered, his voice hesitant and half choked with saliva. The snub by Max had created darkness around his mind. Turmoil and a hell of a lot of unstable relationships in the gay community, fuck and leave, one-night stands, tripping in the club, use and throw kind of stories read on his Kindle, and rumors in real life, clouded his innocent heart. Somewhere in the crook of his mind, he knew Max had a liking for him, but how much? This question kept him hung up all day.

Was Max’s fondness for Cody only so he could ravish his previously untouched body, sleep with him, fuck him all night, and then keep him on the edge to be wanted more by Max himself? Many questions occupied his mind. Ambiguity mixed with gloominess was confusing. With almost tearful eyes, he kept walking, holding hands with Tina. He wanted Max to come from out of nowhere, hold his hands and make him his own, but he also wanted to taste the same lust on his lips which he had that night. There were so many feelings, clouding, raging, and raining within. Angst mixed with diverse emotions from lust, hatred, fear, to aching to be held by him again. His body missed Max’s powerful grip and evocative touches. A deep breath escaped him, and another sharp honk from behind broke his attention.

They turned round and found Max stalking them, driving slowly in his Mercedes. All sentiments flew out in the form of tears pooling in his eyes. Tina understood everything without a word, and she patted Cody gently on the shoulder, waving him to go ahead. Crying, Cody ran to the car, and Max opened the door. Cody was silent while Max stared at him for several moments, before waving Tina to join them in the car. At first, Tina was hesitant, but then she climbed into the back seat.

“What would you like to have Tina? Coffee and something to eat?” Max asked showing his humblest gestures.

“Anything, professor. Just coffee will do.” Tina was her normal self. It was not in her nature to be demanding from the professor on their first meeting. She smiled and showed she was very easy going, and would go anywhere with them, or do anything for Cody. Not wanting to speak much, she let both men make the call.

“I am hungry,” Cody sulked, avoiding Max’s stare, who carried a naughty smirk on his lips.

“Okay. And what will you have?” Max asked politely, smiling softly and looking with love at Cody.

“I am angry too.” Brooding deeper, Cody ignored Max’s question.

“And why?” Max smiled wider.

“You should know.” He moped stamping his foot.

“Ouch!” Max behaved idiotically on Cody’s action. “Don’t hurt my darling. I bought it with my hard earned salary.” Pulling at Cody’s cheek, Max grinned wider, “I just love your possessiveness for me,”

“You should not. I am still angry.” Cody was behaving like a brat. It was the first time in his life that he behaved like this, but he loved being naughty, sassy and childish. The feeling of someone taking care of him, who would always take care of him, and who would have the privilege of him, almost to the level of exploitation, was overwhelming. Max smiled and Cody smiled back, but he kept looking away from his devilish professor, who was being the humblest person today. Cody loved bringing Max to his knees. “and I am hungry now.”

“Sure,” Max grinned, looking in the rear-view mirror at Tina, who was grinning too. “Tina, so we need to feed our baby boy.”

“Seems so, Sir,” Tina smiled, looking at Max. Seeing him like this was new for her too. “So where are we going?”

“The Delicate Palace,” Max replied and started his car.

The Delicate Palace was the smartest hotel in the city, and its restaurant was the best in the state. Tina would never have thought of going there by herself. She chuckled. She was going there despite not having any special reason. She patted Cody’s hand and attempted to cheer him up. Cody wasn't really angry now, just behaved as if he was. He smiled at her. Max drove swiftly and soon the car stopped in front of The Delicate Palace. A valet rushed out to greet them and opened the car door for Tina first. She was honored and delighted at the same time. Smiling, she entered without bothering to look behind her to check whether Max and Cody followed. Inside, standing in the huge foyer of the hotel, she relished the beautiful decor, admiring all the delicate and lavish items decorating the foyer.

Outside, as Cody stepped ahead, Max grabbed hold of his hand, and pulled him into a corner. The place was well hidden behind heavy bushes and climbers. The roses and assorted climbers full of aromatic flowers and leaves hid them well. “Don’t behave like this with me,” Max holding tight around Cody’s waist, nibbled at his ear.

“Leave me alone,” Cody struggled, although he enjoyed Max’s possessiveness. “I don’t like this.”

But Max wouldn’t leave Cody be. He bit at his neck and Cody moaned, leaning all his weight against Max who stumbled for a second before regaining his balance and leaned against a big flowerpot. “Don’t be a brat otherwise I will cuff you and punish you all night.”

“Who is stopping you?” Cody craned his neck, bit hard at Max’s cheek leaving red teeth marks, and ran inside.

When Cody ran into the foyer, looking back at Max, he bumped into Tina. “Ouch! Watch yourself.” She hissed.

“So sorry.” Cody laughed, and stood still. Max caught up to them.

“Leave it. I was thinking of something else. Wow! Look how beautiful this foyer is? Which way is the restaurant?” Tina, amazed at the beauty, looked all around, taking in the splendor. She didn’t notice both of them were late coming inside, and even didn't think they would sneak out for a time, flirting in that crowded place. “It’s downstairs through this way,” Max guided, taking the lead.

Max’s gentlemanliness impressed Tina. She guessed something was already brewing between the men, but at what level she wasn't sure. She followed Cody as he looked at Max. Watching Max’s ass moving, Cody’s mind went straight to the gutter, dreaming, recalling how it looked without his pants the other night. A hairy, sexy bum with firm globes. Cody drooled. But by then, Max disappeared downstairs followed by Tina. He hurried quickly down after them.

The restaurant was huge; his eyes widened at the view. More than a thousand people could sit there. The roof and floor shone like glittering diamonds. The interior was done artistically, carrying both antique and contemporary shades. Tina also stood awestruck. Max came back, taking hold around the waists of both students, he murmured softly. “Don’t act like strangers. Behave normally.”

“Sir, I cannot, it’s like a palace in here.”

“It is. The Delicate Palace. Didn’t you read the signs outside?” Cody cockily stepped ahead. He was damn proud that Max brought them here, showing his claim on him. And Max had shown how nice he was, bringing Tina to such an expensive place.

“Don’t be mean. You are not gonna pay for me.”

“Hardly matters,” Max interrupted, “One of us will pay... we both are one.” Hugging Cody close, Max acknowledged their liking for each other. That was more than enough for Cody. He was on cloud nine. Max’s acceptance and then preferring him and his words over others.

‘What the hell else do I need now in my life? The love I desired, and that was for the first time, with Max. and he is all mine.’ He blushed and looked away, hiding his eyes from both of them. The smile on his lips didn’t fade away until after their meal ended.

Max paid, as expected. The bill was beyond the pockets of Tina and Cody together, and then Max drove them both home, taking the shortest route to Tina’s and the longest to Cody. The journey was mostly silent with Tina asking the occasional question, getting to know more about Max. Before Tina was dropped off, Max hinted for her to be silent about his and Cody’s growing relationship, as they didn’t know much about college administration. The reaction could be Max would lose his job. Tina nodded and said goodnight to them both.

Upon reaching Cody’s apartment, Max didn’t stop, rather he sped onwards. With wide eyes, Cody looked at him, but the meaningful smirk on Max’s lips gave away his plan. What could Cody say? The whole thing happened as his heart wished, what his body ached for, and his throbbing dick yearned. Cody smiled, reclined deeper into the seat and let things happen as they would. He didn’t want to stop, change or undo any of them. His heart melted with the longing of wanting to feel Max again. His hardness, manliness, hunger and thirst for him. The anticipation of things that would happen after a while, melted him. There was so much to feel, and sense, and imagine. His mind was clouded with all the dark images of them being together. The smell and the sensations made him numb. Forcing his mind out of the turmoil he felt, he looked outside the window, his lips pursed, eyes locked on the view passing by. But after a moment, his mind ran back into Max’s bedroom, and Max lying over him. Deep moans kept resonating inside.

Tonight Cody would be an altar.

Tonight the sacred cult

Would be practiced

Once again

As they entered inside Max’s house, Cody was stripped against the door, before they could even lock it. Max also hurriedly threw off his own clothes.
