Bait by Pierce Smith (2)

Cody walked out of his small apartment and closed the door. He double checked the lock and walked towards the elevator. It was the first day of college and the unknown city was calling him to explore more of it. He intentionally gained admission in the bustling city of New York, far from his home town of Georgia, with only one thought, that he might get a chance to live life on his own terms. He stepped outside and inhaled sharply, feeling the freedom in the air. The sense of freshness, the salubrious morning breeze, and the slowly-filling, crowded city. He relaxed, ‘If I can’t blend in here, at least I will be lost in the crowds. Either will do.’ He smiled on his own silliness and walked towards the college.

The evening before, Cody took a walk up to the college gate. It was not too far from his place, though not close either. The campus was sprawled over a vast area and he did not know whereabouts he had to go. He was perplexed at the sight of the architecture, tall buildings, and green old trees hinting at the historic aspect of the university. He sighed. ‘I just love you as much I love this city.’ Feeling proud of his choice, he admired the varsity.

Cody expected volunteers to guide the new students, walking in his rhythm, he stepped inside the college gate, “Gosh! Don’t say I am entering inside Hogwarts!” He muttered to himself and grinning, he walked towards the display board. Freshmen, Blue Building. He looked at the arrow and thought he probably still had a way to go. A few steps ahead, there were the hoped for volunteers. He exchanged greetings and confirmed he was on the right track. With smiling gestures, they confirmed Cody still had to walk a fair way to the other side of the campus. He sighed and they giggled. He was pleased with the warm welcome.

‘Lawd, I won’t ever need to run on a treadmill, this walk will be sufficient.’ he stepped further ahead and hearing a screeching sound at his back, he turned and saw a big, metallic-black BMW idling behind him. He adored the beastly beauty of it, and stared for some time, assessing why it suddenly stopped.

He peered through the windscreen, seeing a blurred image of a man behind the steering wheel. The passenger seat was empty. He glanced at the man but could not get a clear view through the tinted glass. “Asshole.” He murmured and stepped off in the direction of his building. He blushed when the man sounded his horn again. ‘Am I getting lucky on the very first day? Woot woot.’ Cody could not control a spontaneous smile from floating across his face. The BMW cruised along with him and the passenger’s window slid down, ‘Jesus! This guy is flashing at me…’

Halting all the naughty thoughts invading every corner of his mind, a deep husky voice attracted his attention. “Hey Kid, do you want a ride?”

‘Fuck me! I bet he is the best among all the Holy fucking Gods of the entire universe. Adopt me daddy,’ Cody purred lustily at him. He was a hunk. A deific, beautiful face, with sultry, blue eyes staring at him, short, black, trimmed hair, delicately combed on his head, early-morning clean-shaven, with a chiseled chin. Biceps big enough to lift three boys like Cody, broad shoulders, and a black shirt stuck to his gym-toned pectorals, and tailored pants smartly hiding his bulky thighs. Cody purred lasciviously, while running his eyes up and down the well-defined hunk. His eyes were still hunting anything he had missed out in the stranger’s persona. The only new thing he found, was now this man was smirking at him, with his lips curling at the right side, ‘Gosh, kill me.’

The man opened his mouth to ask again. But before he could, Cody spurted out. “Yes please. I need to go to the Blue Building.” Cody hurried on, not wanting to lose any chance of missing a ride with him. He smiled ear to ear. The smirk on the man’s face grew wider.

“Then get in.” he gestured to the passenger seat and opened the door for him. Cody jumped in and fastened the safety belt around his torso. The hunk smiled at his awkward hurriedness. “Are you done?” he confirmed.

“Yes.” Cody chuckled, a red blush covering his entire body. Staring at this man’s face, who was concentrating on the road, mindful of errant students wandering aimlessly to their classes as he drove on. “Thank you for the ride.” Cody added.

“No problem. You seem to be new on Campus. Never seen you before.” His husky, seductive voice was melting Cody again.

‘He is curious about me.’ Cody smiled. “Yes. I am a fresher. Came to the city yesterday at noon. I am from Georgia. I’m Cody.” Sprinting quickly through his introduction in one breath, he smiled wider.

But the hunk drove swiftly and before he could say anything else, the car stopped in front of his building. “There you go.”

“Quite fast.” Cody was annoyed. He was expecting a longer conversation.

The hunk chuckled, “Yes, it’s not that far when you ride,” he blinked at Cody.

‘Rascal. Couldn’t you drive any slower than you did?’ Cody sulked at the hunk. “At least tell me your name,” he almost pleaded. “And what do you do? You’re not a student.”

The hunk laughed devilishly and it echoed in the closed car, “Do I look like a student? I’m Drake, Professor of Cosmology.”

“You don’t look like a professor.” Cody stretched the conversation. Drake’s laugh rang a bell in his ear. Cody was enticed by his manly laughter.

“Kid. I am a professor here. I must be at least a decade older than you.” Drake looked back at Cody who was staring at his abs, up and down. The sudden attention from him perplexed Cody, as if Cody was caught red-handed.

“So how old are you?”

“Cheeky boy! I am 32.”

“Wow. You are handsome and your personality denies your age.”

“Thanks for the compliment. But I need to go to my faculty office and I think you need to rush to your class. It’s the first day and your first classes, right? Time to get some chicks in your life. You are an adult and legal for everything here. It’s New York, dude.” And he patted Cody’s head. Feeling his heavy palm, Cody felt himself drifting towards him.

“Yes, sir,” Cody chuckled like a sincere kid. ‘What else would he do for him!’

“Now, time to go,” Drake, added.

“Yes, Sir,” Cody said looking at him. Drake gestured for him to get out of the car and leaned across to open his door. Drake’s face passed near to Cody’s lips. He thought about, but did not dare, drop a kiss on his freshly shaved cheek. Though the scent of Drake’s fresh aftershave filled Cody’s nostrils. He was intoxicated. Drake was back in his place and staring at Cody to get out.

“Cody?” Drake dragged him out of his thoughts, and gestured again.

“Yes, Sir.” Cody got out immediately.

“You can call me Drake.” Drake winked, gave a seductive smile, pretending this was his signature smile.

Cody blushed and smiled at him, waving hands, “Bye Drake.” Cody utilized the opportunity fully to flirt with Drake, though Drake assumed him to be only a kid, yet. The smile on Drake’s face widened hearing his name from Cody’s lips. He drove slowly away and Cody watched him. But Drake did not drive too far, just a short stretch and then parked his car near to the Blue Building. Cody chuckled on watching Drake coming back towards him. Cody’s heart was pounding hard. The smile on his face widened. Drake reciprocated with a returning smile.

“We both stay in the same building.” Chuckling at him, Drake walked in front of Cody. He entered an elevator and disappeared. Cody could only stare after his fast, masculine walk.

“Nice ass,” he murmured after Drake. And giggled on his words while covering his mouth with his hand. “Yes he has a nice ass.” And he laughed at his place. “Huh, arrogant, but a seductive Professor,” he muttered again and mimicked Drake’s smile. He kept practicing the smile until he met another group of volunteers who guided him to his classroom. They even had lectures on the same floor.
