First Time Lucky by Chance Carter (130)

Chapter 13

Elle

Elle was in shock. She looked at the scene in front of her, the broken stool, the smashed bottles, the looks on the faces of Kelly and Harry.

When Forrester called back to her, her heart flipped. She thought he was going to leave without a word to her. Now she was torn. Did she even want to be anywhere near a guy like that?

Forrester didn’t wait. He just kept walking, right out the door. Elle looked at Kelly for help. She only had a moment to make up her mind, she knew that much.

“What are you waiting for?” Kelly said.

“You think?” Elle said, looking deeply at her friend.

“You’re crazy about that guy. It’s so obvious. If anything, I’d say you’re as crazy as he is. You’re perfect for each other.”

“What about you?” Elle said.

“I’ve got to get back to my brother. He’s the only man in my life.”

Elle laughed, and then, hardly even able to believe what she was doing, she found herself running out of the bar after Forrester. Outside, she saw his truck. He was sitting in the driver seat waiting for her. She ran around and hopped in.

Forrester turned and smiled at her.

“You’re here,” he said.

“Does that surprise you?”

He laughed. “I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know if anything would surprise me about you.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

He shrugged. “You’re something, you know that?”

“I’ve heard it,” Elle said, a little unsure of what he meant.

“Your name’s Elle, isn’t it?”

Elle nodded. “And yours is Forrester.”

Forrester reached out and took her hand. Elle held her breath. She wasn’t sure what was about to happen. He looked at her small hand in his larger one and smiled. He brushed it lightly with his thumb, then lifted it up to his mouth and kissed it.

“This is what I wanted to do last night in the diner,” he said.

Elle just looked at him, her mouth open in surprise.

“Why?” she said. She really wanted to know. In fact, she was dying to know. Never in her life had someone just chosen her out of the blue, the way Forrester had, and given her so much attention.

“I’m not sure,” he said. “I just saw you there, in the diner, and then you came over, and without thinking, I took your hand.”

He let out a little laugh, as if surprised or embarrassed by what he’d just admitted, then turned on the truck and pulled out of the lot. Elle watched his every move. She looked at his hands. The way he turned the key. She looked at the fob on the key, it was a metal pit bull, and it dangled from the ignition like a dog bobbing it’s head. He turned to her and she looked away in embarrassment. He smiled. She looked out the window as they drove. It was starting to snow and the gentle white flakes glowed in the street light. He passed the intersection and didn’t turn for the diner or her little attic apartment, he kept going along the Main Street, all the way to the fancy hotel at the end of the street.

“You’re staying here?” she said.

“Seems like the only place in town worth staying,” Forrester said.

“It’s pretty fancy.”

They passed through the wrought iron gates, the flame torches giving the courtyard a romantic, antique feel.

“It’s okay,” Forrester said. “It’s nice to have the things you’re used to.”

Elle looked up at the hotel. It was like something out of a travel magazine, part rustic ski lodge, part French chateau. Through the windows, the glow of the warmth inside looked golden. The copper details on the doors and windows were polished so brightly they looked like flames. Two valets in uniforms resembling the guards of the Queen of England came down and took the keys to the pickup from Forrester.

“This is what you’re used to?” Elle said in disbelief.

Forrester shrugged. Elle looked at him more closely. Not only was he hot, he was rich too. She’d never have guessed from looking at him. His clothes, scars, tattoos, and old pickup truck sure didn’t give off the impression of wealth.

“You’re a real eligible bachelor aren’t you, Forrester?”

Forrester laughed. “Come on,” he said. “You can make up your own mind on that.”

A doorman in uniform greeted them as he held the brass revolving door. “Mister Snow, Madam.”

“Henry,” Forrester said, and slipped a bill into the man’s hand.

“Thank you very much, sir,” Henry said.

Elle looked around the hotel lobby and her jaw dropped. She felt as if she’d just been pulled into a fairytale. She’d heard that places like this existed, but she’d never have imagined that she’d find them up here in the mountains. She’d also never have imagined that a super hot guy would be inviting her in.

Up until that very night, Elle was a person who’d thought she knew what her life had in store for her. She wasn’t a pessimist, she didn’t have a bad outlook on life, but experience had taught her what she could expect. She liked to think of herself as a realist. She hadn’t had her life handed to her on a silver spoon. In fact, quite the opposite. She’d had to work her butt off for everything she’d ever had, and even then, it was often taken away from her. Being brought into a luxury hotel and greeted by servants dressed in red velvet jackets wasn’t exactly something that was on her radar.

“This place is incredible,” she gasped.

A huge chandelier hung from a vaulted ceiling and bathed the entire lobby in warm candlelight. A fire burned brightly in the fireplace facing them. By the entrance was a valet, a bellhop, a coat check, and a bunch of other attendants in uniform. To the side was the reception, and on the facing wall were floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pristine peaks and slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

“It’s beautiful,” Forrester said. “Wait till you see the views in the morning.”

Elle looked into his eyes. “The morning?” she said.

Forrester just grinned. He turned to the members of the hotel staff who were all watching him.

“Gentlemen,” he said, “this is Elle. She’s my guest. I beg you all to treat her with the greatest respect. Give her anything she wants.”

“Yes, sir,” one of the men said.

Forrester brought her to an intricately decorated elevator and pressed a button marked penthouse. Once the doors closed he turned to her.

“It’s just you and me now,” he said.

Elle didn’t know what to say. There was a lump in her throat and she felt as if she might cry. She wasn’t sure why she felt so emotional, but it was definitely happiness that was the dominant feeling.

“I see that,” she said, quietly.

“That’s all right with you, right?”

She nodded.

“Because you know what I’m going to do to you?”

Elle caught his eye. She shook her head, almost imperceptibly. The elevator stopped with a ding and they stepped out into a small anteroom that contained a large mirror, a leather sofa, a fire, and large silver vases filled with flowers. Facing them was a carved oak door.

“When you cross this door,” Forrester said, “everything’s going to be different.”

“What do you mean?”

“Your entire world, Elle, your entire future, everything. It will all change, for both of us.”

She looked into his deep, dark eyes, and somehow, she knew that he was right. If she walked through that door with him, nothing would ever be the same again.

She took a deep breath. “Then what are we waiting for?” she said.

Forrester laughed, then bent down and swept her off her feet, lifting her into his arms as if she weighed no more than a child. No one had ever made her feel that way before.

The door opened and inside was the most beautiful, luxurious suite Elle could have ever imagined. It was like something that had been created for royalty, with room after room, perfectly set out for the luxury and comfort of the guests. She gasped as Forrester carried her through a beautiful sitting room like something out of Versailles, filled with roses and other flowers, an enormous fire burning on one side and spectacular views on the other. Then they passed through another, similar room, but this one had a large dressing room off to the right, and to the left was a bathroom that looked like a spa, with a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and shower. After that was the bedroom, in the center of which was the largest, softest, four-posted bed Elle had ever seen in her life.

Forrester lay her down on the bed and then rose up above her. Elle shivered in apprehension. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought that a man like Forrester would be carrying her to his bed.

“We just met,” Forrester said to her, “but we’re not strangers, you and I.”

“Is that so?” Elle said.

“Yes it is,” Forrester said, and he took off his coat and threw it on a chair behind him.

“How do you know that?” Elle said, admiring the tattooed and muscled arms that his white shirt revealed.

Forrester pulled the shirt up over his head and Elle’s heart skipped a beat when she saw his perfectly chiseled abs and chest. Forrester was like a man carved from marble.

“Because I watched you.”

“Where?” she said.

He was slowly opening his belt, and Elle felt herself get hot and wet beneath her skirt.

“In the diner, in the bar. I watched the way you act, the way you treat people.”

“And what did you see?”

“I saw that you’re stronger than you pretend. You’re not afraid of people. You’re not afraid to stand up for yourself. You’re not afraid of a fight, if there has to be one.”

“You aren’t either,” she said.

Forrester smiled as he let his jeans fall in a bunch around his ankles. Then he stepped out of them.

“That’s why we’re a perfect match for each other.”

“A perfect fit?” Elle said, suggestively.

“We’re about to find out,” Forrester said, and with that, he ripped off his white boxer shorts, revealing his entire naked body to Elle’s gaze.

Her breath caught in her throat when she saw what he had to offer her. His perfect torso led in a V of strong muscle to the largest, thickest cock she’d ever set eyes on. Even in photographs, even on the Internet, she’d never seen anything like Forrester’s cock. It reminded her of the limb of a tree, and that made her wonder if that’s why his name was Forrester.

She let out a giggle and instantly threw her hand over her mouth.

Forrester just smiled at her.

“I imagine you’re nervous right now,” he said. “Let me tell you that you absolutely should be. I am going to devour you.”

He lowered his massive, naked, muscular body down over hers, and Elle felt the muscles in her legs quiver in anticipation. She’d never done anything like this in her life. She’d never been so swept away from reality. So taken by a man. She and Forrester had only just met. Now she was in his bed. It was insane.

“I’ve always had a thing for a waitress in uniform,” he said.

Then he leaned down low over her, face to face, and brushed his lips against hers. Elle held her breath, afraid to breathe. Forrester’s eyes bore into hers. His gaze was so intense that she had to shut her eyes. He brushed his lips against hers again, and this time let his tongue gently wet her lower lips. Elle opened her mouth, just a little, wanting to taste the wetness of Forrester’s tongue.

He gave it to her. With her eyes still closed, he let his tongue slide into her mouth and play with hers. She arched her head back as he kissed her. It was a long and passionate kiss that went on and on, his tongue dancing with hers inside her mouth.

Elle was in heaven. She never wanted that kiss to end. She never wanted Forrester to stop devouring her. His hands were all over her, running over her body, up inside her skirt, over her breasts. He broke off his kiss to give his attention to the important task of pulling off her black tights. He slipped them off and Elle crossed her legs in some vain attempt to protect herself from him. She didn’t even want to be protected. After that, he pulled her waitress dress up over her head and she felt so vulnerable and exposed she thought she’d die.

He was looking down on her, and she was wearing nothing but her plain black panties and bra. If she’d known she was going to end up in this situation, she’d have worn something fancier.

“I can’t believe how beautiful you look,” Forrester said.

“You’re just saying that,” she said. She was sure she was a mess. She could stand to lose a few pounds, get a tan, have a bath, wash her hair, freshen up her makeup, put on perfume, get her nails done, the mental list of the ways she was letting herself go went on and on.

But Forrester had none of those things on his mind. To him, she couldn’t have looked more perfect. His heart was pounding in his chest like a drum as he looked down at her.

“I’m going to strip you bare,” he said, “and them I’m going to have my way with you in every way I desire.”
