Bait by Pierce Smith (4)

Cody went home with a spring in his step. Rushing back with thoughts of professors and their heady effects on him. Just as Cody hit the lock with his key, the door swung open with an easy flow. It swung wide before him. Lost in the thoughts and fun of the day, Cody peered inside and found a teenager, almost his age, sprawled on the shared couch. Their eyes met and Cody smiled on his awkwardness. He walked in normally, pushing the door closed, and making sure it was locked this time. He smiled again at the guy who didn’t bother to sit and offer him space on the couch.

“Hey I’m Cody, your roommate,” Cody smiled and extended his hand while dragging a chair near to the couch.

“Hello, I’m Joseph but I prefer Joe. My dad uses Joseph when I’m in trouble, which is quite often.” He laughed.

“Just Cody for me.” Cody joked. “And trouble and I are not good friends,” he chuckled at himself. Joe smiled and Cody scanned the room. Joe’s luggage was scattered all around the lounge. Half the contents of a large suitcase were piled up on the floor. On the kitchen counter was an array of tasty looking food. There were lots of tins, and packets of cakes and cookies. Chocolate bars had their own place, a large bag filled with various types. Cody’s eyes took one complete turn of the room and then met back with Joe who was looking at him. Joe smiled, as did Cody.

“Quite a lot of luggage I see.” Cody smirked.

“Yeah dude. I plan to complete my studies here. No running back home for me,” Joe winked in fun. “When did you arrive in the city?”

“Last night.” replied Cody.

“How are the chicks in town?” Joe flicked his tongue and folding a cushion under his arms, he stared at Cody bringing all sorts of naughtiness onto his face.

“I hope. Finest.” Cody winked with the same wickedness. Though his mind was wondering if he had even looked at any girls around the city or campus. Sigh. None. Cody noticed chocolate packets thrown on the other side of the couch. He hated garbage littering all around the place. Joe didn’t look like a slob either.

Joe found what Cody was staring at. He smiled, “Dude, don’t worry I was tired and hungry both at the same time. You know how tough it can be to handle them side by side. So I relaxed first, you can see that, and had a little something to stuff my growling stomach. I will try to clean the room later.”

Cody knew just exactly how much Joe would try. Anyway, he would keep his own room closed from this jerk. Cody sulked deeply, though inviting a smile from Joseph who was now narrating a different story. Perhaps, Joe was going to bug Cody longer than he was thinking.

“Why don’t you share something?” Joe spoke, interrupting Cody’s thought trail.

“Like?” Cody didn’t comprehend Joe’s point.

“Help yourself to any of the food, apart from the plain chocolate and orange bars. I will kill anyone who eats those. Anything else is free for you to forage. My mom is worried I will starve to death.” Joe showed his relaxed and friendly persona.

Grabbing a packet of cookies, Cody thanked Joe and reclined against the kitchen counter. There were two bedrooms in the apartment, one each, one shared bathroom, and a kitchen/small lounge completed the layout. Having a shared couch, refrigerator, and television, it was an average cost setup for students. Cody had chosen his room, the one with the balcony and it was a standard size. Cody didn’t bother to check the other room, which was of course going to be used by his flat-mate.

“So any specific reason why you chose this university out of the entire country?” Joe asked again.

Cody gave a moment to think. He had a reason, well, not one but several. First and most important, New York was far away from his narrow-minded hometown. Second, he wanted to have a new life. All new. Where no one knew his past, didn’t know about his father’s billion-dollar business, and would give him space to breathe, and accept him for himself. He smiled, but Joe wasn’t waiting for that. Cody got it, and replied, “I got offered admission here… first of all… and… I had a dream to live in New York. Wouldn’t it be great to study and live here? ‘You will get superb surplus opportunities to taste this city.’” All kinds of nonsensical philosophy puked out of his mouth. Joe stared at Cody for a moment and then nodded. Cody knew Joe didn’t understand a single point of his, and Cody himself didn’t have a word of Joe’s. “What about you?” he asked back.

“Nothing much. I am less into studies, my mind is quick to wander, and concentrating on a professor is hellish.” Joe blushed. He didn’t know his non-studious activities would come so early in the form of his roommate. “This university offers a hell of a lot of sports opportunities, including cycling, trekking, wrestling, swimming, and I think over a hundred of them…” Joe opened another packet of cream cookies and offered the first to Cody. Cody came to pick one and dragging a chair, he sat closer than his earlier position. “And my city boys told me New York has the best chicks… you can enjoy your youth with no guilt.” He chuckled. “As you confirmed too.” he winked.

Cody smiled at his silly roomie. “I love swimming. I was my school’s champ for the last three years.”

“I know,” Joe added surprisingly Cody, “I checked your profile before coming here.”

“What else do you know about me? All good I hope!” Cody asked with curiosity.

“Hmm... well you are a sex god!” Joe looked at Cody with a straight face, not giving a hit of amusement.

“I...I...I...don’t think that can be right. I ca... can’t belie...”

“Cody, breathe! I was pulling your leg.” Joe had to interrupt when Cody turned red and stammered, trying to get the words out. Joe was holding back a laugh, not wanting to upset his new roommate.

“I was teasing. After a while, you will get to know my humor. You may not like it but you will definitely get it!” Joe placated Cody by offering him a winsome smile and a cookie. “I do know you love solving puzzles, especially Sudoku, Kakuro, Futoshiki, and Hanjie. In fact, you have designed your own puzzle grids and published them. I’m impressed. I can just about do Sudoku but the others are too baffling.” After demolishing another cookie, Joe continued, “You play chess to championship level. Oh, and in your spare time, you play Scrabble. How you fit in swimming competitions too, is a mystery.”

“Wow you have done your homework. I was a lonely child, spending hours on my own. Teaching myself these puzzles helped me to focus and not lose myself too often to negative thoughts. The achievement when I have solved a puzzle, leaves me quite high and full of endorphins.” Cody stated proudly.

“I get that high after playing any of the sports I love. The rush is almost as good as an orgasm. If you teach me how to play chess, I will help you in the ways of the fairer sex!” The slob shoveled another cookie into his mouth.

Cody beamed at Joe, happy in the knowledge he had a new friend. Joe accepting Cody’s nerdiness, was overwhelming. Jumping up and down in his mind, Cody smiled a huge dopey grin.

“I would love to teach you chess. I have a great set hidden in my room. If you don’t mind, I can set it up in here.” Cody enthused. Joe nodded his head encouraging him.

Cody recalled he hadn’t bothered to look up his roomie on the net or the university profiles. He was a little scared to search in case his roomie was a homophobic jock who loved to bully and torment his roommates. Cody was pleased Joe appeared normal and though he was a jock, gaining a sports’ scholarship to study at this college, he was not at all like the jocks back at his school. Overall, Cody had enjoyed a brilliant first day at college.

Cody’s cookie was long gone by the time Joe threw the empty cookie packet to the floor, having eaten all the rest himself. Cody looked at the pile of garbage. ‘So he is a foodie too.’ “Get ready for dinner; we will need to go out for it.” Saying this, Cody stood to walk into his own room.

“How about in an hour?” Joe asked, and he stood up from the couch. “I want to shower first.” Uttering, he threw his t-shirt on the couch. Stretching himself, he peeked down through the bars of the balcony. “We have some good kitties around.” He smiled staring someone down. Cody knew what he meant. But his eyes were stuck on Joe’s toned muscles and extra low jeans. Joe’s ass cleavage was peeping out of his Aussie’s waistband. Joe had an athlete’s body, built up with super defined muscles. Cody drooled. He knew Joe would get lucky earlier than him on this campus. Sighing, he kept staring at Joe’s back and ass. “You wanna enjoy too?”

Joe’s sudden turning caught Cody red-handed staring at Joe’s ass. Though Joe was more excited in finding ladies so near to him just in the immediate surroundings, he was also imagining the countless possibilities for him both in the city and on campus. Scoping the city at night was a very big plus. He was lost in how to get them into his bedroom. Cody smiled, “Why not?” he walked up to Joe and stood side by side, resting his knees against the windowpane. The space was narrow and their two hot bodies were touching each other. Joe was hotter than Cody expected. Their arms were touching and neither seemed to want to get away. Joe was busy in watching the ladies roaming in the downside park, whereas Cody was busy in absorbing Joe’s heat. An abrupt chiming in the hall distracted them. Joe jumped and Cody chuckled at him.

“Damn this clock,” Joe hissed.

“It’s seven o’clock. You need to hurry. I will be in my room.” So saying, Cody walked over to his room. It wasn’t locked. It didn’t need to be. Swinging the door wide, he moved inside, and jumped onto his bed. He needed that much relaxed comfort. Throwing his shoes into the corner. Cody felt Joe’s uncomfortable viruses had migrated into his blood. Closing his eyes, he recalled each handsome face he had met since this morning. Drake, damn freakishly, sexy hunk. Max, fucking hot bastard. And then, Joseph, silly stupid hottie, next door. Knots twisted him. Whom to choose? He giggled with closed eyes and rolling over, he sat up, opening his eyes. Dragging his rucksack over, he took out his laptop to find all his notes from the day’s lessons. Too riled up to study, he downloaded all the books with student/teacher relationships he could find, onto his Kindle. After all was said and done, he had to find out how to bait his teachers and make them fall for him. Did they like nerdy, sassy or a freshman look? Or did they go for hunks, or athletic studs? Blushing, he rolled on the bed, ‘Lawd, my heart will kill me. These professors are devils in disguise.’ He giggled and rested his laughing head over his Kindle. His mind was racing between the two professors. How to finalize? Both were studs in their own right. No comparison. ‘Can’t I have both? Huh! Not possible. Each of them behaves like a Dom. Phew.’ His heart chirped.

Slipping his rucksack down to the bed, he flipped through pages of handsome cover models in different magazines. Finally having settled on one, he heard a slight knock on the door. It was open, and Joe’s face was peeking in behind it.

“I need help. If you don’t mind. In all the hassle, I forget where my keys are. I need something to wear… I hope you won’t mind for a day.” Joe made a funny face while uttering nonstop.

Chuckling Cody sat on the bed. “No worries. You can take anything from there... whatever fits you,” he smiled pointing at his wardrobe and the pile of luggage. Joe was shocked to see Cody’s neatly arranged room.

Grinning wider, Joe rushed over to the wardrobe. Cody watched him fumble and grab his small towel, trying to hide his assets. Cody giggled on Joe’s awkward situation, but immediately turned serious. He turned his back to the wardrobe, “Don’t feel uncomfortable. I am not watching you.” and buried his head in his Kindle. Joe, without replying, started hunting for jeans in which he would fit. They were roughly the same waist size. “Look in the corner side; I have a few pants with adjustable waists. They will fit you.”

“Thank you mate.” Joe replied nervously. Finally, he dragged out a tracksuit and throwing his towel on the floor, he slipped inside the stretchy navy pants.

However while trying to avoid looking, Cody had a glimpse of Joe’s bubble butt, and clean-shaved, loosely hanging balls in the full-size mirror in front of him. However, his dick didn’t appear. Perhaps it shrunk into its smallest size after a shower. It was cold. Or perhaps Joe had masturbated in the bathroom. He had taken a longer time than a normal shower, ‘and it’s withered up.’ Cody’s mind was still in the gutter when Joe interrupted him. Joe placed his hand on Cody’s shoulder while he was thinking about him. Cody jumped in surprise.

“I’m ready,” Joe said, still holding Cody’s shoulder and pressed it lightly, trying to soothe his surprise.

‘I have monsters all around me… making me fall for them.’ Cody blushed and lay on the bed looking at Joe, who shrugged, as if asking what he was thinking. In response, Cody smiled wider. “Can you give me a minute? I want to shower too. I am exhausted from my first day.”

“Sure. I have plenty of time.” Joe smiled and walked back to his room. Cody ran to the bathroom, and returned after thinking twice about the naked hot bods of his professors and releasing his juices on their names. He ran back out in a towel as Joe came out of his room, then slamming the bedroom door closed, he locked it and threw the towel on the floor. Pulling out a warm tracksuit, he slipped into it. He was ready for dinner.

Cody hurried into the lounge and found Joe sitting there. They smiled and walked out of the flat. After having dinner, they walked to get an ice cream a block from their apartment. When Cody turned back, he found Joe was outside, talking to one of the ladies who they had spotted from the window. Cody grinned, “jerk,” his lips muttered, watching them sharing the same ice cream, licking the cone side by side. He knew Joe would get lucky on their first night. They walked together up to their apartment, and Joe closed the door after winking at Cody.

Sighing, Cody went into his own room and, jumping on the bed, he flipped through a few book pages. Soon getting bored, he logged onto his Facebook profile and searched for Prof Maximus Wolfe and Prof Aloysius Drake. Both handsome hunks soon came into his search list. Not wasting time, he sent them each a friend request. Max accepted instantly, but he had to satisfy himself with following Drake. Moreover, Drake’s profile was a very secret kind, not accessible to many. Except for his few arrogant remarks on his own status.

While he was surfing, he heard Joe’s door opening, and he came out talking over the phone. His phone was hooked between his tilted head and shoulder, and he was tying the belt of a long and warm overcoat. Peeking through his frontal nude, Cody smiled. The lady had melted his boner, but the caller seemed to be important. Joe didn’t care to peek into Cody’s room, and reclining over the balcony he kept talking. Soon Cody figured the call was from Joe’s home and from a parent who seemed worried. Sigh! No one from his home bothered to call him.

Cody’s parents were over-busy in their own lives. No one took any notice of him. Father worked long hours in the office and mother was busy with her kitty parties. Cody had gone to see his father at work one afternoon. When there was no answer from knocking on his office door, he walked in. His father was fucking his secretary over his desk, slapping her ass and talking dirty to her. They hadn’t heard him enter, which Cody was thankful for. Quietly closing the door, he rushed to the washroom and vomited into the toilet. Sinking to the floor crying, betrayal suffocated his heart. All the sermons he had to sit through. How sex was a sin outside of marriage. How gays should be reeducated to eradicate their sinful thoughts and desires. His father’s infidelity broke the final straw of the camel’s back. Every sexual thought Cody had, he pushed down, scared of the repercussions which would befall him and his family. He couldn’t look at his father for quite a few weeks after that.

His mother was hardly home either. Organizing and attending kitty parties. He dreaded to think what the bored housewives got up to at these parties. She always claimed they played card games, gossiped, ate food, and put money in the kitty for the next party. Seeing his father fucking his secretary, altered Cody’s perspective of his parents’ marriage. Nothing was as it appeared. His father paying for an apartment and his college education, was the only decent, and in his own way, loving gesture, he had bestowed on his only son.

Leaving Georgia was no hardship. The Bible Belt state was a nest of nasty views and a backward-thinking population. People’s attitudes were changing, but in Cody’s clique, they were a bunch of sanctimonious, two-faced, pompous liars, and he was sick and tired of living a lie.

In the over-happening world, social media freaks updating Facebook, the nonstop ping-pong coming through the laptop distracted his mind. Cody heard another voice coming from the shared area, and lifted his head to look out. Joe went back into his room.

Then, Max came online. Thinking for some time, Cody pinged him. “Hi.” it was a longer while than he expected until Max returned with a winking emoji, and Cody stared at it for a moment, thinking what to say next. Cody’s ‘Hi’ was the reflex response on finding a picture of Max in a loosely opened shirt, half of his bare chest was showing through the opening. A man in leather. Cody phewed and zoomed in on his profile picture.

Cody stared at the screen. It was five minutes since Max’s response and he had not returned anything yet. Finally, his fingers scribbled something. “Hello”

And Max responded back, “Hello.”

Cody blushed, he attempted to peer deep into his shirt, and his head hit the laptop’s screen. “Silly me,” he whispered. “Hello Prof Max, good night. Just wanna wish you a sweet night.”

Before a second clicked on the clock, Max’s response returned, “You added to wish me a sweet night, kiddo?” and then a devil emoji.

“These emojis will kill me one day,” Cody spoke to himself. “I don’t know what to talk about now.” Sulking on his dumbness and shyness, Cody’s fingers typed and sent. And no sooner had he typed, “I wanna be your friend… a good one…” but before he hit the send button, Max’s response flashed on the screen, a GIF of a handsome man kissing against the screen and Good Night being typed. Cody gazed at the screen and his fingers hit send.

“Oh you are... my good one.” Max responded immediately. His typing speed told Cody he was fast and addicted to chatting. “Now give me a goodnight kiss, a proper one,” his message flashed again.

Cody fingers searched for a nice GIF with a light shade of sensuality, and soon he selected one. A boy kissing a man on his lips with a Good Night message flashing, before the room’s light switched off. And without thinking, he sent it. And then he found more happening in the darkness. The boy and the man on the bed... over each other. ‘Shiiiit!’

This time Max took some time. After a minute Max prompted “?” and after a short while… “This is sexy…” with a lot of hearts and love emojis.

Cody startled on Max’s response. It was unexpected. He wrote same, “It was unexpected…” he immediately recognized his fault and tried to patch up, but it was too late.

“Hmm... don’t lie.”

Cody was shocked. He knew he wanted to confront him, but this early and in this situation, he couldn’t. He flapped the laptop lid shut and Max’s sexy picture was gone. Excitement, mixed in fear and bliss, crammed his heart, which soon floated on his tongue making it feel tingly. Thousands of butterflies fluttered in his stomach, tingling all inside. He blushed and hid his face behind his folded legs. His mind was rushing, how would he face Prof Maximus Wolfe in class? What would he reply to him if he asked anything the next day? Hidden behind his own legs, he was blushing, giggling and between the small spaces, he was gaping at the laptop.

Cody, somewhere in his heart, knew his secret was no more a secret. Neither had he wanted to have it stay that way. Max’s intentions and his openness were always gravitating towards him. And tonight’s ebb drenched him with innocent emotions. Everything was new, untested, unfelt, his heart was full and empty at the same time. He wanted to rush and say, “Max, I am here. All yours.” Perhaps, only his. But of course, he wanted to open up before him, as his heart wanted Max to feel him. What an irony, he was magnetized towards Max but didn’t know if it was love, a silly infatuation, or just a devilish lust.

Whatever it was. It was now before Maximus.
